Ah...yellloooowwww....I used to hate it, now I love it and I've definitely got some yellow scarves. (Pastels on the other hand...eeek...I think I ended up purging most of mine over the last year, but I may still have a couple I will unearth...)

I do solemnly swear not to wear my H cadena this week.

30 July 2017 YELLOW OR PASTEL SCARVES
I'm not ordinarily a yellow scarf person -- I even avoid colorways with too much "H gold" (which can look quite yellow sometimes). But thanks to Silky Friends like Lanit and others who wear yellow with such success, I've begun to dip my toe into some shades that actually don't look all that bad -- I already love orange, which isn't that far from peach, which kind of drifts into apricot, and before you know it, YELLOW!

Here are the results of some of my forays:
From last week, Fleurs et Papillons de Tissus with yellow highlights

Cavalcadour in pale yellow with shades of blue

Traité des Armes in a nice butter yellow

A tricky scarf to wear, as the design is small and leaves a wide plain hem (right, Momasaurus?)
Tying it in back shows the pattern better:

The "pale peach" category: Rivieres of Babel in a shade not often seen (at least by me)

And full-on yellow with Carrosserie

And my favorite apricot shade of Noel 24 Faubourg (because of the red ribbons)

And yes, if you don't have much yellow, remember that pastels are welcome this week too!
My new-to-me Les Amazones! (with touches of yellow)

You wear yellow so well, dear! My Traité has a wide border unfortunately, yours is so perfect.

You wear yellow so beautifully, lanit!

Oh my! Love that ZP mousse!
Glorious ksuromax!
I love your yellows!!! You always look so fresh, and chic!

Thank you for the introduction to this week's bright and happy colour, ABQ2ATL! Your Traité des Armes is beautiful, especially against a dark top. Like you, I admire @lanit 's ability to wear H silk "sunshine", and looking forward to everyone's yellows and pastel scarves.
Thank you so much Elaine, bunny, litchi and bobkat. I love yellow but only the lemon yellows work on me!
Twins with Lanit who helped inspire me to jump for a very yellow shawl ,one of my most treasured now . Concours d'Etriers at Hermès pop up café last Summer.
This photo of you is glorious especially against the neutral h background! So happy to be your twin dear!

Taking the bus toSt Pauls to see the Giocometti exhibition at Tate Modern.
Sangles en Zigzag is so useful, it segues into a casual outfit in a kinda cool way [ she hopes!]

DH bought this in H Mexico City , crazy man…prices so much higher there, I wasn't overwhelmed by the pattern at first but now I reach for it all the time as it ties so nicely and goes with everything without being matchy.
That bit of lemon yellow lifts the whole thing.

Twins on both, frou frou! IMO the Zigzag is something special in this cw.

Is your bracelet called Croisette? There is an H ring of the same design (assuming the photo shows basically the whole bracelet). Looks nice. The HS purchased by your DH looks marvelous, casual, nonchalant, cool.

Thank you, Croisette -- mine also has a wide border, but I've tied it in back and/or folded it to hide the border. This is one scarf that I would consider sending back to H to have cut down by a few centimeters. The design isn't really square, though: it's 68cm high by 70cm wide, which may be why it's printed with such a wide border -- to disguise the asymmetry.

Orange is a no-go for me, and yellow is also a color I tend to avoid. But actually I realized I can wear lemon yellow( gold not so much). My only truly yellow scarf which has enough blue to make me happy-pays oiseaux fleurs.
After buying this, I bought the under the waves with pops of yellow.
All archive shots, as I will actually be wearing a mousseline today.IMG_2381.JPG IMG_2457.JPG IMG_2843.JPG IMG_2383.JPG IMG_2423.JPG

I just love both of these on you, scarf1! oiseaux fleurs reminds me of the kitchen in Giverny... blue and yellow is such a happy color combination! And under the waves is simply lovely in the yellow cw.

I love your Capucines, bunny!

Thank you Croisette! This one was such a surprise! (It was one of my oh, I really shouldn't but well, let's throw caution to the wind scarves...)

PS- 90's are aging???? :confused1::amazed: I think we need an emergency scarf week to explore that... :p
