Fabulous! Thank you Sparklelisab for not leaving us flailing leaderlessly. Looking forward to more inspiration! Just bought a Lanit-y black and white striped shirt! Now to play in scarves!
Hello Walmart Shoppers eh err I mean Silkies, Scarfies, Beautiful Women and Dashing Men:
I have volunteered to be Silk Mistress for a bituntil I fail miserably in attempt, or am booed off the throne. No one can compare to our previous Yodas of Silk. I am such a novice in comparison, but Seton and Chestnutty and Jahna and maybe even Tosca will pop in A LOT to assist this fumbling fledgling.
Tomorrow will be my debut!
Lanit-inspired look. Never thought of wearing this scarf with this necklace, found in the back of my drawer! Great topic this week! Might sneak in another photo before it ends!View attachment 2577456

Perhaps because my life in general is chaotic, I do not know, but I am more attracted to a monochromatic look. Even my bags are of similar shades to match my similarly shaded silks.
Catching up 2 days, this thread moves so fast... Chaînes & Gourmettes is a GREAT design, congrats, frou frou!Yesterday I wore one of my favourite 70cm silks , Chaines et Gourmettes [/B
Not sure who designed this one , Seton?
And Bibi loves it too , she's 22 now and extremely demanding of constant food and attention.
seton, I'm so late I just can't have a look on your Kenyan Pearls, now invisible! But La Femme is a great one too!Sparkle, Maedi, Rosamonde, Chestnut, Eagle1002, lanit, Pegase - TY for the Kenyan love
Looks like I cant top that so I wont even try. I'll just show some antique Tibetan gau next to La Femme for today's jewelry contribute then.
TY, I am so glad that I dont suck too much at geography. Whew.
I know that u are a big Dmitri R fan. I personally think this is the most beautiful design he has ever did, altho I have a personal fondness for Prayers in the Wind. You can see some of the realism in my pic but it is even more magnifique in person.
When it came out, there was no artist attribution since it is a photograph. Glad to see this look on you and Bibi. Love your Lisse trim too.![]()
ms piggy, I never could have gone for such a bright and busy design, but you perfectly rock it! Note to self : get out of one's usual range cws!Great jewel sharing everyone!
Possibly my brightest piece of silk and a big one at that yet somehow it works for me, a neutral lover. Pique Fleuri de Provence GM cashmere.
A perfect pic, so delicate, VesperSparrow!I really didn't think I had anything for this week - until I realized my avatar is wearing her jewels as she practices L'Art d'Ecrire.
And lanit, I'm going on repeating : perfection, as ever!Seton has got me thinking of my most valuable heirloom. Love that detail on La Femme - the corners make me swoon. And your heirloom pieces! Priceless and beautiful.
Here is Licorne with my pop's Navajo turquoise concho belt that was handed down to me. H really loves to show off jewels and ornamentation like no other brand in their shawls.
Hehehehehe Chestnutty! I know a lot about p***p in Paris, my friend!Hola fellow silkies,
I just want to share with you my latest beauty: the gavroche Un Jardin sur le toit (A garden on the rooftop) by Mr. Dumas.
I have been in love with this cute piece of silk for a long time and I'm glad it's re-issued this year in the same format.
To me, it's yet another perfect example of H scarf and a perfect example of scarves issued in the size that is ideal for its design. I love that it is detailed and abstract, modern yet surprisingly interesting with all Parisian details: vintage cars, ladies with their baby strollers, people walking their dog (thankfully Dumas didn't draw dog p**p like IRL, a real issue in Paris, LOL). If the scarf were issued in 90cm, it would zoom up the sketches, which would kill the intricacy of them, and make the scarf look similar to other sketch/abstract scarves like Passage à Tokyo or Instruction sur l'Art, so 45cm is THE perfect size!
Also, the scarf in my interpretation is a bold statement: time changes everything in Paris - buildings, people, cars and such, like in a continuous fast-forward film - but one thing that still remains with time is that the design house, H, will continue to make beautiful products, like the ever-blooming garden on top of FSH. I sincerely hope so, as long as they don't keep printing scarves using laser to reduce costs.
Thanks for listening to my rambling. Here's the babe! (sorry I forgot to photograph the red contrast hem)
Awesome, rosenrot! Here is another monochromatic scarf, Madison Ave. It is not silk twill but softer silk crepe.

Cent Plis des Miao is a winner, for sure, crazyaboutshoes! I have 2 of them in 140 and they work all year long!Hello ladies. Decided to take part in this week's theme with a pendant on my cent plis des Miao shawl. I realised that its the only scarf I have with a proper jewel
