Thank you, BlueLilac.

Thank you, Lellabelle. Yes, the rainbow hem is delicious in the Hong Kong version. I think that it is the same as the hem on the yellow Space Derby, which, until now, was my favorite.

Thank you, LKB. The beauty of having two such similar colorways of the midnight blue Space Derby is that now I can fearlessly wear the regular version. I'm always hesitant to wear scarves that are precious to me. I'm sure that the regular midnight blue will be having a lot more outings now. The LE will undoubtedly remain precious.

That is exactly why I bought a backup of the marine. Now it’s one of my most worn scarves. It’s getting all soft and worn in, and instead of worrying about it, I can remind myself that I have a brand new one waiting :). It certainly helps reduce the ‘fear of wear’. I did the same for my vert noir Lazy Leopardesses, and I don’t regret it at all. It’s not a viable strategy in most instances, but it does take away some of the fear of spills and snags.

I think you’re right about the hem on the yellow, though I don’t have one to compare. I’ve nearly bought a yellow on a couple of occasions, just for that hem, but yellow is is tough colour for me. It’s why I have such pangs for the SE - you get that stupendous happy hem, with the vibrant starry night racing on the most space-appropriate sky. I think I‘ve mentioned before, but I just love this one for the 60’s sci-fi vibe that it captures so perfectly. Makes me want to snuggle down with an Alfred Bester novel and a big cup of tea. Tyger Tyger (since renamed ‘The Stars my Destination’) and ‘The Demolished Man’ are two of the very best of the genre, in my opinion. Equal parts Philosophy, Psychology and Science Fiction. I love a story that makes me question what I think.

 I was not aware of the "scarf apology bonus" rule. Most thrilled to know.
Indeed! Mr Bcat has become extra familiar with the “scarf bonus “ program. Danger scarf bonus for having to climb up on the roof or scale an 18ft ladder to paint the house. Danger whiney bonus for having to grade and proctor 3 of his online math classes in one semester. Exhaustion thank you bonus from laying kitchen tile last summer (while also grading and proctoring…) I am very creative…and way cheaper than a handy man.

I looooved Ab Fab!!! In fact, when trying to give myself a pep-talk before my first ever H store visit (this past year!) and steeling myself for potential SA-attitude, I kept channeling Edina: “You can drop the attitude, you know - you only work in a shop.” (visiting an art gallery, I believe). And there is actually a brand of flavored soda water here called “Lacroix” - cracks me up!

Anyway, the unexpected result of that first H visit was this Super Silk Quest twilly. When I saw the death-and-destruction side, I knew I had to have it. Birkins and Ballistas, anyone???

Such a great post @Mary Ann G, and a fabulous twilly! It is soooo adorable and cheerful... LOL, I've been reading the ongoing chatter about this twilly and it's been cracking me up! :choochoo:

Hello Scarflandia
Thank you everyone for your kind comments on AdS, Animapolis and sweater dresses. It's freezing cold so they come in handy these days.
Today was also dark and gloomy, so my brightest happiest MT came to the rescue: Ex-Libris en Cravates Maxi Twilly Cut

Wow @Marta_K, you look amazing! You're outfit is so cheerful that I'm in a better mood, and that's something because I'm in bed with a cold. :hugs:

It's been another long day....only bundled up today against more wind and no time for pics (or even makeup) but yesterday's SOTD was Jungle Love Stamped.

Yay, twins with @bunnycat! :hbeat:
Traveling today, and wearing Selle Imaginaire again so instead I will share some other scarves that I find super fun.

Hermes Factory, with its wonderfully symbiotic color scheme.

Lanternes et Ballons… because a cute gavroche is always in style.

Tea for Two - probably the most whimsical/fun design I own.

All gorgeous @Jereni. We're twins on Jungle Love Stamped and sisters on Cheval Sirene. We're also twins on Hermes Factory - I just LOVE this scarf. I wear it all.the.time! Wishing you safe travel. :broom:

Hi all!

It’s my first time posting in Scarflandia! I just wanted to share that all of the drool-worthy posts here of the Animapolis scarf (you all are secret enablers :giggle:) have led me to purchase my first H silk! Up until now, I’ve been a cashmere girlie!

