Yesterday I wore one of my favourite 70cm silks , Chaines et Gourmettes [/B
Not sure who designed this one , Seton?

And Bibi loves it too , she's 22 now and extremely demanding of constant food and attention.

your scarf is lovely, so is your cat! 22! Bibi must have received good care throughout her life. I wish mine could live just as long.

Kind of short on jewel-toned gems here; they tend to be a bit beyond my ability to adapt to menswear (or bravery to do so). Mechanics du Temps today, which I am certain is in one of the precious stone colors. Ladies, name that stone!

John, DFW

Or, how about "Mechanique..." My bad, my error. Add a week to my sentence on The Island.

John

22You look amazing in this Ms P - I love it on you. Yes, a real departure from our neutral queen. Now rethinking this colorway and design. I think I would love PF in a mousseline 140!

Here is Licorne with my pop's Navajo turquoise concho belt that was handed down to me. H really loves to show off jewels and ornamentation like no other brand in their shawls.

Thanks lanit, you're right about PF as a mousse, it would be dreamy with all the floral details. Meantime, I do see you in a GM shawl whilst we wait. :graucho:

The Licorne is just beautiful beyond words on you and the Navajo belt is the icing on the cake. You're one of those lucky duckies (like chincac) who could wear both warm and cool colours, envious!

Dear Ms Piggy

I started following this string because I saw a photo of the Pique Fleuri de Provence in this CW and immediately fell in love...i was by the way studying Hermes website because i also love the Garden Party tote...I am so happy to see your picture of the two together...I am thinking these will be my first Hermes purchase....for myself. so far i have only purchased silks as gifts...but now i think I am going to become an H collector.

do you find it hard to wear since it is large and square?

I am also a neutral (black, gray taupe) person...

it was so great to see your photos today.:smile1:

thank you again

Hi amq, I find the GM format the easiest to use simply because it's effortless to just throw on (in comparison to the 90 which I usually find it fussy trying to come up with the best way to tie). I don't always necessary open up the 140 but wear it folded sometimes like how I did in the first photo (folded and worn like a stole). The ways to wear are limitless, there are many pics on this forum). I adore the GP, so functional and under the radar. Hope you gift yourself with some silks/shawls and a GP very soon and do post back here!

I absolutely love this print and cw on you John. How chic are you!

Great jewel sharing everyone!

Possibly my brightest piece of silk and a big one at that yet somehow it works for me, a neutral lover. Pique Fleuri de Provence GM cashmere.

Ms P, I picked up the black cw in this print but love this one as well. There are so many beautiful shawls that I think I should get another print. But, your pics are totally tempting me to get this cw too. Have to uninstall tpf from my phone. Sigh.

Froufrou, you and Bibi are simply lovely. Bibi doesn't look 22 and your MetG is stunning in these rich jewel colors.

Thank you, Pegase and you are totally right.

Seton, what a beautiful detail!

Lanit, great scarf and the precious, meaningful jewelry!

Ms piggy, you make everything look so pretty. I have this in another color but adore yours much more.

John, are you thinking of an amethyst! Great scarf on you!

Hi Miss Piggy
I am really tempted for a GP...I am going to Florence end of the month and plan to visit the H store and do some serious self-gifting as I have just recovered from flu related pneumonia!

I promise to post my purchases when I return...Im dreaming of the GP in gold...so functional and for every season!

I think it will be gorgeous with the shawl too.

BTW - what does GM mean?

Thanks again:)

Hi Perfumegirl

I have been suffering trying to choose between the black and purple CW of this scarf! I am actually thinking of getting both as they are so beautiful and look quite different from one another.

I am going to start with purple since summer is coming! and maybe get black after...sigh

H makes so many gorgeous things.now that i have seen the light I may never buy anything else again.

I have been a devoted Faliero Sarti scarfy....until now....

I love the black Pique but sadly it doesn't love me back. The purple is such a happy yet harmonious bunch of colours!

Oh Maedi you're way too kind, I'm blushing! Which cw of the Pique do you have?

GM stands for Grand Modele literally meaning large model. In the cashmere/silk shawl case it refers to the 140 x 140cm size. Cashmere/silk also comes in the PM (Petit Modele = small model) size in 90 x 90cm.

Here's hoping you find a Gold GP in Florence which would make a lovely souvenir for the holiday memories of a beautiful city. Are you looking for the all-leather or canvas version for the GP?

Welcome to the "insanity love" of the Hermes silk world! Once you start, you can never stop!

Argh... I am so behind! Everyone's jewels look amazing. I must admit I had a hard time finding a scarf for this week's theme until I remember my Mars shawl! The armor has some gems inlaid.

GM stands for Grand modèle. When speaking of scarves, it's the 140cm.
(GM, MM and PM are L, M‚ S, but don't apply on clothes)
thank you Melora and Ms P!

Re GP tote...I am hoping for the all leather...i think it is really beautiful.

If i find it in florence i will definitely purchase...otherwise the NY H store...since i live close...

dangerous!

Thanks for all your notes today. I can't wait to post my purchases!

Hi Ms P
I think he all leather for me because i am sure I will be hard on the bag and canvas will show more wear faster...also i have not seen a gold GP with canvas...

I LOVE your taupe and black...that would be my second purchase -

sigh

this is looking more and more addictive
