Christiane Vauzelles designed dozens of scarves for Hermès from the 1960’s into the 1990’s yet rarely signed her name.

Good evening! I just went through the ancient registration tome of the collection and concluded I do not have a C.Henry to contribute. A matter which should be fixed!!
But there are a couple of Vauzelles - but why are they almost all a little bit pale? 🤔
Well. My second ever Hermes was one I found in my mothers belongings after she passed away. An adorable, light pink and peach and very feminine Fleur de lotus. I do not think I can ever do it justice, but it eventually send me down the orange box road.
I also this winter got a very pre’loved’ version in green and red just because it was such holiday’ish cw perfect for the season.

Hahaha you are too funnyIf you can believe it, the day the tyger 70 colors were known to us in June, I found the CSGM that day. It was so odd to not have to hunt for one for forever.
I decided on paddock last week. This Japanese seller was so fast. So fast that I went back on the buy another from them since I knew I’d get it before the 29th but they put store on vacation ha. Maybe the universe is telling me no more 90’s either
@Maedi, in the US we were able to purchase an item below $800 value internationally, like from Europe and Japan I know (not sure if all countries), and not have to pay a duty tax. It was our personal purchase shipping exemption. If we bought a more expensive item like a CSGM from Europe then we would have to pay a tax on it. To me the duty is so high that it’s not worth purchasing the item at all imo.
Example- in early summer, I purchased some leather from England when the store had a sale. I made sure I was under $800. But sadly the company put the original price on the duty shipping form and I received a duty bill that was hundreds of dollars. I planned to deny the delivery and the items would have been shipped back to company. But the company ended up paying the duty for me which I thought was incredibly good customer service.
On the 29th of this month that personal purchase exemption is going away 😥. So any purchase we make will have a bill attached now. Which for me means no more eBay scarf shopping 😆 . Making my paddock all the more special haha.
I am so sorry about the end of this exemption. We are in the same boat in the EU. Duties are so high it is not worth buying from outside the EU… it really limits possibilities…

Two scarf day, this evening Au Fil du Carré and earlier at my walk, Retour a la Nature helped against the sun and the wind.

And true some of them have certainly been washed - others are just from an age where tan, peach and light pink were in fashion - I tend to prefer other shades but also cant resist these 🫣
