Fêtes Venitiennes is a wonderful choice, Lkb, and such a lovely cw. Your Retour is gorgeous.Thank you for this wonderful introduction @Karenska. I love that Irving Berlin song. I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge of music-themed scarves and designs this week! MY actual SOTD is off topic but I recently wore Fêtes Venitiennes in a new-to-me colorway, so I will post that for our theme, as it has the lute jacquard and sheets of music so prominently featured and we know every carnival needs music!

Edited to switch photos because this shawl with my new jacket makes me want to sing even more!
Beautiful choices, Croisette, and that brooch
Well, that’s a witty association, Awillow, and such a gorgeous cw. I will have to study your hem rehab tut soon!Headed out with the dogs in Jaguar et Colibri. (Ah, @Nomad - leading me down the garden path.) Not a Brittany fan, but since this is cw#3 for me, I guess one could say, "oops, I did it again."

Also, for @LKBNOLA here is a progress shot of reviving hems and a pre-press result.
I should note that before undertaking this. It's advisable to test a tiny portion of your scarf by wetting it to make sure the colors don't run. I have found that my silks don't tend to run, but i've only done this with a few older ones that needed help.
Fill a clean sink basin or large bowl with cool water - your hands will be in there. The trickiest part, I think, is making the hem "drink up" the water. I have found with the hem submerged, pressing the hem in at a 90 degree angle toward the face of the scarf to be most effective - sort of squashing it exactly the opposite way it has been flattened. Work it a bit until it is pliable. You may then gently press it a little more in the 90 degree before kind of gently rolling it between your thumbs and forefingers like you are rolling out a rope of dough (or play dough with your grandkids!) toward the scarf face. Check to see that any stitches on the face are covered.
Once it feels rounded let dry flat. After it has dried, go back in and repeat in any area that seem not recovered enough.
Not quite good as new, but much better!

Thank you Croisette!Your Sweet Dreams is amazing in these colours!
Thank you kindly Helena!I love your Sweet Dreams 😍. It was worth the wait 🙌
Thank you Jereni!Love that ELeK, congrats! And En Liberté looks so cute in that knot.
Beautiful piece. As usual, your shawl-plus-coordinating-statement-earring game is on point!!!
Haha this post made me giggle!!! That Fantaisie Pittoresque is exquisite, and yes so perfect with those shoes.
Amazing! I think you might have the most complete Bingo card of anyone, nice work! That’s an incredible CdF.
Congrats on the 70! That’s my fav colorway of that design. And OMG how I love your Douze Leopards. Fabulous.
Beautiful! I love how so many of us broke out EL on the last Binho day haha.
Thank you for a great week! You look radiant in that Sweet Dreams. What a journey to find it!
Thank you for hosting bingo this week @bunnycat.
That Sweet Dreams ties like a dream. And is making me consider adding it to my list

Awesome end to your Bingo week! That Colibri is just stunning.Happy Sunday, hope I can sneak in the last bingo update, before the new theme starts. My only marble scarf is this twilly, which adds a small punch of happy colors to any outfit.

I have pretty much had a two scarfs a day habit most of the winter, wearing a silk scarf and then throwing on a CSGM whenever going outside. It is starting to be a bit more spring-like here, but the temperatures are still pretty low, so am wearing Le Jaguar et Le Colibri on top of the twilly, with a matching lippy. This is also my most recent addition to my large formats.
After seeing the stunning mod-shots of this in the seasonal thread, I was checking several of the European sites daily for this, but it didn't make an appearance until January. Once it popped up on the French site, I pulled that trigger so fast!

Adding two more bingos for three in total.Thank you @bunnycat for hosting this always fun week!

Thank you kindly LKB! I slept until almost 10am today. So glad I managed a full night's rest for once.Thank you @Ashanti_Rose-- the sepia Cabanes must be truly lovely! Mine is the encre/blanc-- such a magical magical design. Well, they all are, to be honest! I feel lucky to have found the ones I have collected...
Congratulations first of all on your two new-ins! The losange is so special and the bandana is going to be fabulous with denim as you have shown @Karenska.
I am glad I brought a giggle to your day @Cookiefiend-- I love your Claque au Vents and as a fellow-traveler on BdG love your collex is just...
Very pretty hem @Locquaciousloc.
Oh, my. I would love to see your cw @textilegirl-- it seems to be shown here so rarely and the design is sublime ! One to get lost in...
Wonderful @Jereni! Isn't it amazing how every side is unique? Also do you have a new hairstyle? You look even more luminous than ususal!!!
Tied Up in Knots with your cardi is just fantastic @LeneCPH and as your sister 12 Leopards lover, your cw is swoon-worthy!
Beautiful @SilkCouture and oh, yes the boxes from So French So Chic are amazing. I have several here and in New Orleans. You inspired me to rearrange at least one shelf yesterday with my scarf books and boxes. A sort of altar-- or a start to one, anyway.

