Very little in Manhattan apartments either.

I'm always boxing stuff up.
In the old days, people didn't own large numbers of a single item of clothing The number of bags and shoes a woman owned was so far less than today. You might own one "fall jacket" and one "spring jacket."
So I think for me buying two scarves at one time was quite an unusual experience. Of course the dollar was so strong then, prices in France were very low for an American, and I wasn't going to be in Paris all the time. No internet, no eBay, no resellers, nothing to do but buy multiples.
It is so hard to sell something you love. I have often tried and then can't do it. But don't let the kitties at the scarves until you've enjoyed them more.
