Thank you for all these very lovely comments @Lellabelle.Beautiful! I particularly appreciate the Tulipomanie on the jade green - such a striking and polished pairing.
Beautiful, dear ‘Nola! You've worked some similar magic to Cookie, and managed to hide all the less interesting bits of Cheval Sirene. This is a great knot for it.
The new Tyger is lovely on you. I actually think the CW you’ve chosen may be the prettiest of all the new releases.
Ah, the pointu. One will be mine, one day.
Thanks for the sweet pic of the littles, too! Proof indeed that a well-dressed princess is ready for anything! The little fellow is so sweet, too. Hugs to you all.
Thank you @darkstar66-- they are the sweet ages where every moment is a "photo op" as they say...That snapshot is incredible.🤣
❤️❤️ So stinkin’ cute!
I *need* some Unicorn hair (fake or knot!)… and a crown certainly wouldn’t hurt my feelings either…![]()
Very beautiful pattern-mixing @FA73!Happy Monday!
I won't have much to contribute this week but I am looking forward to seeing everyone's treasures, particularly Christiane Vauzelles, a designer I do not know much about.
As for Christine Henry, a few scarves came and went in my collection and I've only kept one, which I love and wear quite often, particularly in the summer, Fleurs de Giverny. Another pattern on pattern day.

That's a great shot to have captured @Redbirdhermes! And wow what a pretty moussie with that chemise-like background...The home team won yesterday's baseball game, so my plan to hide the opponent's tiger mascot on my Tigre Royal Fleuri apparently worked. Meanwhile, little GS looked up from playing his tablet at the game just long enough for me to snap this picture.

Today's scarf of the day is Les Leopards mousseline.

What?!!! Not a Peuple du Vent, or a Nuees Imaginaires or an Arbre de Vie? You gotta get to work, girl! I like both your Lotus very much @HermesEchidna -- the one for the personal history and the other for the happy colors... (and thank you for the comment on my small scarfie!)Good evening! I just went through the ancient registration tome of the collection and concluded I do not have a C.Henry to contribute. A matter which should be fixed!!
But there are a couple of Vauzelles - but why are they almost all a little bit pale? 🤔
Well. My second ever Hermes was one I found in my mothers belongings after she passed away. An adorable, light pink and peach and very feminine Fleur de lotus. I do not think I can ever do it justice, but it eventually send me down the orange box road.

I also this winter got a very pre’loved’ version in green and red just because it was such holiday’ish cw perfect for the season.

Wish you a calm evening!
Christiane Vauzelles designed dozens of scarves for Hermès from the 1960’s into the 1990’s yet rarely signed her name.
Her style was equally elusive; ranging anywhere from bold flowers to historical objects to food- all beautifully executed.
Today I’m wearing her striking Rosarie

I love both Vauzelles you have shown us @turfnsurf -- and they prove your point about her thematic variety, too! I think this week may result in me adding more to my collection... and thank you for the lovely comments. When did signatures become the norm on H designs?A horse! A horse!
My kingdom for a horse!

Today is a scorcher, so I dressed up a basic cami’ with Vauzelles’ (very loosely tied) Carrousel to showcase the charming center character.
Stay cool my lovlies!

Beautiful pieces LKBNOLA, and I especially love the soft and soothing fall colours of the Orphee. It almost makes me wanting for autumn 😍
Your grandchildren are so adorable. So cute in grandmothers shawls too. My youngest daughter loves to dress up in my shawls too. She makes dresses and capes from them.
Thank you @Maedi. And thank you also @redheaddem. I think it is lovely that our children (and grandchildren) create a sensory and imaginative memory of our scarves and shawls. I have cherished memories of my grandmother's hats and gloves, which she occasionally allowed us to use for dress up also.Fabulous in these cool hues. Have fun with the sweet mini menace.
Wow you look great in this cw @darkstar66-- please tell me some of these are archive shots and not all options for your SOTD! I adore the last two looks in particular!Hello and good morning,
In my small collection, Christiane Vauzelles means Tigre Royal. 😁 I consider my first TR, the green one, as one of my most elegant scarves. By choosing the subtle (B side) or jewel coloured (A side) sparkles, you can tie it quite differently and produce different effects.View attachment 6216602View attachment 6216603View attachment 6216604View attachment 6216605
I dressed up for a two-hour work meeting that got canceled. Should I pretend to be sad? 😂 I realized that the colors of my bracelet went pretty well with the colors of my scarf.View attachment 6216407View attachment 6216408
You looked great for the meeting-that-wasn't but as far as I am concerned, cancelled work obligations are gift-wrapped moments conferred upon us by the Small Gods of Time and are to be used to their fullest for other activities....say, scarf play...And your garden photos always add luster to any floral scarf @Teaforparrots!It’s overcast at the moment so I was finally able to capture some glare-free photos of the tangle of four o’clocks and morning glories on my side of the driveway and the ageratum, tithonia, African marigolds, castor bean plant, morning glories, scarlet runner beans etc. that my neighbor let me plant on his side 😆 I thought this scarf would coordinate nicely!