Also not pictured is my first scarf ring! I’m excited to learn all the styles through your posts! I’m so inspired by this community. :flowers:

Hopefully it still counts as my in-theme scarf of the day if I’m not ready to wear her yet… I feel like I need more time just to admire the print! :hbeat:

Dans l’atelier is a happy shawl because cats are such a gift to humans and they are beautifully portrayed here. Plus it kept me warm today.View attachment 5928958
Cats are very skilled at keeping us warm, big cats especially! I'm sooooo envious @Maedi and hope to join you with a Dans l'atelier of my own one day. :hbeat:
A new to me scarf, that truly makes me happy, knowing also being twins with our dear fifi! Also SOTD Turqueries en L'Honneur de Mr de Troy

Ooh nice!!!! :ghi5: So good having twins on this!

Scarf mail for me today. Jungle love.
Anyway I asked from DH, does he like it?
The answer was: well it is very bright and chearful scarf.
Point on DH, point on.
It is he’s way of saying, OMG the scarf has too many colors and a leopard on it😂
 Too funny @ninakt. Every time I buy a scarf with a big cat on it, my DH asks 'what's the deal with the big cats?' We don't even have a cat!' Boys! :noggin:

Ok, tag, whatever  My neck is nice and toasty and I like looking down so I’m happy
Sisters! :ghi5: This design makes me happy too @textilegirl. I just love the busy bee border. Say that 10x fast!
Yesterday's scarf mail was the Limited Edition version of Space Derby that was available in Hong Kong last year. There is an inscription on the lead chariot that reads "Hermes for a brighter future". The colors are very similar similar to the dark blue regular edition of Space Derby. I added a couple of comparison photos.

I tried to track down this LE last year when it was on the Hong Kong website but was unsuccessful. I am so delighted it finally came my way. Introducing Space Derby Hong Kong LE as my scarf of the day.

Wow, great find @Redbirdhermes! You are the resident queen :queen: of special editions. :cutesy:
Grailmail is certainly fun and happy-making!!!

When I fell down the orange slope last spring, Sous le Charme d’Orphee was instant love and because it came out not that long ago, I was quickly able to locate 2 of the 3 colorways I wanted, but this one eluded me…. Until now!!!!! Debuting my third of this lovely design, in the red/coral/mint/gray colorway. Inspiration originally from @Cookiefiend !!!

This is the sweetest design @Croisette7, and looks lovely on you. :girlsigh: I'm pretty sure you look lovely in ALL the colors!

Coming home to New Orleans always makes me very happy. Reconnecting with scarves and clothes I've been away from also lifts my spirits! Finding Scarf Mail waiting upon arrival makes me super happy :happydance: Introducing my new-to-me cw of New Orleans Creole Jazz (1996 edition) which is a bonus scarf-on-site because I wore it in New Orleans this morning ...

New scarfs make me happy - and wearing the clothes my grandma made for me as well.
My latest scarf of 2023 - Au coeur de la vie
I just love your scarf and your post @Jacq1. Grandmothers are very special and I miss mine every day. How fortunate that you have such lovely reminders of her. :flowers:

I’ve scored a few “scarf bonuses” in lieu of hairdressing, housekeeping and one lost bet, but clearly I need to up my game. I’ve been giving away my home repairs for free… 🤣

Ouch. It is not exactly warm here, we even had a frost warning the other night. But not like the rest of the country.

I love the idea of buying backups (just wish the prices were a little friendlier to that idea :) )

No! (It was my own fault because my back was turned from him while I was raking leaves. ) But it did warrant a phone call.... Then Snickers was determined NOT to be outdone. She tried 2 times to climb it and but I grabbed her harness just in time. That was 3 strikes, everyone is in time out and had to go inside.

He was not the least bit remorseful... :roflmfao:

Thank you Snausages , Bunnycat, Jereni, LKBNOLA

All outfits so nicely coordinated, Jereni, but Hermes Factory, Cheval Sirene and JLS 70 are my favourite of these looks, just fabulous - I love your colours instinct

Welcome, dear, on a slippery silky slope! You're lost - you are already one of us  Thank you for sharing your wonderful Animapolis. And I understand your sentiment well, as it usually takes me long time before I start wearing new scarves, sometimes even ridiculously long - but indeed wearing them beats admiring them. Looking forward to seeing more of you here

Maedi
You look so cosy in it. It’s one of the most beautiful CSGM designs ever, IMHO
Thank you. I agree that this is a special design. It’s very cold here, thankful for warm scarves.
