Beautiful colors on you, love the purple!Joining in with La Vie du Grand Nord worn for a children’s Christmas production this afternoon. I tried a fancier knot but it didn’t work out as I’d hoped and I ran out of time so I fluffed and let it be!

I would not have expected this to be as amazing as it is in person. Fantastic choice!Well, y'all. It is a two scarf day for me today. I finally-- finally-- received my last piece from the 1024 AW season. This is the very first item I reserved at the boutique last summer and it is the very last to manifest, barely making it before the year end! I can't really say this is "holiday" but there is that beautiful brick-red hem. And it is making its debut at a small holiday gathering.
All'Orto Botanico di Palermo in caramel. Thrilled to be twins with @Croisette7. View attachment 6104326
Haha, it may not technically but a holiday scarf but I love the Bains d’H!About as festivus as I can get.
Dark plaid with some emerald green in it with Ex Libris Madras bandana moussie. Organza always feels like a holiday type of material too.

And this scarf has nothing at all to do with the holidays, except that one day (during spring or fall, I can't recall) I wore this out walking, and someone said what a nice Xmas scarf I had on....
Cherry Pink and Green Xmas for you then, Bains d'H

So exciting! Sounds like a very much deserved break.Good morning!!!!
I can almost not hide my deep sorrow of this being my last at work in THIS YEAR!! - not!!!
So trying to be a little festive and even got a beer to match my Source de Pegasus. And a new pin (with a subtle cut the crab-message)

Got grail mail Yesterday but will save that for another post 😉
And tonight I will even try and do some drink and scarf mixing to celebrate the beginning of the Holiday.
Wish you all a fabulous Day!!
Beautiful knot! I do love that there are scarfies here that have been collecting for 25-30 years and you’re enamoured. Thank you for sharing! So this is my only real winter scarf, Plaisirs du Froid. It has been shown before but I don't think in this cw. I bought it some 25 or 30 years ago. It was love at first sight and it remains my most loved classic scarf because of its finely drawn figures, the subtle and somewhat old fashioned colouring in combination with the classic blue border and the gracefulness of the scenery. I tried an ondulation knot but only suceeded halfway due to my clumsiness. View attachment 6104582View attachment 6104583View attachment 6104585
So very lovely with your jumper and in the friendship knot.Well, everyone, thank you for sharing your lovely scarves and deadly drinks! Happy Holly-days...

Fantastic cw! Congrats on your new-in.I picked up an additional colorway of this design because I adore these ice fishermen. Ice fishing is our unofficial winter sport.

Snow is falling heavily today in celebration of the coming of winter. Introducing my latest La Vie du Grand Nord next to my Northern White Pine, which is in its element today.

Have the best time! I almost feel like I’m there with you (even if you may not want that!).Bonne Soir Scarflandia - I think I’m off theme (I’m not sure what it is - so maybe I’m knot?), but I have a Scarf on Site with La Cite Cavaliere, and a bonus of the wine we had!

Adorable little village. Thanks for putting it on my radar. I love this Bajtlik design.OT but had a recent trip to Poland for Christmas Markets. Visted Zalipie Painted Village. Scarf on theme for the visit was Jan Bajtlik's Costume de Fete, which I bought to channel my Polish grandmother.
Here's the scarf:

And here's the photos from the village & a brochure. It's easy to see where Jan got his inspiration from:

😂 at your wordplay - “on the rocks” indeed! Cheers! Enjoy your well-earned vacation. I have a few more days to go yet and I am counting the hours…
Lovely! Will have to try this.
Wow, it truly is a different scarf on the opposite bias. I love both looks. Thank you (I think!) for putting it on my radar.
Work has been insane this week. A quick round up of some looks. Mostly not on theme.
Point d’Orgue. Organ music is appropriate for the season, I think?

Three graces. A much loved and luminous silk. Trying out the SS2025 Pegase scarf ring, before it goes under the tree. For the eagle-eyed, it’s also on CDL CSGM above.

Such a cosy look!Whoops, forgot to post earlier. Brandebourgs today. This is not perhaps Christmas-y colors but I do find it somewhat festive and dramatic.

Well done you - Sweet Dreams is totally grail. Cheers!Good afternoon !
First Day of the Holiday and I have now wrapped gifts for two hours and made dough for Swedish Saffransbullar (saffron buns with marcipan) and have catched up on a ton of podcast episodes - talk about hygge!!!
But I also got time to play with yesterdays scarf mail. I am sure I will sleep well tonight now that I have finally added Sweet Dreams to my collection. The triangle does only have two of the jolly monsters - but the color matches a glas of Lillet rosé aperitif 🥂

Thank you ‘Nola. Would love to see yours with CDL when you can!Beautiful @Lellabelle and thank you for the inspiration with the new Pegase ring (inspired to pair it with Clair de Lune!!!!). Your indigo foncé Three Graces is always a joy to see. Amazing color!

