Oh my! How pretty and soft this is! With so much detail---you appreciate it all the more when you think that a long time ago they only had wood blocks with which to print the silk screens. Do you know the year it was issued? You can also see the genesis of the more recent Robinson Chic scarf in the sails. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Gorgeous, scarf1! I've always loved this scarf for its ephemeral design - the same reason I love toile. Do you have any pics of it tied?

And thank you for the link, that was a fascinating read! I'm so curious about her window displays now. And wonder if they stand the rest of time... Reminds me of watching Mr. Selfridge with the dreamy window design guy - Henri LeClair.

I'd be all, "Henri, you must come to my bedroom immediately! I have a *ahem* window emergency!"

And he'd be all:

Good heavens is it already next week!!!!

Extending the 'heavens' to the afterlife, the circle/cycle of life and illuminating stars with Hermes/Hades, snakes, and glints of light from Hermes' caduceus on Cad Rock (BTW that's a hat and not my hair ;) )

Textilegirl, what a rich color and just how did you tie this mousse like that? Isn't the source of all life water? You are right on theme!
Thank you bruxelles! As for tying, I can't say that I have any idea what I did; I just wrapped and knotted willy-nilly! I felt free from any sort of constraint with this one, perhaps precisely because it was a reclamation project, KWIM?:p
