Interesting rule, kittyvoo. What are your exceptions? Other than a few geometrics and equestrian tack designs most of mine would probably fall into the natural world category too. Must go check later on.

Agreeing with you about these graceful birds from Tendresse Feline. They're almost more appealing than the felines in this pattern. :smile1:

Pierina it was an interesting journey. When I started out with scarves I thought I just loved everything and then it dawned on me that what I appreciated most was the way that the art of Hermes developed my own understanding of the natural world.

The exceptions are mostly graphics - for example an En Voyage with beautiful violets, A Marcelina with blue and orange. Tous les Bateaux in the cream and bordeaux didn't really fit the 'natural world' requirement which is why it took me a full year of salivating to eventually buy it. In general I am happy to make an exception for classical themes so Musique des Dieux fitted in OK despite the lack of fur and feathers.

The exception to all rules is one I think you will understand - that peachy KO shawl that you have modelled so beautifully - Danses des Indiennes (title?). I think I can make more exceptions for KO...

Silkies, some of you know these pics but I want to show again as there are so many new Silkies who haven't seen them. Orangeaddiction, this is for you and your Plisse Beaties. This is Puff, my hedgehog in a Plisse. He loves it so!
OMG - adorable. My kids would be over the moon - they've asked me for a pet hedgehog!!!

Okay Tanker Toad, this is it for today! Silkies, you all know I love Axis Mundi and some of you may remember two girls born last year, Birkin and Kelly. Well, Kelly girl crawled under a tractor three days ago to give birth and the boys and DH in the house thought things would be fine. Well, they have never given birth and I knew she needed my comfort. So I kinda crawled under as best I could and soon, the first baby was entering the world sideways. Not good. I have never been a midwife, but I have watched lots of YouTube videos on the subject and believed I knew what to do. Tada! Number one girl delivered. And then number two! I loved every second and here they are--a boy and girl twenty minutes after birth and then, one hour later, they were hopping and exploring. Goats are amazing. On silk, under tractors, in arms.
Adorable! Congrats to the new mama!

Sending many congrats, sparkle! So glad you were there to help! Thanks for sharing your little bundles of joy with us, they are adorable!

Adorable kids- are they Nubians? Bravo on the midwifery :smile1: Skunk is too precious! He looks so relaxed and content.

The critters are such fun.
Pierina, what incredible shots of the Legends and the Lalbhai.

Today I am featuring my L'Atlantide. Didn't realize it was Annie F, and I have not found the monkey yet. So I'll show a couple of the other creatures.

Thanks, beekmanhill, and what great detail in your L'Atlantide! Have you found the monkey? It could just be his head or his face showing, as in Melora's Rencontre.

For critters and still on yellow kick...Lalbhai ss in Klein Blue/Jaune, pico with Petit H yellow terrier, and pup's first day in garden when we brought him home.:doggie:

How terribly cute your new puppy is, lanit! This must be the ultimate critter pic for theme week. So adorable!

I'm not much of a "critter" person but this scarf does have some....

And very nice ones they are, TT. :smile1:

Wearing this ACdlV for the first time today!

What glorious blues, scarf1! And many thanks for your kind comments on my blues. Kindred spirits.

Such a little beauty. I don't know why but I feel like his eyes express all the sadness of the world. Though I am sure this little baby has all the love and care of the family.
And the twilly is definitely in a right place:-)

Thank you Vita, he is very much loved! He just hates wearing the Twilly and hates having his picture taken. And I woke him up to do both. So he was giving me the sad doggie eyes.

So pretty, pierina, and what a thoughtful gift from your sister. Love seeing the details!

So much yum in one photo, all gorgeous, pierina! Your turquoise Evelyne certainly has settled in happily. Love your glasses, too, and of course your Lalbhai mousseline  is still the cat's meow! :catlick: Many thanks for posting!

Thank you, thank you dear etoile. :hugs:

pierina2...I never seen Les Legendes....what a beautiful scarf...and the colors are your colors! I'm sure you wear it well. As for your pup, very well behaved for having to pose in a Twilly! I'm going to give this a try with my two and we'll see how it goes!Regards!
Loving the critter theme week also....I'm posting some pix using plisses - especially for Madame Bijoux! It's often hard to see the design on these but I'm fond of them anyway!
The first is Per Astra ad Astra (Rouge Vif/Vert Vif).

