i am so happy to follow this thread. I don't own any H scarves yet...but am planning to purchase on my trip to Firenze and post ASAP.

Good Morning Silkies!! Today we start a new tribute to:
MONOCHROMATIC SCARVES

Monochromatic Scarves where coloration is of similar tint, tone and shade are the feature for the week. Some of us adore the similarly hued silk square where the energy is more subtle and peaceful, and others of us are more adventurous perhaps with a penchant for contrast and a splash of unexpected accent deliciousness.

Perhaps because my life in general is chaotic, I do not know, but I am more attracted to a monochromatic look. Even my bags are of similar shades to match my similarly shaded silks.

I am humbled by your compliment dear 94107! Your new striped top is fabulous on you. Aren't stripes great with h silks? I find the red necklace the perfect topping too. In fact, I might channel you right back LOL, I nearly was your twin on the DD but decided to bring home the red Evelyne instead! It looks terrific on you.

I know that u are a big Dmitri R fan. I personally think this is the most beautiful design he has ever did, altho I have a personal fondness for Prayers in the Wind. You can see some of the realism in my pic but it is even more magnifique in person.



When it came out, there was no artist attribution since it is a photograph. Glad to see this look on you and Bibi. Love your Lisse trim too. :smile1:

I just want to share with you my latest beauty: the gavroche Un Jardin sur le toit (A garden on the rooftop) by Mr. Dumas.
I have been in love with this cute piece of silk for a long time and I'm glad it's re-issued this year in the same format.
To me, it's yet another perfect example of H scarf and a perfect example of scarves issued in the size that is ideal for its design. I love that it is detailed and abstract, modern yet surprisingly interesting with all Parisian details: vintage cars, ladies with their baby strollers, people walking their dog (thankfully Dumas didn't draw dog p**p like IRL, a real issue in Paris, LOL). If the scarf were issued in 90cm, it would zoom up the sketches, which would kill the intricacy of them, and make the scarf look similar to other sketch/abstract scarves like Passage à Tokyo or Instruction sur l'Art, so 45cm is THE perfect size!
Also, the scarf in my interpretation is a bold statement: time changes everything in Paris - buildings, people, cars and such, like in a continuous fast-forward film - but one thing that still remains with time is that the design house, H, will continue to make beautiful products, like the ever-blooming garden on top of FSH. I sincerely hope so, as long as they don't keep printing scarves using laser to reduce costs.
