A terrific introduction, @Redbirdhermes, and I love your agate pendant. That’s a strong beautiful pairing. Sorry to have missed this week entirely due to personal needs but I plan to peruse the week.01 Jun - Diamonds & Pearls: Jewelry, diamond and round shapes on scarves, bonus points for losanges and wearing matching bling!
In other words, welcome to Jewelry Week!
This week's theme is inspired by diamonds and pearls, but reaches far beyond these lovely gems. We begin by looking at our scarves which are dominated by jewelry. This includes designs such as Egypte, Parure des Sables, and Zenobie, Reine de Palmyre.

Some scarves don't have jewels or jewelry, but do have diamond shapes. The chain link fence in Grand Vent comes to mind. The diamond frame around the Tree of Life in Axis Mundi is an example of a diamond shape.
View attachment 6180964
Instead of looking at the scarf design we can look at the shape of the scarf itself. A losange is a diamond shaped scarf. This Hermes Odyssey losange is an example.
View attachment 6180965
To my knowledge Hermes has only issued one round scarf, which was the original 140cm round Clair de Lune.
View attachment 6180966
However, many scarves contain round shapes, including the later issues of Clair de Lune.

If you rotate your square shaped scarf by 45 degrees, most people will agree that you have a diamond shape. The baseball diamond is actually a square that is 90 feet on each side.
View attachment 6180968
Hermes has rotated the design on many of their scarves so that the design only looks correct when the scarf is point down. Gronland is an example of such a diamond design.

Two other examples of diamond shape scarves are Dans un Jardin Anglais and Les Artisans d'Hermes.

Finally, this week you can wear any scarf with your jewelry and be on theme. I happen to own a lot of pendants, but I'm hoping to see your Hermes bracelets, your rings and scarf rings, your necklaces, earrings, brooches and other jewels.
I'm going to begin this week with my Scottish jewelry scarf, Fleurs d'Ecosse. Scotland has a long history of using Scottish agate in jewelry making, and wonderful examples are shown on this scarf. I purchased my agate pendant 50 years ago when I was a college student travelling in Scotland.

I'm looking forward to seeing your scarves and jewelry this week, matching or otherwise. Fleurs d'Ecosse is my scarf of the day.

You look so cool, @AnnaE and that Paint horse is so pretty!Very cool! We went to visit friend’s ranch in Nebraska last year, and I got to ride the actual ranch horses. We visited some Pony Express sites, too, which inspired me to read a book about Pony Express — and then get the scarf.

Perfect pattern mixing - so lovely. I never met a black and white or black on black outfit I didn’t love because it can be dressed up so well with pops of color. This is my preferred cw of AdS although I love my little stable of three - two gavs and a 90.Hello,
I start into this week with pattern on pattern. I have two scarves with black and white patterned animals, this Appaloosa and En Liberté! I find them very useful to combine with black and white clothes and I think I should add more, a tiger perhaps or a jaguar (quetzal)? 🫣 And hurray, this function to insert photos works again!View attachment 6190716View attachment 6190717View attachment 6190718
Happy Birthday, June baby! Such a gorgeous pearl necklace snd perfect with your choice of scarf.Hello and good morning,
I'm a June baby, but of all the gems attributed to me I only have pearls - for now! 😁 This pearl necklace was designed by a German jeweller according to my ideas. It was a bit longer initially but I like it more in this length. I also have matching studs. Scarf worn as a collar and showing a horse wearing pearls.View attachment 6183104View attachment 6183105View attachment 6183106
Redbird, I just finished reading your host posts from jewelry week.Orange Jewels - Opal and Citrine - The October and November Birthstones
Thank you for participating in Jewelry Week and sharing with us some of your lovely jewelry and jewelry themed scarves. I'm finishing this week with birthstones that come in the signature color of Hermes. Orange jewels are indeed a fitting color for the autumn months of October and November.
Opal is one of the birthstones for October. I'm going to discuss three different types of opal today: Australian Boulder opal, Mexican Fire opal, and Welo, or Ethiopean opal.
According to the GIA, "opal flashes colors as you turn the stone or move around it. This phenomenon is called play-of-color. An opal might show a single color, two or three colors, or all the colors of the rainbow! The best play-of-color is the brightest; if it also has all the rainbow colors, then it is very rare and valuable. Opals are known by their background colors and are called black, white, gray, or fire opals."
Australian Boulder Opal has a vivid play of color and is bound to the host rock, which is generally ironstone. As such, it is more durable than other opals. I purchased this interesting opal necklace during my trip to Bali. The pendant has a few different stones, a couple of pearls, but is primarily Australian boulder opal in a blue shade. I'm wearing it with La Marche du Zambeze wash scarf.

