It looks like everyone had a great week celebrating their "Just because..." scarves.I had a few more I didn't get a chance to post (just) because I spent most of the past 2 days keeping the outside cat beds warm 24/7. I am sad to say, back in the spring another cat showed up on our doorstep, and it was clear that he had been someone's and had been tossed out (neutered, knows what indoors is, etc). Sadly, he is also very obnoxious and hates being picked up, hates being petted and all other cats. I have repeatedly told him (F'ing Bob) that he showed up at the wrong house if that's his attitude. But still he stays so I take care of him and go get him his shots. But it makes me sad and mad someone did this to him instead of trying to go get him some medical help for his attitude.
It took me over a month to get him used to the semi-feral cat that I care for that stays on our porch in bad weather but they have a truce as long as most of the time they are about 8-10 feet apart. So it's been cold for a few days, and he won't go in any sort of shelter, so I built him a little blanket cubby on the porch bench and put one of my cold weather Snuggle Safe warmers in it for him which he thankfully took to. These warmers are heated in the microwave and stay hot for 7-8 hours so I spend my days in cold weather as the resident heating pad warmer here.
Anyway- Let's get ready for a new week theme and explore our scarves from the end of the alphabet.
08 Dec 2024 TUVWXYZ: Designers from Toutsy to Zoe
Yesterday was a two scarf day as it was cold and wet outside so I needed something rain worthy but just a little extra indoors.
So I chose Alice Shirley Zebra Pegasus pocket square to keep me cozy inside.

But outdoors, I needed some help from my giant cotton pareo Flamingo Party (Toutsy, also Thione)

Well, those are the "picturesque" looks. But here was the outdoor "reality".PS- I am wearing my very first circular knitting machine attempt! Ok- it is actually the 4th try but first successful one. It actually went great except for the cast off where I had to say over and over to myself when fixing a stitch that dropped to "just do it like she told you".

Adore this one. You look wonderful in it! Every time you post it you send me on a hunt. It’s so soft and velvety and every one of the colours is in a tone that works for me. I haven’t seen one in an age though… one day 🤞
Well, that is just the burst of colour amd energy needed to chase away the seasonal blues! Inspired pairing with green.
I am such a fan of Tigre Royale. I love that you can see the tiger’s whole face in the original design. He, or she, has such grace and dignity. Am almost-sisters today, with the 2022 double-face.

Thanks, dear Maedi. It’s always nice to hear from you. I’m trying to be more brave with putting things together that might feel like they’re too much or too busy sometimes! Yes, I try to find them in the boutiques when I can, and I also have an idea of what to avoid that can make me look too pale.

Today it is Sct Lucia Day. A Day to light candles and look towards brighter times. 🕯️also a Day to send warm thoughts to those sick or in distress or just to wish for endurance in x-mas times.
I wear a candle pin and a holiday red scarf to match. Fornunately it Can tie in a Way not to reveal the slaying and dismembering going on in the motive…