I have seen that gorgeous green one @Winter4!!! It is a beauty. I am delighted to be your blue sister on that one...I wish there were more Houtin designs-- I only am aware of four...
This looks great @JavaJo!
Thank you @Maedi! It was an early acquisition and a sentimental fave.
Shhhhh!!! Please @FA73, do not say that quiet part out loud. We will all get into big trouble....
Really great jacket/scarf pairing @Teaforparrots and look at your garden grow...spring feels very slow here this year.
I love seeing mod shots of this @Helena7-- I am your twin on the khaki and wore it for the first time recently. It is a very happy design.
Oh, wow! This is so serenely beautiful @Cookiefiend-- the most perfect neutral moussie! Definitely a wish list item.
I had to read this twice -- first I thought you were wishing @bunnycat "goegeous sweet dreams" and then I realized you meant her scarf @GloWW0rM! A funny misprision...
I love this lipstick so much I bought a second one and now I may need a back up for that one @HermesEchidna! It goes with so many many scarves...
Thank you @Jereni! I love a good scarf/shoe pairing. Two obsessions though thankfully the ratio of shoes to scarves is much much lower than one:one.
What a great closing post @bunnycat! I love Scarf Tales of every kind and you are a great storyteller! Your (our) Sweet Dreams was worth every single minute of the wait. It looks phenomenal with your jacket! #inspiration And thank you again for a fun and fabulous week. Now try to get some rest!
Thaty's fab on you! Worth falling off "the wagon" for. Love the lippy match to scarf as well.Hello!
I am not sure it merits more bingo-squares but this is my sotd for a Walk in the Sun by the harbour today.

On another note : confession time.
I claimed in my last post that I could not chose what scarf to treat myself with when embargo ends in May.
Well. Ban Island became treasure Island instead. By total accident (I swear! - it was to get away from sudden rain) I ended in the H boutique on Friday with DH (who had never been there before…bless him).
I have been partly unhappy, partly relieved that none of the Precious Paradise cws has appealed to me - way too much cream, white, light blue and peach. But lo and behold - a Golden version with some purple, red and green presented itself.
So I did a thing.
I still have not decided what next to aquire, but that choise will now not need to happen before June or July
But who Can resist purple pengiuns, otters and a red zebra ?

A Pretty Scarf is Like a Melody

The American composer and lyricist Irving Berlin wrote the song from which our theme is derived in 1919. My beloved Dad would sing this pretty tune to me when I was a wee one, a cherished memory, for sure. Here is a snazzy interpretation by the great jazz saxophonist, Coleman Hawkins.
Irving Berlin wrote an estimated 1500 songs during his 60-year career, including the scores for many Broadway shows and Hollywood films. It goes without saying that he is an icon of 20th century popular American music. And inspiring us today to look at our scarves from a musical perspective!
Do you sometimes don a scarf and feel just perfectly lovely and light-hearted, the world sunny and bright? Does a scarf that you own sometimes recall a special song or musical piece? Which scarves make your heart sing?
Musique des Spheres by Zoe Pauwels, one of my first gavs, is not only music-themed but also reminds me of so many classical pieces featuring viols. Internet photo to see the design. It is also reminds me of the famous Leonardo drawing, Vitruvian Man in style.

Wish you all a wonderful Sunday!
It’s absolutely stunning, RBH, and don’t we love our rescued scarves. I’m trying to rescue my CdC which, despite MANY washings, stubbornly will not be free of the terrible perfume odor that satched it by its previous owner. Not sure what my next move is but it is indeed in quarantine. I won’t let it near by other scarves.Thank you for the lovely introduction to Music Week, @Karenska. I particularly enjoyed seeing your La Musique des Spheres pretties. This is a design that I had been looking for since I began collecting Hermès scarves and it finally came my way last year.
But, I'm going to start the week with my red wabi-sabi Turandot. I was delighted last week to read @Sickgrl13 's story of her Turandot rescue scarf. I purchased my damaged red plisse Turandot for the same reason she did. It was an affordable entry for an otherwise expensive grail. After washing and ironing I have a beautiful imperfect scarf that still has lots of life and which I'm not afraid to wear.
Turandot is my scarf of the day.

Thank you, dear Agrume!Thank you, Karenska, for a terrific introduction!
And many thanks to @bunnycat for a wonderful (and playful) week of scarf Bingo! It was also entertaining to Mr. Agrume (who, I am afraid to say) still opposes a scarf gift vault, as I have (more than) enough scarves (in his view). He may be right, objectively, but what is enough to one of us?
I second the others, what a great brooch! perfect pairing with the green scarf.![]()

many thanks, LKB ... which cw do you have? Both are perfect and so beautiful and that brooch! Fabulous @Croisette7. My Fleurs de l'Opera does not have a border...makes me want to check the dates and issues....So pretty with the darker green accent.