So kind of you, Orange Addiction. As I mentioned to Vita, Elliott had been sound asleep in his bed when I wrapped the Twilly around him - so he was a captive subject! :smile1: Any luck with your dogs? Love this beautiful plisse, the delicacy of the pattern seems enhanced by the pleating.

Oh pierina, your doggie is so cute with his twilly!:smile1: But is he under stress? His hindleg seems to have less hair than his body. Pls don't wait until he losses hair like THIS critter. This cat is bullied 24/7 by another cat in a shoebox apt & reacts by pulling out her hair.

Oh, your poor kitty! No, he hasn't lost any hair at all, no stress, he's just twisted a bit so the inner part of his back leg is showing and he naturally has less hair there. Thanks for your concern though. :smile1:

Din Tini is full of critters! This half, animal critters; the other half human critters! So are the Otomi textiles that provide the inspiration. Great posts everyone! Thanks for luring me out of the work cave!

Superb pictures, 94107, this scarf is so appealing. Especially in these lively colors. I think that Ladybaga has a Din Tini too? Thanks for posting!

The olive color against those rich blues is smashing! And your darling doggie!

Maedi, thank you. As always. :smile1:

Nico, orangeAddiction, etoile - thank you for the compliments! Pup upstages H at even the boutique where he is quite popular. He enjoys prancing around the store visiting the various SA's and customers. I will need to find a twilly for him a la Pierina's beautiful pup. BTW Pierina - he does not look sad to me - just very cozy and gazing deeply at his stylish owner:)

After seeing Chestnut's beautiful PF pochette I snapped this one up as soon as I spied it in the men's silk case. I appreciate this little size a bit more for the details the smaller format becomes quite frameable too. Tied in the rosette form....enjoying the turning to spring for all the bird lovers on our thread here.

Love these birds, lanit, what a fun little scarf. My little dog isn't sad at all, just not a fan of having his picture taken when he'd rather be sleeping. I take him to the H store sometimes too, and he scampers all over the place, wearing an orange collar and leash. And his orange sweater is it's chilly enough. ;)

Hi ladies, I have just started to collect Hermes scarves and have been lurking on this thread. With the encouragement of D. Lee I thought I would post my first scarf that fits the theme for the week.
I also wonder if this would really fit the "critter" theme but when I saw that jyyanks has posted it in one cw I thought I would add another cw. It is the third scarf I bought but by far my favorite.
I am so glad to be joining this thread.! It makes me feel like I am on my way to developing a well rounded collection.

So happy to see you posting, stylemechanel! And with such a pretty scarf. :woohoo:

And I had to show you Skunk, who loves when I get out my scarves to examine which ones need to go to cleaners. I went outside for a moment, and almost left them unprotected, but the last second, I thought to throw the white towel over the silk. Good thing as Skunk wanted right on top of the pile. He has such good taste!

He certainly does have great taste, sparkle, as does your little cutie-pie hedgehog Puff. Good thing you watched those videos and were all prepared to help out your mommy goat!! This is why woman should run the world....

Thank you for your kind comments about my Chasse :)

Does this count as a critter?

Definitely yes, jyyanks, the more horses the merrier. Horses and flowers? Perfection!

OMG so much is happening here.

First, thanks Pegase, for your well wishes; I am just fine now...and I hope, immune for a while (from the Norovirus). I HAVE NOT, however, been immunized against TAXES, and I ...just...finished...

After I see my accountant tomorrow I am finally going to indulge myself and wallow in critters. Rest assured, all of you, that you have been my fun breaks between paperwork. Some awesome scarves here...

And Sparkle, you don't need to show us scarves, you have the real critters! Good on ya that you helped Mom goat with her babies. Ok time for dinner, sleep, then tomorrow I am going to relax. I am sure I will have some more lovely scarves to look at!!

Speaking of critters, I watch "Morning Joe" in the AM, and Mika brought Joe's kitten in to the show in her Birkin; that's my kind of woman!

Yes, KO strikes me as being deeply aware of and appreciative of the natural world. His scarves have been favorites for decades. I'd have imagined that all the orchids and foliage on the borders of Bateaux would have qualified? Or perhaps only in my landscape oriented way. :smile1: And that is such a spectacular colorway, the bordeaux border is stunning. It's interesting to think about which scarves or shawls we love long term, and why. Thanks for the discussion. :smile1:
