Hello @Maedi, I'm also fond of Edelweiss, I even drink it! So, wearing this scarf while savouring the tea and making a selfie of it would make it... a scarf on drink (vs on site)?🤣Inspired by @Jacq1 , I searched for this scarf, Fleurs de montagne . Off topic but flowers from the mountains were around me as I grew up and another homage to my relatives who were mountain climbers and aficionados. The Edelweiss is so precious.

Thank you dear @orchard! Happy to be back 🥰Happy to see youand to hear you're feeling better day by day.
Thank you twin! They have a lot of craft-y items in those bookcases @Jereni! As my artist friends remind me, being creative is a messy business...
This is such a beuaitufl cw @step2005!!!
Both are beautiful-- the lilac is very luminous in color @Karenska!
Congratulations! This is a great find-- a wonderful design and this cw looks wonderful on you @PoliticalGal. You look lovely in pinks and reds (and all the other pretty colors in this cw)!
I am so happy to see you back in Scarflandia @Katharina Luise -- I have missed your posts and oyur smile and your wonderful styling with your fabulous hand sewn pieces and beautiful jewelry. Very glad to hear that you are feeling better and that the cataract surgery was a success. I had mine done in stages a few years ago and am so happy with the results, too. Now we can really appreciate the beautiful colors in our scarves! Your Temari is gorgeous.
A great closing parade @HermesEchidna and thank you again for taking on hostessing duties!

Thank you @Karenska! And I think sunglasses -- especially if oversized--are a sure way to add some glam (or at least hide a multitude of not-so-glam reality!). You are looking very casually chic in Bouquets Sellier and I hope the party was fun!All of these are so gorgeous, dear Lkb, especially the Kelly en Perles. And you look quite glamorous in those sunglasses and coat!
Thank you so much! The KeP was my first 140 silk-- so it has a special place in my 🧡 @Croisette7. Love yours-- especially the steely grey one you showed recently.Thank you twin!
Fab esp. KeP ... stay warm! LKB!
... the grey is rare and my absolutely favourite which I never rehome.@Maedi, congratulations on a successful hunt! I am always happy to hear my mod shots and pics bring a smile -- and even some enablement@Katharina Luise! ICan't wait to see what you added while on hiatus. I was lucky with the blue Fleuve-- the size was not clear-- I think others thought it was a 90 and passed it by, even though the condition was excellent and the price very "friendly" as they say...

Beautiful introduction @Karenska-- I am excited for this week as I love borders and contrast hems. The rolled plump hems are so lovely. We are twins on both bandanas and your vintage scarves and recent season pieces are fantastic. Love seeing Axis Mundi and also the beautiful striped hem!Greetings, dear Scarfies, and welcome to our third theme of the year! Many thank to @HermesEchidna for hosting Clever Hands and @bunnycat for hosting Fresh Start to begin the New Year 2025. Now that we are here, let’s celebrate one of the truly wonderful aspects of the Hermès
scarf, the beautiful edges that adorn so many designs.
Hems, Borders, Fringes: Beautiful Edges
Today Hems. The Hermès hem is a thing of beauty. Hemmed from back to front, it is handstitched evenly, round and plump and it is never ironed flat.
Two newer scarves.

Look how beautifully the hems are on this much older one, Axis Mundi.
View attachment 6119177
And even vintage scarves can retain their plump hems if cared for properly. My two oldest scarves, L’Hiver and La Comedie Italienne.

Throughout the week we’ll examining and be showing off the finishing touches of these amazing designs. Please show us yours and any scarf you are wearing, on theme or off, is welcome!
I know this is not on theme but wanted to stop in a share my new-in L’Intrus. It is in like-new condition! Crisp with factory folds! My sweater/jumper is a heathered green although it might look gray here. The green IRL picks up the greens in the some of the feathers. Twins and sisters with many of you. Thank you to all who have inspired! This is my SOTD.

Hello and good morning,
So here is my Pavements. I adore mosaic! And I even managed to put on one of my "oeuvres" today! View attachment 6118111View attachment 6118112
Well today I am inspired by scarf mail and by @Teaforparrots, who showed her very pretty sewing scissors earlier this week. Here is a new cw of Ors Bleu d'Afrique (earlier I posted my blue one). In this cw, the design reminds me of a clever tool used for edgework in sewing and also in paper cutting-- pinking shears!

This is a scarf first for me-- a final sale purchase at a big discount with no return option. But the only flaw are the wrinkles typical of anything that comes from this reseller so I made out pretty well!!!
Some feathers to share today!

First time out with my All’ Orto Botanico to the theatre. I was meant to wait until my birthday to wear it (as a present to myself) but that means waiting another two months so I decided I’ve waited long enough!

In hindsight this sweater isn’t the best for Orto. Will try with a cream sweater next time.
SOTE later to have dinner with friends, so decided to take the mod shot early. Pelages et Camouflage by Aline Honore is one of my favorites, thanks to dear @LKBNOLA who alerted me to it on TRR some years ago. All those beautiful animal furs that vividly remind us of the beauty and utility in nature’s magnificent fauna. Beadwork necklaces and tribal fabrics add to the exotica. I paired it with my own beadwork and pearl jewelry - a lapis and gold heart necklace that was a gift some years ago and a bracelet and earrings I helped design with my wonderful local jeweler, Theresa Girzone, adding one lapis heart to the bracelet as a charm. The St Germain MOP chain d’ancre holds the scarf together. Finally, please note the H fur - Hermes’ own imaginary creature. I’m assigning it feline status, of course.

Scarf mail, entirely influenced by this thread! I passed on En Liberte when it came out because I wasn’t following new releases as closely and just skimmed past when I saw all of the dogs. Since returning to this thread, it feels like this design is posted on at least a weekly basis and every colorway is so beautiful. I settled on this one as my favorite and it recently popped up for resale in great condition. Thanks to everyone for the enablement, very happy with my new addition!

I have not been present last year because of a lot of health issues. But you all made everything better by showing your beautiful photos 😍 Now after having had my second cataract surgery I am ready to join again! So from now on without glasses and feeling better day by day 😊
My scarf of yesterday is L‘ Art du Temari already shown by my scarf sister @AnnaE! I added this CW some weeks ago to my black and yellow one 😉View attachment 6118594
Another one of my hand knits this morning, paired with jewelry from the desert, Parures des Sables. Thank you so much, @HermesEchidna for this wonderful week which had me remember some of my "handcrafted projects", finished or waiting to be finished, one of them in standby mode for more than one year now! 🤨View attachment 6118609View attachment 6118610View attachment 6118611
Thank you to @HermesEchidna for Guest Hosting our week of Clever Hands. I'm finishing the week with Costume de Fete as my scarf of the day. This design not only celebrates intricate hand-work, but is also a nod to our theme next week of fancy borders.
