I'm blaming Lanit on this scarf and intended to bill her for the damage, haha. Welcome to the blue slope, Lanit! Please do stay and keep me company!

The blue shade is so gorgeous, I have a hard time believing that it's a dip dye! A blue with a pearly lavender sheen on it. The color is so gorgy that I decided to bypass my "horse nostril phobia" that I usually have with this design, LOL! And, the velvety feel is so lovely! It's a dip dye with a coloration of a twill!
Copied this knot straight from a scarf friend. Hopefully she will be twins with me on this colorway soon ;).
Looking formal with a LBR.

or casual with an ecru waffle sweater

Enabled anyone yet? scarf1 - my fellow blue scarfie where art thou?

I'm very happy with this new addition. Oh wait, I'm a blue sucker so this scarf should not be a surprising choice, ha!

Congrats on your new purchase, chestnutty! It's a gorgeous scarf, and I know exactly what you mean about horse nostrils!:D

What's really interesting is how very different it looks in the two different knots. It could almost be two entirely different scarves! I love that you can wear it dressy or casual.

I don't own a Dip Dye (yet). You may be on your way to enabling me!:graucho:

Oh no, my pun was very bad. Going from the French "ta" to the "tur" of turkey is really stretchy.
I've heard that making jokes or puns in a foreign language shows how comfortable you are (along with speaking with no accent ;) ), but poetry may be the real test. I've looked at haikus and limericks, and it's definitely too complicated for me!

Yes, I've seen MaiTai's new collection. It's as beautiful as it is expensive! I'd rather have a complete set of plastic rings in different colors than one lacquered, though. I would be afraid to choose the wrong color!

That is, in fact, my one worry about the lacquered rings, as compared to my rosewood ring, or my horn ring. Will the lacquer ring just look like plastic? And if it does, why would I want to spend so much money on something that looks like plastic?:confused1:

Would love to hear from someone on this thread who has purchased one of the lacquered rings. Do they look very special?

HNN - so glad that momasaurus gave you the push to post your outfit. We need to see you more here. :smile1:

So, seton was at Bottega minding her own biz when in walks some chick in a Brazil GM. Before she could decide if this is spypic worthy, she realized that the Brazil is a FAKE.

When the Fake Brazil had the gall to sit down next to her, seton had to get up and WALK AWAY.

It was all she could do not to punch that chick in the face! :cursing:

Seriously, seton? That actually happened to you?

You'd think by now the word would have gotten out: stay away from crazy lady with Hermès fetish!

Most of my scarves seem to fit into the Autumn spectrum.
Here's a very old design which came back from cleaning at H all spanking clean and new looking .I never wash an older scarf with reddish pigments cos they RUN
It came out of it's box for Ledoux week and I took a couple of pics , now it's gone back to 'rest'
Reprise by Ledoux
I adore your entire outfit, frou frou! Also, thank you for the information about not washing scarves with red in them... I never knew that! I've washed my blue CW scarves with no problem, but only have a couple with red. Fortunately, they've never needed washing.

And might I add: the combination of scarf and stripes is simply too cool for words!

I just hope it wasn't somebody that got snookered on evil-bay, proudly wearing what they thought was a genuine Hermes shawl.

Aww!!! Thank you guys for all the kind words!

Beautiful post bunny! You can play in the sandbox anytime. You're a beader? I used to be hardcore until silk took over my life!! Do you create, sell?? So OT but how exciting!!

sparklelisab- I been making glass beads (lampworking) for the last 14 years. which is why Sulfures is on my wish list.

I am so jelly bunny. This Colorway of Phaeton is one I have searched long and hard for. You know who to pm if you come across another, it looks fab on you!

lanit- I will make a note! I absolutely love scarf hunting and researching them.

This looks fabulous on you. I am totally going to steal your look. I just need your scarf ring.:D

Go for it Florasun! It's very very easy. You don't need the scarf ring to do it, but the ring does weight the front down just a little so it helps keep it from spinning. Fold on the bias, tie once in back then pass the ends back around. I make one end slightly longer so I can pass it under and (very important to keep it from spinning) tie the little knot so it is on bottom under the scarf).

Another Autumn scarf before the heavenly twins come forth

Les Coupés by De la Perrière 1970
Not the most subtle design but it's such a great orange .

Experimenting here with Arabesques'Chou chou two ways .

frou frou, I would say that you've got that knot down pat! It looks terrific on you... quite possibly, in part, because you have such a lovely long neck. It is a gorgeous orange color, and looks fab with your hair.

I havent purchased her laquered rings (yet) , but have 2 of the mother of pearl rings. like them because they are more white on one side, and more grey on the other side, so its like 2 rings in one.
The mother of pearl are of very nice quality.

Silkies, Don't get sick of me today--family away and I have everything out--wahooo!!

Here is my Pride of Tigers including my first piece from Hermes' "home-ware" section.
Those are amazing, sparkle... and the tiger cubs are too adorable for words! Makes me think of William Blake:

Tiger! Tiger! burning bright
In the forest of the night
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

(It goes on & on, but I don't remember the rest. Besides, this is a SCARF thread, not a POETRY thread!)
