I'm heading to the ballpark again today, this time with my red Tigre Royal Fleuri. Since the home team won last time I wore this scarf design, I decided to wear it again. This time the opponents are not the Tigers, so my Tigre is allowed to peek out to watch a bit of the game.

Dear Scarfies, I’m so excited to be on holidays starting today I’ll catch up here as much as I can.
At the airport with Zabavushka today and yesterday w Pony Pit Stop double side, which was part of my new scarf mail. 🤣🙌
I was worried it’d be too pale for me but it isn’t and I love it.

Looking forward to catching up here as soon as I get enough sleep😊and manage to avoid jet lag. I bought some melatonin and it usually helps.

A. Your wonderful collage does great honor to your beautiful collection @Lellabelle. I admire your very creative ties so we can see the actual animals! Eager to see what is in the gift vault for you and anticipating more wonderful mod shots... Like @HermesEchidna, you need to plug that Christine Henry hole-- I curate quite carefully on her designs because there are a lot of florals that seem quite similar (always excepting that amazing Giverny of hers!), but I do love her amazing sense of design and whimsey in pieces like Nuees Imaginaires, the composition of Arbre de la Vie, the lovely Fleurs et Papillons based on tapestries and her folkloric (and iconic) Peuple du Vent. This season H has released her GT Plantes Oficinales which reminds me a bit of the leaves of Arbre de la Vie. Happy hunting!
B. I too spent a long long time finding the right Tourbillons. I knew I wanted the black as soon as I saw the brilliant maple leaves on the one @Nomad has. There are quite a few autumnal ones without the red. In fact I have a small blue gav that fits that description! I always worry with a black base that the design elements look a bit too "decoupage" or slapped on, but this Tourbillons is seamless and quite luminous...
C. Thank you for the Planifleurs comment-- a total impulse buy in store after I could not get it out of my head from the enablement here!

This is the most beautiful Pivoines-- I love pink peonies and the basket background adds that special graphic element to the lovely florals. You have sich a great eye for interesting vintage cws, @Nomad....there are so many you have put on my Wish List...

I know well the problem of changing light-- here for me by the ocean it is often a question of weather and time of day. Both can hugely affect what happens in my favorite "selfie window"!!! Most of the time I can get a light that is fairly true but early morning, bright mid day and cloud cover will all change the look of my scarf colors. I was your twin on Feux d'Hiver and on that great cw of Premiere Chant but both were let go as gifts to lovely friends...Nice to see them here @HermesEchidna!

The home team won yesterday's baseball game, so my plan to hide the opponent's tiger mascot on my Tigre Royal Fleuri apparently worked. Meanwhile, little GS looked up from playing his tablet at the game just long enough for me to snap this picture.

Christiane Vauzelles designed dozens of scarves for Hermès from the 1960’s into the 1990’s yet rarely signed her name.

Her style was equally elusive; ranging anywhere from bold flowers to historical objects to food- all beautifully executed.

Good evening! I just went through the ancient registration tome of the collection and concluded I do not have a C.Henry to contribute. A matter which should be fixed!!

But there are a couple of Vauzelles - but why are they almost all a little bit pale? 🤔

Well. My second ever Hermes was one I found in my mothers belongings after she passed away. An adorable, light pink and peach and very feminine Fleur de lotus. I do not think I can ever do it justice, but it eventually send me down the orange box road.

In my small collection, Christiane Vauzelles means Tigre Royal. 😁 I consider my first TR, the green one, as one of my most elegant scarves. I agree with you on all points on Christine Henry @LKBNOLA. Giverny is unique and gorgeous in its structure and theme and I am fine not chasing other florals from her. The use of the adjectives "folkloric and iconic" reminded me that I needed a Peuple du vent back in my life. I let go (without any regrets) of my blue CSGM, it was just too much for me, too overwhelming and I have other more desirable blues in my shawl collection. I need a different format and a more subdued cw to tame the busy pattern. I think I know exactly which one...À suivre...
