Today I celebrate the snake/dragon with Cosmographia Universalis, which has at least two dragons sneaking around in it.

Wonderful intro @FizzyWater!!! And very interesting to learn about the various roles of the Snake Charmer, too. I think your pink Cosmos could charm anybody but I am/was accidentally on theme with my SOYE featuring Orpheus who charmed the gogs, people, beasts, birds and even the trees with his music! And that shawl feautures a snake as well, as @Agrume showed. And my SOTD is also on point! Looking forward to this week and no doubt will be surprised by all the snakes slithering around on my silks!

I see the fireworks scarf on TRR once in a while, very reasonably priced.
I love that brown honey toned Orphee on you and the Pegasus ring. I’m glad it’s wide enough for CSGM size.

Now, I’m sorry I didn’t get La Femme CSGM when I saw it on sale but it was a different cw which I had in 90 size.
But this pink is soooo pretty with your coat dress. Swoon!!

Excited that I finally got my hands on an ELEK! And... drum roll.... in the exact colorway I most coveted! And it was even less than retail prices last decade. What a bargoon, if I'm using that correctly!

Even more excited that I finally got to wear it out today for the first time while my puppy stayed home happy as can be napping in her kennel. Her antibiotics seem to be working (hopefully!) so I felt she could handle some box time for the first time. She stayed dry and handled it so well, a much needed win! The ELEK is such icing on the cake.

This week’s theme is “snake charmer”, a celebration of snakes (and honorary snakes) and music on scarves. As always, feel free to post even if not on theme!

Snake charming as a profession has existed for centuries, most common in India but spreading across Asia and into Africa. The charmers at various times helped clear out snakes from homes, sold medicines to heal bites, or were simply entertainment. After multiple wildlife protection acts, it has become a precarious business.

While these musicians don’t resemble the stereotypical charmers, I believe they must be entrancing their audience. And the green streamers around them suggest serpents to me.

Last day in NYC on this trip. I packed only three scarves, have already shown two, and coincidentally the third is also on theme! Whether they are dragons or snakes, Nothing But a Dreamer absolutely has some scaly serpent-like creatures!
