Beautiful mind boggling antique, reissue and new issue silks on display this week, Jahna, Bkm, Melora, Markova, Sparkle, S'Mom. Carrelover...I only got to see a couple of pages and now have to scroll back more!

My 'Oldest' design JdO from the archives. and to wish all our favorite silkies, their moms and grandmoms a Happy Mother's Day weekend. I still get a laugh over sparkle's clucking hens over their silk stash analogy

And wanting to share my Mothers Day silk, a great pastel for theme week, my second 140 DD, and Concours shawl! I think I am twin with BBC on this one.

Lanit, your DD is beautiful, and springy, and... wow.
It's so much better than those dark DDs (in my humble opinion)

I was told by an SA a while ago that Omnibus was the first scarf design of H. Is this true? The warm color is beautiful lanit, I only recall seeing it as a re-issue in bubblegum pink, and a white.

Oh my darling Pinky Sister, lover of Chartreuse and Muddy Colors---if you followed the new Scarf Mistress' oh-so-informative weekly debuts of the theme, you would know this. Tis True tis True!!

Thanks eagle, I was told the same thing about JdO, glad sparkle confirmed it. This is the 70 cm that was an anniversary edition, and seton or chestnut would likely be able to date it. I also have the b/white with a touch of red in it. I enjoy these two 7o cms quite a bit, and I receive compliments on it when I do wear them. Both were found on the Bay a few years following their release, Nd I do see them pop up from time to time in excellent condition!

By Scarf of the Day standards, this is not very old, but it is my oldest H scarf:
Flies, by Cathy Latham, 1988. I still wear this one, the colours suit my wardrobe and sporty style. It is nice to see some posts from members who have been silent for a while!

Victoriab, I wore the Flies HS in the cw that you have with a Donegal tweed jacket. I have really quite missed it--unfortunately, I let it go--but am pleased to see it once again.

The 70 cm scarves were first issued in 2007 and this was one of the first designs along with Pani and others. Very fitting to have Omnibus debut the 70 cm scarves.

May I wish all Mothers a Happy Mothers Day. Whether we have given birth or not, adapted, fostered, or loved and taken care of another, in many ways, we all mother. To celebrate the true meaning of the word, I rely on mothers in nature:
For Jahnna. For Ladybaga. And for all of us...

Pastels-- either love them or hate them. .

If dressing “age appropriate” is important to you, pastels can be a challenge. Head to Toe Pastel--probably now. But one piece of pastel with a neutral top or bottom? Rock Star. Eggshell Yellow and Camel? White and Peach? Grey and Pink? Glorious!!
