Scarves Scarf of The Day 2025 - Which Hermès scarf are you wearing today?

I’ve long admired the various EleK here without finding a fitting cw for me

A beautiful modeling photo by @Jereni convinced me that this was the one. The fact that it practically landed on my lap at below retail (I’ll tell the story another time) helped!
The scarf is gorgeous but that shade of blue does not agree with me, so I am not putting it near my face, which gives the opportunity to showcase the beautiful red for today’s theme.

Playing some catch-up here… omg the UtW bonanza is giving me serious FOMO and I even own one.

Exquisite!!! This feels like a Prussian blue sort of palette and the orange is just perfect. Makes me think of fine china….

Whhuu-whhhu-wwwwwwowwww!!! All of today’s thread epicness is your fault, in the best possible way! Gosh the colors on all these but yes esp the last one. Want to sell me your ‘placeholder’???? LOL

WHATTTTT?????? THAT THESE COLORS EVEN EXIST TOGETHER I CANT EVEN PROCESS

Lovely! I would so own this if I could wear this kind of beige. Love the pops of blue.

Omg the trio of LOOKS???!!! It looks so good with them all! Ugh whyyy do I not have a stunning taupe leather jacket like all you sexy ladies?

I was going to do orange today and had to do a hard left turn when I saw your post this morn! To be continued for tomorrow.

Love all of these. The MZ in orange is so zesty and unexpected. And - swoon on that Les Toits. That is a for serious grail - I never see it anywhere.

Mmmmoaaarrrr UtW variations??!!! What is this world? I … want … ALL OF THEM.

😭

Radiant, amazing brights! I love this design and cannot find a colorway sadly.

Stunning! You are matching the day you are having and I love it!

Probably??!!!! Lol we are on a roller coaster ride to the very bottom folks - jump on in, the water is NOT BOILING AT ALL.

This Is Fine GIF

9 out of 10 Jerenis recommend this solution!

I’ve lost all ability to function and am just scouring the internet now for UtW but everyone else has already had this idea years ago $&#%$@&%#!!!

ANOTHER ONE???!!!! Why must they all be so beautiful aaauuugghhhh!!!!
Ok so I’m weeks behind on this thread and am trying to catch up at midnight in bed and I giggle so loudly at your comments that I wake up my 4 year-old next to me.

Hilarious. And thank you everyone for your beautiful scarves and wonderfully entertaining posts. One day I will catch up.

Throwback to Orange. My latest acquisition is Katsuona, bought because of the bat wings in the design. Bruce Wayne - one of my fave fictional characters! It will keep me nice and toasty the next time DH decides to go somewhere where it is snowing (Alaska is in his bucket list ...)

And now I come to beautiful vibrant RED.

A little sidetrack here: I am convinced that the quality of the light in the tropics differs greatly from that in the temperate zone, and it therefore affects our perception of colour. The Precious Paradise which I like in sage green? I came across it in the H at Beijing airport last December, but it looked pale and washed out to me then, so I didn't buy it. I love @papertiger's Acte III in red (still love it whenever she posts the photos), and yet it didn't look as vibrant to me when I saw it in my home H. I went back 2 times to look at it, because I didn't believe my eyes

So here are my red scarves which my eye tells me really are a lovely red

Two fun scarves: Les Sportives and Printemps 69. The former is closer to a true red, while the latter is closer to carmine.

I am a Toutsy fan but Brazil doesn't love me (I've bought 2 and neither suited me). So this is the closest I've found to a Brazil pal - a red necktie!

My Tourbillon is mainly red, which I chose because it looked truly autumnal. That small tea towel next to it is made by a Thai craftsman who hammers leaves onto cloth so that the leaf juices stain the cloth. I've wondered if autumn leaves would stain red if he hammered them.

Recently, my office team has experimented with this craft (hammering is a great way to destress  ). I had to conclude that autumn leaves would be too dry to have much power to stain. And when we tried hammering red flowers, we only achieved a rusty red.

Thank you for hosting, @xincinsin . This was fun and instructive. And those Phoenix....😍😍😍

Good morning!
I am so much behind in both reading post and contributing.
Thank you @xincinsin for rainbow week!!

Have been running to celebrations, events and dinners for days - all fun but no sleep - and got up very early today to travel to the cabin for urgent practical matters. I almost look forward to a ‘calm’ work week.

But this at least is my soyd - carousel du tigre royal. Almost on theme with some blue and orange.

Wish you a peaceful Sunday!

I have 3 Acts IIIs, each one is so different. The all-red was my first because it was instant love (like Titania falling in love with Bottom). This is the red/green/purple I wore on Thursday.

I have a feeling the all-red may have not been as high contrast as you may need since the background is more pale pink than white. It suits me better that way since I suit quite bright colours, I'm more a med-contrast person.

One cannot put a price on love, but I see the resale prices for Act IIIs has gone through the roof. I'm happy I bought new, they seem like a bargain now.

I absolutely love your very special Promenade Versaille. I bought a later version when it became Flânerie á Versailles in the dark marine blue, bright yellow and corral, and it is one of my favourite scarves.

Hello @xincinsin I wonder if you have tried this one? It's a Brazil détail and goes with everything.

New week, new theme! After a colourful rainbow week hosted by @xincinsin (three cheers! :flowers: :flowers: :flowers: ), this week it is all about how you build your scarf collection:
Take a Break: Do you have rules for buying scarves? Do you break your rules?

Extrapolating from my own experience: in the beginning you buy everything what you like. Then you start realising that it is near impossible to own all scarves you like, for various reasons, so that's where rules set in (and also the famous Ban Island appears on the horizon). But are those rules or rather guidelines (where motivated deviation is possible)? And is your significant other "helping" to enforce your rules?

Mr Agrume's rules:
1. no more scarves.
2. Exception: you really really want a scar - then rule 3 sets in:
3. One in, one out (or, preferably, one out, one in).

My rules:
The no rules

1. No more CSGMs - I have a few (enough) by now, and wearing them at work is difficult.
2. No CS triangles, see point 1, and I am not so convinced by that format.
3. No different colourways of the same design.
4. No duplicates.
5. No 140 cm silk scarves - the first specimen in that size was sold because I struggled with the amount of slippery silk.
6. No scarves with a lot of white. I find them difficult to wear.
7. definitely no scarves with a broad white border (and preferably no scarves with a broad border).
8. no scarves which are too dark or otherwise unflattering re colours.
9. no scarves with a prominent H logo.
10. no scarves with unappealing theme or name.

The go rules
1. Scarves with beautiful names or themes, even if one or more no rules apply.
2. A SE if I can get my hands on it.
3. Any scarf by Katie Scott or Alice Shirley deserves careful deliberation.

That almost every rule has its exception is demonstrated by my SOTD, the giant triangle On a summer's day (also violating #9, with a relatively visible logo):

And now it's your turn - how do you decide which scarf/ves to buy? or not?

I like these rules. Did you get BdG en fleur? I am trying to decide but the broad border is scaring me.
