Thank you to @HermesEchidna for Guest Hosting our week of Clever Hands. I'm finishing the week with Costume de Fete as my scarf of the day. This design not only celebrates intricate hand-work, but is also a nod to our theme next week of fancy borders.

Absolutely beautiful with your blue sweater dear @Redbirdhermes! Sister with you and it is one of my most favorite scarves! 😍

I have not been present last year because of a lot of health issues. But you all made everything better by showing your beautiful photos 😍 Now after having had my second cataract surgery I am ready to join again! So from now on without glasses and feeling better day by day 😊
My scarf of yesterday is L‘ Art du Temari already shown by my scarf sister @AnnaE! I added this CW some weeks ago to my black and yellow one 😉View attachment 6118594
I have missed you and you look beautiful in this scarf.

I don’t know that they were crafting anything, but these leopards paws (hands) appear to be quite busy making a mess! Douze Léopards today.

They have a lot of craft-y items in those bookcases @Jereni! As my artist friends remind me, being creative is a messy business... ;)
Clair de lune marine vieux rose 💕

This is such a beuaitufl cw @step2005!!!
Premier Chant reminds me of appliqué on fabric. I no longer have this strong blue/brown colorway but I will show a photo anyway plus one of the cw I still have.

Both are beautiful-- the lilac is very luminous in color @Karenska!
Scarf mail, entirely influenced by this thread! I passed on En Liberte when it came out because I wasn’t following new releases as closely and just skimmed past when I saw all of the dogs. Since returning to this thread, it feels like this design is posted on at least a weekly basis and every colorway is so beautiful. I settled on this one as my favorite and it recently popped up for resale in great condition. Thanks to everyone for the enablement, very happy with my new addition!

Congratulations! This is a great find-- a wonderful design and this cw looks wonderful on you @PoliticalGal. You look lovely in pinks and reds (and all the other pretty colors in this cw)!

I am so happy to see you back in Scarflandia @Katharina Luise -- I have missed your posts and oyur smile and your wonderful styling with your fabulous hand sewn pieces and beautiful jewelry. Very glad to hear that you are feeling better and that the cataract surgery was a success. I had mine done in stages a few years ago and am so happy with the results, too. Now we can really appreciate the beautiful colors in our scarves! Your Temari is gorgeous.
Good morning!
Well that week passed fast! This last day of the Clever hands theme just have some examples of other handcrafted things, that I did not get to share during the week!

And the lovely Japanese temari balls - I have never seen a real one - on Art du temari which many of you have showcased this week (oh I am sereously considering hunting down that Black cw …🤩)

Thank you all for sharing your great examples on lovely silks this week. I apologize for not having been able to reply and praise during the week.

Lastet Let us put a bow on it - the King of bows, ribbons, straps and bolducs is Joachim Metz who have used this motive on at least four designs all relating to straps and reins of horses

Les Sangles by Joachim Metz - which I do not own, so this is just a screenshot from the interwebs

Same goes for Sangles en Finesse

But same band motive is found on
Les rubans du Cheval also by Joachim Metz

And on his Les sangles de Phoebus

So here is a Blue ribbon to all of you for playing along and being clever handed this week.

Wish you all a very wonderful weekend!!
A great closing parade @HermesEchidna and thank you again for taking on hostessing duties!
Another one of my hand knits this morning, paired with jewelry from the desert, Parures des Sables. Thank you so much, @HermesEchidna for this wonderful week which had me remember some of my "handcrafted projects", finished or waiting to be finished, one of them in standby mode for more than one year now! 🤨View attachment 6118609View attachment 6118610View attachment 6118611

Attelage en Arbalète has beautiful reins.
We are twins and sisters on a few of these and thank you for inspiring me to add that lovely new Attelage en Arbalete @Maedi! The last is that adorable gavroche, right? You look beautiful in all these colors, which are so different!

So happy to be twins and sisters on some of these and thank you for your kind words. Yes, the last one is Mlle soie. I once had two but cannot locate the other one.

Thank you to @HermesEchidna for leading us through what turned out to be a very comprehensive week! So interesting and informative and all the more impressive for hosting-while-traveling! :flowers: 🧡 🙏 A round of applause!

I missed the jewelry connection, so before we depart the last stop on this Theme Station, here are two scarfs that feature jewelry:
Parures de Maharajah 90 and Kelly en Perles, 140 wash silk
Parures de Maharajas .jpgKelly en Perles.jpg
And I didn't think my SOTD was on theme but it turns out that La Vie du Fleuve is full of handcrafted items, like baskets and pottery, canoes, rafts and so on. We are preparing for a cold snap and snowstorm so a quick mod shot on he fly!
