Thx Anfang for posting this! This is so stunning! Goes well with my jeans. I have sworn to myself I have to stop getting scarves as my collection is approaching 70 only 17/18 months since I started! But I still intend to get this one if it ever gets reissued in a 90. :p
Wow, 70 in 18 months?!? lucky you :) is it appropriate to congratulate on your well paid job? :graucho:

Melora - I vote you as the most clever scarfie when it comes to scarf rings on tPF.
Thanks! Actually, I found the idea somewhere here on a past scarf of the day thread. I am very lucky that my notions store had lots of choice (although they don’t anymore!)

DLee- here is the recipe for staying away from the h boutique:

Step 1 - move your house 3000 miles away due to a new job
Step 2 - move to a new town where you don't even know where to go for dry cleaning or a hair cut and get lost just going to your local grocery store
Step 3 - try to organize repairs on your old house from 3000 miles away
Step 4 - spend all day looking for a new house to purchase and making lists of all the remodeling that needs to be done to houses on your top 3 list
Step 5 - move to a town where the nearest H boutique is likely 1.5 hours each way in traffic

Voila! No scarf buying for 3 weeks!
Thx MYH for your advice. Sadly, my city is so small that there isn't 300 miles even if I have to cross the border. All 7 H boutiques are within 15" by car or public transport from each other. I can get to anyone of them within 15" by car as well! I think I really need to get a job to make myself occupied so I wouldn't think of H all the time!:smile1:

sophieg, eagle1002us, do I need to tell you that made a good choice because Point d'orgue is the best design ever? ;)

I think mine would qualify as a workhorse: I wore it everyday after Christmas till end of January. Then I washed it and thought it would be best not to wear the same scarf two days in a row. But it still is my favorite :)
I definitely need to prepare an Ode to it with pictures of real organs!
Very pretty scarf. I totally understand your wearing the same scarf for a whole month. I once bought a Chaumet watch & loved it so much that I wore it everyday for over a year!

DLee- you are doing great and exercising a great deal of self control given there are 7:nuts::nuts::nuts: boutiques within 15 min of you. So much temptation lurking around every corner! I know what you mean about leather goods...I'm starting to dream of them myself.

Thx Melora! My job paid me OK but I got a lump sum on retirement & began spending it on scarves! OMG!

Thx for your encouragement MYH! Now I have become restless. I saw your stunning Kelly. I want it as well. But I was still lucid enough to inform my SA I would like a Kelly next yr! Still want some funds for a few extra-stunning scarves if they turn up! OMG!

Dear Scarfies - some of my workhorses turned out to be quite a surprise. This one in particular, MeM. I wasn't even sure I liked the brown color at first, but I find myself reaching for it when I want to wear a scarf but don't want to be "noticed" that day.

After all of these sax-y comments, I am thinking about standing on Madison in front of the domestic Mothership tooting the axe with the case open next to me to collect funds for my escape from Ban Island. First, I gotta get the issue of bus fare to The City solved. They probably won't let me play in front of HPV in Dallas (sigh).

Pretty funny quip Hermesguy!

I love the taupe background on that scarf MYH.

Finally - the blips of the computer were a bit nutty this morning. I think it is the flickering power lines. Here we go - finally my Licorne shawl came in yesterday. The Dresden blue look of this shawl sings so well to my love of white and denim. So glad I waited for this design to come out in a 140 GM. It was a tough choice between the Leila and this one, but the unicorns won out. Here with AF's signature critter too.

AnFang - I can always count on your being my silk cheerleader; hopefully you will have seen all the colorways of the Licorne shawl! I am guessing a ton more must be on their way to the US soon as the season is rapidly flying by.

Spectacular
Wow!!! This is so beautiful on you
Well done !!

I bet you'd probably collect a lot, my dear hermesguy! :smile1:

I have been MIA but admiring all the posts nonetheless. I checked my credit card bill and I have not bought any H scarves for 3 weeks! I think this is the longest drought I have had for 2 years. No kidding. I think I will need to start buying off the website. I just can't get myself motivated to drive all the way to BH. I snapped a pic of a workhorse today but wanted to comment on all your lovely contributions first.

Seton - love the bolduc design! I can see why it is your workhorse. It looks like it would go with anything.

Oh my! You are looking so glamorous in your sunnies and this scarf. I love that your workhorse is a bright cw.

Ah! You kill me every time I see your petit duc. I skipped this design because I was on a 90cm break at the time. How do you wear your two together? Pray tell.
MYH, 3 weeks without any H! Tell me about rehab! :D For this Petit Duc I broke my no-90 rule. I firmly tie together one corner of each wigth a flat knot and thus, get a full length I arrange. Try this, my dear! ;) You'll tell me about!

You're very welcome, my dear D Lee! 70 in 17/18 monthes is quite a huge score! I'm smitten! :salute:

D Lee, I gotta give a big shout out to your city planners for having 7 H boutiques within 15 minutes of each other! Wow! You are in H heaven! I adore temptation. I think I must move to where you are so I can drive myself pleasantly nuts imagining, planning and plotting how to get all these H goodies.

That's MeM in this cw is a stunner, MYH!

For sure, ms piggy : the color names are Orage/Framboise. I must admit my first choice would have been CenC in this cw too, because of the large framboise Cinétique stripe. But Concours ties very well, and for me, the winner is and remains 140! ;)

Anfang, Orage/Framboise combo sounds heavenly and right up my alley! I guess it is faded Orage? :D Hope I get to see it in person soon. Meantime, here is a pic of the salmon cw CE I sneaked.

And H has to do the CenC dip dye in the 140 format too!
