The purple is gorgeous and I had a hard time retiring it to my boutique. I did it bc I was able to find a grail shawl in purple and felt at the time that it was duplicative to get the purple PF too. But maybe I will pursue this anyway. Ms P's pics are tempting so skip over them if you have budget constraints. Ha!
As for the black, I would say I fell in love with the beautiful border. It's also very versatile if you want to wear primary colors. It was my first Hermes shawl so I wanted to get as much wear out of it as possible. I've worn it in the winter with my black suits and dresses for work and it works well in a corporate environment.
