Anfang, Orage/Framboise combo sounds heavenly and right up my alley! I guess it is faded Orage? :D Hope I get to see it in person soon. Meantime, here is a pic of the salmon cw CE I sneaked.

And H has to do the CenC dip dye in the 140 format too!
It IS faded Orage, ms piggy! This salmon cw looks good too! And yes, a zillion times yes, H please, CenC DD 140, pretty please! ;)

D Lee, this one is for you, courtesy France H.com : Les Clés bleu gris/bleu moyen, flat. Trust my colors, you know that the cws on H.com are not truthful :
Anfang, butting in here, this is so gorgeous. The very first scarf purchase I made at H was Les Cles. It was in a pastel blue. I also bought a pastel pink scarf at the same time, and I think it was Passamenterie. It was my very first trip to Paris, way way long ago..............

Unlike you, I didn't keep my scarves. I'd buy a couple of new ones every few years and donate the old.

This Cles version is calling my name.

Thank you my dear beekmanhill! Les Clés is a great classic design (as is Passementerie, I ) and I could not resist one second this DD blue! And maybe I should think to donate some, the orange boxes piles in my closet are overwhelming...:D

I see I misspelled Passementerie! No surprise there.

Anfang, my recollection is that most Hermes scarves were pastel way back when. In the US, there was no Hermes store. Bonwit Teller had a small Hermes counter right near the side entrance. ***** Tower is there now, alas. Bonwit was a great store.

Anyway I too love both designs. Keep all your scarves; I wish I owned mine just to look at now and then.

Anfang I bet you have an Orange mountain! I have a mental image of you clambering up to place a flag at the top, it may even be high enough to require oxygen? Am chuckling to myself now!

Hard to follow on Anfang and Ms Piggy's heels, but this scarf Au Ciel de la Mer has also been another workhorse surprise. This cw looks like 4 diff scarves depending in the corner shown. I can amp up he color or tone it down depending on my outfit and mood.

This DD looks so lovely on you. You gals are making me want a DD badly! I have yet to encounter one that makes my heart sing though. :search:

D Lee, I gotta give a big shout out to your city planners for having 7 H boutiques within 15 minutes of each other! Wow! You are in H heaven! I adore temptation. I think I must move to where you are so I can drive myself pleasantly nuts imagining, planning and plotting how to get all these H goodies.
I know Eagle. I would be BROKE if I lived where DLee is. I would have to move to another country to save my bank account!

Oh my dear, you know, these french words are so complicated and bizarre... I didn't even see you mispelled it, so you see! ;) And I agree, way back, it was hard to pick a bright scarf! And as I did not keep my boxes when younger, I use one of my large orange box to store the oldest ones, and I open it... for the needs of SOTD thread, go figure!

I do have a mountain, my dear...:weird: Tell me about putting them in a closet... :panic:

MYH, didn't you encounter so far one which takes your heart away? I cannot believe this! I fell hardly for each season, except mabe FW 2013... And back again with this Concours d'Etriers, oh my, I just cannot resist... Especially because I walk by George V every morning, let alone FSH, 10 minutes away from my office... A repeated pain for my wallet for so long time...

This De la Mer au Ciel is soooo appealing, MYH! I can see why this is your workhorse! If it had been issued in 140, I would have something like 3 or 4 now!

Here are a couple of ways "Galop Chromatique" works. (It has two distinct CWs in the same scarf)

JahnaClever, clever scarf this one . It must be so easy to wear .

SophieG
All my scarves are workhorses as my collection is still quite small. But here is the actual scarf I'm still wearing after my (long) day at work: Point d'Orgue. I bought this scarf to wear with black, but find myself wearing it more and brown with grey, olive green and brown.

Stunning on you , love this very rich reddish chestnut and the design ities beautifully.

A few of my workhorses. My most used scarf in cooler weather is my first GM - the pink Kelly en Caleche. It has a few runs and is piling but it is so easy to match and wear.
The others are 90 cm Fleurs Indiennes, ACSMC and Pegase.

Maedi Your collection is really blossoming, my breath was held for seconds gazing at the pink Kelly en C gmand then I saw the black and white CSMC fantastic .

sophieg, eagle1002us, do I need to tell you that made a good choice because Point d'orgue is the best design ever? ;)
Great design and you wear it beautifully.

Dear Scarfies - some of my workhorses turned out to be quite a surprise. This one in particular, MeM. I wasn't even sure I liked the brown color at first, but I find myself reaching for it when I want to wear a scarf but don't want to be "noticed" that day.

KWYM about some days feeling the need for low key scarves . Or rather some days I don't feel like living up to the glorious ones . However in it's discreet way M et M in chocolate is grand luxe and pretty glorious on you !

As for the CIEL /Mer what a truly exquisite scarf it is . I'm not drawn to wear 90 s at present but having seen this I may need to lay one in for when I start again.

Pretty on you, did you buy it ?

And here is another one, heavily, heavily worn, thanks to Pegase, my forever evil enabler. CSGM L'Imprimeur Fou Camails, naturel/rose indien/toundra :

The upside of having so many boutiques within a city is that u can get ANY cw of ANY design of a season. One of the 7 is sure to have your target. The downside is that weakwilled individuals like myself are more likely to end up in a bankruptcy hearing!:nuts:
