Thank you! Credit should go to MrBelle. I was wearing the tropical blouse and lamenting that it was not scarf friendly - the closest I had was IP and it would be too weird to pair them. He disagreed. I think he was right! This is one of the best pattern mixing I have seen.
Oh, I do so love this chorus bandana on you, sister!I lost track of where we are with our rainbow colors 😂 So I thought I would simply add something I wore this week 😉
First a day with all blue and my Chorus Stellarum Bandana. Then a yellow day with L‘Art du Temari.
And today on my way to run some errands a bit of everything. Red, green, blue, a tiny bit of orange and white (which doesn’t count 😉). My Or Bleu d‘Afrique. And as a bonus photos of some friendly horses I met in my neighborhood. They were coming over to look, what I was doing 🥰View attachment 6163287View attachment 6163296View attachment 6163289View attachment 6163290View attachment 6163291
I love this question and reading everyone's replies @xincinsin! For me, the long ties are more lengthening, drawing the eye up and down a vertical trajectory. Also, working in an office full of men and meetings with clients, I try to avoid looking like I spend too much time fussing with my appearance. To me the shorter ties, while beautiful, can convey too much fussing and frill. Still, every so often I will wear a shorter tie for fun if there are no client meetings that day.Lovely greens, @LKBNOLA
I wonder what factors influence our ties? Our stature? Our figure? (I cannot do a waist tie as I have ... errr ... a lack of svelte) The weather? Our garments? Are longer ties more impressive than shorter? Yes,
I'm thinking about themes for 2026!
That is gorgeous together! It's still Friday but, now I am wearing a new sweater and it's a perfect match for the Botanica Grafica that I happened to be wearing. Same scarf, new look:

Beautiful, Lkb, and very on-theme, tropically speaking. 🌴🐠🍹🦜. Enjoy and safe travels.Dear Scarfies, wishing a very Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates! My family and I are still ensconced on a beautiful island paradise, winding down our vacation so I have not seen all your wonderful posts from Power Week-- looking forward to catching up a bit next week after I head home and before I take off again for Jazz Fest in New Orleans. I am liking and loving what I have seen today! The one silk 90 I brought with me has been perfect for the week and for today-- lots of happy birds (and I see sisters with @FA73 and several others here 🧡 )

This is so gorgeous, @Lellabelle, and thank you for hosting a beautiful week last week. Have not been able to participate this week at all, but many thanks to @xincinsin for hosting rainbow week, too.Last day of our rainbow week and I am determined to post every day! My final colour is red. Pic is from the archives, as I’m out of sequence in turquoise and blues today! We’re on the road so will try and snap a quick pic later to share.

I think this is my favourite Kluska in Animapolis, @Karenska! Thank you for the kind words and I’m glad you enjoyed even if you weren’t able to participate. You’ve been missed. This is so gorgeous, @Lellabelle, and thank you for hosting a beautiful week last week. I absolutely get your problems with yellow dear @xincinsin! For a long time I didn’t like to wear anything yellow. That changed during the last years but nothing too pale. I love your chunky pendant together with the stunning phoenix! 😍Yellow is a tricky colour for me. Being of Chinese descent, my skin has a yellow undertone, so yellow, bronze, gold etc have a good chance of making me look sallow. I favour a banana yellow.

I can take a brighter shade of yellow if it is not the dominant colour.

Amber yellow is a midtone yellow with a tinge of orange.

And then we come to orange...
I didn't like orange very much. But H likes to issue sp eds in orange. Then when I started wearing my orange scarves, I discovered that they are really a dream to wear.

Gorgeous dear @FA73! These warm colors together with your leather jacket 🤩A photo from a few weeks ago as it is a too hot today for cashmere.
I had long admired this orange rust Pavement CSGM on @Croisette7, who said it was one of her H.G. (and that says a lot!!!). I had never seen it anywhere else. Then I found it badly listed on TRR, different cws on the flat and modeled pics...I took a chance and am so glad I did!

Your Mustang is absolutely wonderful dear @Redbirdhermes! 😍These two orange scarves are in my collection only because they are limited editions. First is the Breitling edition of Reves d'Espace.