Thank you, @Jereni!Exquisitely paired with that dreamy green sweater!!
Oooooohhhh. I don’t normally get drawn to scarves that are predominantly yellow but this is so incredibly striking! Looks wonderful with the beige top.
Thank you! I think the camera just loves rich textures. This is actually Dale of Norway. I bought during a family heritage trip we took to Norway in 2022, and one other that I’ll show later once I can get a good selfie with it. But Oleana sweaters look very nice too.
Omg December in Paris!!!! Too wonderful. Have some lovely wine and Champagne for all of us!
What a cute ad that is! The gav / bandana looks charming on you. And thank you for the drink recipe, I LOVE elderflower and have screenshot this to make it next week with my husbands family.
Oh how neat! Gosh I love this scarf. Perfect for your day out there. I’ve been to many a German Christmas market (and do not get me started talking about them bc I will never stop), but not a Polish one.
Gorgeous holiday selections! I’m especially smitten with that colorful Source de Pegasus against the red top.
So cuddly! And definitely festive and perfect for a school holiday activity.
Yes!!! Dale of Norway twinsssss.

Beautiful! The Rembrandt is a wonder, even during restoration.Still OT. Recent trip to Christmas Markets started in Amsterdam. Was finally able to visit a top museum on my list - the Rijksmuseum. Appropriate wear was Tulipomanie.

And finally got to see Rembrandt's Masterpiece - The Night Watch - well sort of...it was undergoing restoration. I was a bit bummed out but as my background is in chemistry so I am also fascinated by art restoration. Because it was unframed you got to see the borders - which reminded me of a reference in "The Thomas Crown Affair" (Brosnan /Russo) where she comments that forgers don't typically see the borders of a painting because they are hidden under the frame, so that's one way insurers can tell if it's a fake.

Dear @Lellabelle - Thank you. The recipe is from my MiL and I have tried to translate it to English from Swedish. Please excuse any spelling errors and ask if something is not clear - I am not that familiar with baking terminology in English - or in Swedish for that matter. It’s lovely. The rich purple is yummy. I must keep any eye out for this one.

My mouth started watering at the very mention of saffron buns with marzipan. That’s my idea of comfort food! If you have a recipe you recommend, I’d love to give these a try. Enjoy the Lillet rose

Cocktail to accompany it is a Claridge (like the London hotel), a Friday night favourite. Easy and tasty. Recipe below:
1oz gin
1oz dry vermouth (Noilly prat, for preference)
0.5oz apricot brandy
0.5oz cointreau
Shake over ice, and enjoy cold with a twist of lemon peel for garnish.

What a formidable cw. I haven’t seen this design in darker colors and it’s smashing.
I always miss German Christmas markets. They’re so cozy and sweet. Delicious mulled wine, treats, high quality crafts…Exquisitely paired with that dreamy green sweater!!

French je ne sais quoi... I have to consider if there is a how to😅“Faubourg by Night” snowglobe scarf for the season. I’m trying to be cool and insouciant with the “throw it on” not knot look. It really is hard to get that French je ne sais quoi…

Super yum. Reads a bit complicated and to me intimidating.Dear @Lellabelle - Thank you. The recipe is from my MiL and I have tried to translate it to English from Swedish. Please excuse any spelling errors and ask if something is not clear - I am not that familiar with baking terminology in English - or in Swedish for that matter.
Saffransbullar English
For the dough
5 deciliter milk
50 gram of live yeast (can probably be substituted by dry yeast?)
1 gram of saffron
1 teaspoon sugar
200 gram soft butter
A pinch salt
2 deciliter sugar
14 deciliter wheat flour
Filling
200 gram marcipan
100 gram soft butter
0,5 deciliter sugar
2 teaspoon vanillasugar
Decoration
1 egg, beaten
Pearl sugar or crystal sugar
Heat the milk to 37 degrees C.
Crumble and dissolve the yeast into the lukewarm milk.
Ground the saffron with a spoon of sugar and mix into the milk.
Combine soft butter, flour, salt, sugar and the liquid in one Big Bowl and mix together by hand or with a mixer for about 10 minutes until it is a very elastic soft lovely dough which easily slip off the sides of the Bowl. Cover and let it rise to double size for about 40 minutes.
Grate the marcipan and mix with vanilla, sugar and butter.
Roll the dough out to a Big square and spread out the filling evnly on top. Fold the dough together - fold one third of the dough towards the middle and the third from the other side on top of this as well. Roll this rectangle of dough out to fit a large backing tray. Line the backing tray with backing paper and put the square of filled dough in there. Then Cut the dough into squares - easy with a wet knife - but dont separate them. Also cut a cross in each of the squares - easy with scissors. Cover the whole tray and leave to rise for about 30 minutes.
Brush it all with a beaten egg and sprinkle with Pearl sugar.
Put in a preheated oven on 220 degree C and bake for at least 20-25 minutes until lovely goldbrown but on top and in the bottom of the buns.
Ideally it Then looks like this. Good luck on getting one yourself if there are kids or partners around!
