I have had all the traditional cws at one time or another except for the burgundy one. the orange (sold to a good friend), chocolate (still have but dont wear it any more), the pink, the ciel (still have), and of course, the green. I also had a taupe one from the last reissue with salmon coats but i never wore it so i sold it. My friend had a white cw from the last reissue with pale blue coats which I would have loved to have but that baby sold out fast. I never saw it in stores.

Sounds like a beautiful collection.

I think I would have preferred the white/pale blue CW myself, but alas!

Ooops. I was going thru my grey scarves for my monochromatic look and I totally forgot that I also have the grey Nappy! :cray:

Well bejeweled ones, I missed this week totally (although I have been enjoying all the wonderful contributions!) so I am scurrying around looking for next week's scarves (Monochromatic). Here's Brides de Gala en Finesse"...

J - it's the perfect monochromatic scarf. Good choice.

Thanks Anfang!!! So kind of you!

frou frou - I agree! I've recently gotten into orange -- looks like I've been hit hard by the Hermes bug!

Lanit - Les Domes Celestes is next on my list! I love that pattern and you look divine in it.

Hobokenite & veryberrycherry - below is a mod pic. I didn't tie the scarf well but hopefully you get the idea :smile1:

Love the snail scarf and I think this knot is perfectly unaffected and chic!

Yesterday I wore one of my favourite 70cm silks , Chaines et Gourmettes [/B
Not sure who designed this one , Seton?

And Bibi loves it too , she's 22 now and extremely demanding of constant food and attention.

Oh Froufrou, of course your silk is lovely as are you, but Bibi is stealing your show. I know you don't mind my darling cat loving friend. What a love. Does she have all her teeth? lol

Great jewel sharing everyone!

Possibly my brightest piece of silk and a big one at that yet somehow it works for me, a neutral lover. Pique Fleuri de Provence GM cashmere.

A beauty ms piggy.

Seton has got me thinking of my most valuable heirloom. Love that detail on La Femme - the corners make me swoon. And your heirloom pieces! Priceless and beautiful.

Here is Licorne with my pop's Navajo turquoise concho belt that was handed down to me. H really loves to show off jewels and ornamentation like no other brand in their shawls.[/QUOTE

An interesting contrast Lanit!

Kind of short on jewel-toned gems here; they tend to be a bit beyond my ability to adapt to menswear (or bravery to do so). Mechanics du Temps today, which I am certain is in one of the precious stone colors. Ladies, name that stone!

John, DFW
The vibrant blues are dashing on you hermesguy! Nice.

Can you pay attention Jahna!! I love monochromatic the best! Does this mean I am kinda plain? I think it does. The high contrast doesn't work for me. Hummm.....

There's one of these listed on eBay in case anyone is hunting it.

I sincerely hope you don't think I'm offending you, Hobokenite, but I don't believe the seller that the scarf was worn twice, given the wrinkles it has. Mine was worn a gazillion times and still lay flat and nice after a night relaxing on the couch, and it doesn't have the wrinkles like such (which I think from using a scarf ring or tied to tightly).

Hola fellow silkies,
I just want to share with you my latest beauty: the gavroche Un Jardin sur le toit (A garden on the rooftop) by Mr. Dumas.
I have been in love with this cute piece of silk for a long time and I'm glad it's re-issued this year in the same format.
To me, it's yet another perfect example of H scarf and a perfect example of scarves issued in the size that is ideal for its design. I love that it is detailed and abstract, modern yet surprisingly interesting with all Parisian details: vintage cars, ladies with their baby strollers, people walking their dog (thankfully Dumas didn't draw dog p**p like IRL, a real issue in Paris, LOL). If the scarf were issued in 90cm, it would zoom up the sketches, which would kill the intricacy of them, and make the scarf look similar to other sketch/abstract scarves like Passage à Tokyo or Instruction sur l'Art, so 45cm is THE perfect size!
Also, the scarf in my interpretation is a bold statement: time changes everything in Paris - buildings, people, cars and such, like in a continuous fast-forward film - but one thing that still remains with time is that the design house, H, will continue to make beautiful products, like the ever-blooming garden on top of FSH. I sincerely hope so, as long as they don't keep printing scarves using laser to reduce costs.
Thanks for listening to my rambling. Here's the babe! (sorry I forgot to photograph the red contrast hem)

Chestnutty, this is charming. Do you like the fragrance by the same name, too? I am totally with you on the laser print. It doesn't have enough depth and luster IMO.

Ms piggy, my PF is the jaune d'or, mauve, natural.

Thoroughly enjoyed the post. What's not to love about the print, the stories, the cw and the model pics. Thanks for sharing!

Chestnutty, I like that "Jardin" a LOT! Nice tie too...

Seton, a grey "Nappy"? Never have I seen that. The pink is the one I wear.

Sparklelisab, I'll deal with you later. Gotta go look for my goats. Maybe they are hiding out in my email? You are hardly plain, dear. You LIVE on a plain.... Try to get that straight! :graucho:

Here is another monochromatic scarf, Madison Ave. It is not silk twill but softer silk crepe.

it's great in this cw. congrats! :smile1:

Perhaps you will model it for us sometime? Show the jewels and it will be perfect for this week! :graucho:

i dunno, dude. i only have one jewelry circa 1800 and it's a simple cameo, doesnt really go with the nappy. besides, i couldnt look as good as u do in yours n i have already moved onto monochromes.

! :graucho:

i guess it is more rare than some of the other cws. the interior is exactly the same as the orange, green, and navy cws.

Thank you, Chestnutty , for your lovely pix and always wonderful description! You have a real knack of conveying a scarf. I've been so looking forward to this one but rather wishing it was larger -and now I see that you're totally right about the scale. Can't wait to see it IRL!