Good morning all! Sharing some perfectly on theme scarf mail (thank you to @Nomad for the inspiration and enablement) that I have been searching for a long time. I am not wearing this today but I cannot wait to wear it during New England's Leaf Peeping Season when the trees turn brilliant colors!

Seconding this - all hail queen Cookie!@Cookiefiend-- you are definitely deserving of a crown!
Tourbillons is so special. It reminds me of the beautiful song by Jeanne Moreau from the cherished movie Jules et Jim with Oskar Werner. I just learned that Angèle does a cover.Good morning all! Love the colours on this one. The peonies are perfect in pink!I have three Christine Vauzelles and this flower design I think is spectacular. Pivoines. Mine has the basket in background. I think it would be easy to have multiples of this design.

Especially love the Tiger tied with its beautiful face showing.Mostly from archives, as today’s SOTD is a non-H bandana. Catching up with last week’s theme as well; here’s my contributions for Annie, Alice and Aline, and for Christiane and Christine. Alice is most well-represented of these in my collection.

The only Annie Faivre I have is in the gift vault, so not pictured here, and I think my only Christiane V are Tigre Royale (I have three, and want the fleuri and the pointu). I don’t think I have any Christine Henry.
So many beautiful designs featured this last couple of weeks. Thank you all for the inspiration!
Lovely scarf and tie and a good start for your DD.Sending our girl back to college on Thursday so wearing her university colors today. Sulfures Mousseline 140
Wow this is so beautiful in a Mousseline! Love the loose neck tie and may the back go school go well. The only orange school that I can think of which I know isn’t this one is Syracuse, because I think Syracuse is Orange and white??Sending our girl back to college on Thursday so wearing her university colors today. Interesting how your Vauzelles are all light. The tiger in first pic is wow so detailed. And didn’t realize she did feux. That’s a really fun winter design. And chants is so much fun and colorfulGood morning!
There are so many stunning Tigre Royals in here! It is a design that has almost eluded me.
I have this tiny triangle - it is adorable, but a bit pale, and if I wear it any other way than this drape, the tiger hides.
View attachment 6216928
It does the same in carre en carre, where, in my version at least, there are no visible tiger, but only the fronds are in the patchwork
View attachment 6216929
Another Vauzelles which I, as my green Lotus, only use in winter time is this snow crystal design Feux de l’hiver

And sticking with the neutral golden oldies, this is my last Vauzelles Cheval Turc

Sorry about the bad light - as the season changes I need to find the right spots in the home for photos - I have not done so yet apparently.
My sotd is an entirely different one - La premiere chant - to get me through a day packed with more or less relevant meetings…

Wish you a wonderful wednesday!
Thank you! I was very happy to find this bright one and as a CSPM even more. Blue and green go perfectly together.
Thank you and yes, it is so lumninous and i love that i can wear it even in summer because it is so light
Thank you 😊
Thank you for hosting this week and for your lovely comment. Can’t do anything wrong with blue and green in my book 😊
Thank you on both accounts redheaddem - I wear a lot of my scarfs to work
The tie on Col Vert is like the twisted Bova Knot but the ends tied together in the back instead of to the sides. You take the bias fold, put it behind your neck with the ends to the front, twist the scarf around each other in the front and bring it to the back again.
Hope this was helpful.![]()