This is the most beautiful travel look I have ever seen dear @LKBNOLA! So chic! And as some other scarfies have already mentioned, the Thalassa was not on my radar. But now it is! 😍😍😍Ok, so I popped on at 31, 695 feet to share a compliment but I got distracted with all the rainbow beauty this morning! But quick before the spotty internet goes out, I will share because where else do we come with our scarf-related joy? Today my Thalassa shawl got remarks from airport security Clear agent, gate agent and, as I was sitting down for a coffee the waitress said, "Coolest shawl, ever!" And then, for lagniappe and best of all as she was leaving a young woman came by and said, "Excuse me. Just had to tell you that your whole outfit/ensemble today is "travel goals" for me." I was so chuffed to hear it! Really put a dent in my OWIQ (Older Woman Invisibility Quotient) and made me smile. Of course, I texted DH and my DDs and a few friends plus all y'all on TPF!
Here's a photo of what she liked!

Perfect dear @Jereni! And I love your Bottega Veneta 🤩I am a few pages behind but: orange!
I think of this scarf as orange, although I guess here it looks more tan/brown ish. De la Mer au Ciel today.

These colors are so fresh and vibrant dear @FlaTiger! 😍 And 275$ for a silk carré??? Must have been long before I started my scarf journey 😂I haven't posted in a while, although I do catch up on reading this thread. The pics here are just amazing. Life has been hectic, and I never remember to take pictures of what I'm wearing. But I bought a new scarf today at a local consignment store—and it's on topic! Whee!
It's Le Mors a la Conetable in a very colorful colorway. I have done some research but haven't been able to pin down when it was issued. I know there were multiple issue years. I think it has to be the early 2000s due to the care tag and the price tag ($275!!). I got it at an excellent price, and I'm sure it's never been worn. Does anyone know when Neiman Marcus stopped selling Hermes? Or when scarves cost $275?! That was way before my time collecting.View attachment 6163071View attachment 6163072View attachment 6163073
So beautiful together with your bright blue sweater dear @GloWW0rM! 😍 I should have bought this scarf when it was still available 🙄
Wow dear @CoastalCouture! I love this combination so much! Both, scarf and cardigan right up my alley! 💙It's still Friday but, now I am wearing a new sweater and it's a perfect match for the Botanica Grafica that I happened to be wearing. Same scarf, new look:

Wonderful dear @EtsyBoss! Of course I love your scarf but the embroidered cap is just stunning! 😍Progressing through the ROYGBIV alphabet of colors, I'm on Indigo today but not wanting to wear dark blue for the very warm day today, I opted for something with some blue + some Orange as I think most people playing along are on ORANGE today. My Pique Fleuri de Provence doesn't get a lot of neck time because it is hugely sentimental to me, being my very first H scarf and a gift out of the blue from my DH who didn't realize at the time what sort of obsession he had started! Now he's my biggest enabler outside of you all. He and I had a wonderful walk around our neighborhood and enjoyed a long afternoon patio lunch.

As a bonus, I got to finally wear my bright orange ball cap that was handmade and hand embroidered in Madagascar, a place with a tradition of embroidery that is really outstanding and largely unknown. The main part of the embroidery on the hat is a type of lemur called an Indri. I think they might be the largest of the lemurs, though not the largest lemur that has ever lived.

Thank you dear @Croisette7! You are too kind! 😍 I have quite a collection of quilts decorating my walls, beds and sofas 😉 Not all of them are made by myself. A lot were also made by my sister, who was a professional quilter with a shop, giving online lectures and publishing in magazines. 😊Hello Beautiful! You look smashing, as always!
Your quilts behind you are interesting.
You may think orange is not your best color dear @darkstar66. But I have to disagree! You look gorgeous with this Jaguar! 😍Hello,
Orange is not my very best friend. I know that it is complementary to blue, in my case blue eyes, but since my hair changed from chestnut to grey I have to be careful what shade of orange I wear, the bold ones tend to make me very pale. Of course I could change that by wearing makeup but I don't, not even tinted day care, only a good day cream. But I wear lipstick or more precisely mostly lip gloss. This orange suits me well I think and of course the design is my very favourite one, Jaguar Quetzal.View attachment 6162877
