For Julia Abadie--here is my colorway of Triomphe du Paladin. I love the theme of this--St. George slaying the dragon--and all the medieval imagery. I also really like the periwinkle center field and border, but they are hard to get to show in a lot of ties.
So so so lovely, rosamonde! One of the SAs in San Francisco was wearing this recently, in this same CW I'm pretty sure. It really stood out from the modern designs everywhere else in the boutique! #brushupyourchivalry

Wow!!!! I really love this scarf. I never noticed it before - now I'm adding to my list. Gorgeous and it looks perfect on you!

Thanks, momasaurus. I admit to having a soft spot for the historically themed scarves! Is there a scarf "genre" that you find yourself drawn to?

Oh, that's my favorite thing--to see an older scarf for the first time and realize that it's wonderful and I must have it. So pleased to have been the one to bring this Paladin to your attention. :balloon:

My contribution Julie Abadie this week will surely count as my Brins dOr overload [not again !]

It's still my most useful shawl and was a real E*** steal as it has a few tiny holes which bother me not a whit. A Winter picture from archives of my most worn item , ever!

And then here's my least , well never, worn mousseline stole Eperons d'Or Love love the way the design looks in this format, and find the thing dreamy but I'm just so not a chiffon girl [ despite being Frou frou ]

It lies in wait for the right occasion .

Hello, frou frou! I love your Brins d'or and the way y tie it.You look beautiful!

Hello cherryblossum, and thanks for the suggestion! Here is what the Paladin looks like on the bias. As you can see, the amount of periwinkle purple left is not much--it is mostly khaki-gold and dusty mauve that shows. Once you put the scarf around your throat, the purple part is hardly visible--it kind of disappears behind the neck. :( And since the purple is my favorite part, it's a little disappointing, because a lot of my favorite ties are based on the bias fold. I'd rather have more purple near the face and the khaki farther away from it! It would be more flattering on me...

There is a blue CW of this scarf that I hope to find someday...maybe I will like that one better in ALL ties!

How about turning the knot back and hiding it behind your throat? Then the purple part you like apears?!?! You can wear it like a choker necklace...
Your previous pics are beautiful,anyway.

Oh I love it, it's gorgeous! I love the 4 outside circles!

To show the periwinckle, I'd advise a cowboy knot, or a necklace. Practical examples highlighting the yellow in Mythologies des hommes rouges. (sorry the outfit doesn't match) (and I need to clean the mirror!)

2/ with my H&M set of rings

You look stunning in this Eperon, I think you're chiffon girl after all! ;)

This is fabulous, rosamonde! Especially fitting with your manuscript style avatar.

Since it's Henry D' Origny week, here are my 2 contributions:

1) Eperon D' Or GM in lavender/orange/noir
2) Cheval Fleuri 90

I second frou frou's comments about this lovely combination on you. These are my favorite colors together and DS did a great job as little cameraman!

Today sharing Calvacador for Mr. Origny.

jyyanks, lanit, frou frou, rosamonde and Melora thank you for sharing your beautiful scarves and GM's. I can't contribute this week, I'm sorry I can't post pictures from my iPhone, the cloud is totally mysterious for me

Wow, I have been away from this thread for quite a few days with house guests…so many beautiful scarves and wonderful posts to catch up on. My apologies in advance for simply thanking all of you who have posted pictures of, and stories about your scarves this week. I have seen many that I did not know existed and am intrigued by quite a few! (Especially your Triomphe du Paladin rosamonde):smile1:

My small contribution to this weeks theme:

Festival des Amazones tied in a flower knot
Cavalcadour in a cowboy knot

Thanks for the ideas, cherryblossum and Melora! I will get the scarf out again and play with it some more. :p

Birkinmary, we will miss your gorgeous photos this week! I hope you are off traveling someplace nice.

Bova, lovely silks in lovely ties! Those brights look great on you.

What an amazing colour for cavalcadour! May I ask if your Festival des Amazones is 90cm or 70cm?