Mexican Fire Opal is an opal commonly found in Mexico, and the colors include the oranges and reds associated with fire. The next two pendants are both Mexican Fire Opal.
This is a more common Mexican fire opal that here has a Japanese Kasumi pearl attached. The opal is surrounded by eight orange citrines and there are pink sapphires on the bail. You can see some of the orange, purple and a speck of green opal flash in the stone. I'm wearing it here with l'Esprit de la Foret.

Fire opal is a relatively transparent gemstone and rarely displays an opal iridescence, but can display a striking orange-red color. This pendant was hand carved by Sherris Cottier Shank. I'm wearing it here with Les Mustangs, along with red fire opal earrings.

And, finally I own several pieces of Welo opal from Ethiopia. This is a softer opal that typically has an orangish background. This pendant is a nice example of the play of colors that opal can have, which is termed opalescence. My Welo opal pendant was designed by T Lee, and is worn here with Giverny.

Citrine is one of the November birthstones. Citrine is orange quartz, and as such it is tough and not expensive. Interestingly, if conditions are right, citrine can be found alongside amethyst, which is the purple quartz. The resulting purple and orange bicolor stones are called ametrine.
I have a few citrine pieces, including a few pendants and a pair of earrings. The two briolette pendants below were cut by Richard Homer and the pendant on the left is considered more of a Scotch bourbon color. The earring briolettes are from Rough and Ready Gems, and the setting of the three pieces to the right were by T Lee. I'm wearing my orange citrine pendant and earrings here with Aux Pays Des Epices.
View attachment 6183905
The pendant on the left is 24 kt woven gold by T Lee set with a pear-shaped citrine cut by Roger Dery, and has a Tahitian pearl from Kamoka Pearls and 3 brown diamonds. The strand it is hanging from is color change garnet rondelles from T Lee. On the right are close-up photos of yesterday's aqua colored jewelry pictured with the Beverly Hills mousseline. The mint prasiolite briolette on the right is hanging on a chain of orange citrine rondelles.

Finally, here is a pendant with two Welo opals, a row of orange Mandarin garnets, and a round orange citrine. The glamour photo from designer T Lee is on the left, and a recent photo by me is on the right.

This will be an effortless week. Why? Because my lovely friends here demonstrate every day, with their carrès, foulards and châles, how to make a beautiful look. Our scarves aren’t merely accessories. Together with clothing, jewelry, bags and shoe choices, we create styles that becomes a personal expression of our individual selves. So let’s continue our style efforts and see what design and color pairings are offered this week!
I don’t often pair two scarves but here are a few examples where I did. I enjoyed these looks very much.

What a great H pattern on pattern combo, @LKBNOLA - oh my!! The scale and colors of each scarf work so beautifully together. We are twins with the Tulip GT which is just gorgeous.I am looking forward to this week hosted by @Karenska-- I always learn a lot from these creative styling themes! Here is my most recent combination of two scarves together: a 70 vintage plus CSGT. I wore this outfit to a luncheon in NYC last month and I was just so tickled at how well the combination worked...

This is wonderful on you. I’m keeping an eye out for this cw of Cent Plis De Miao.Hello and good morning,
Increasingly hot, no scarf weather really. 🥵 This morning a horse as some sort of accessory I think. I looked at my small collection of Aline Honorés, but I think she didn't draw many horses, or did she?
Goooooorgeous colours. You look radiant!
