I wish the pearls were Tahitian! These are a simple set of irregular ones I picked up for a song years ago and restrung when the silk gave out. They’re a pretty colour though, and the length makes them quite versatile to style. I love the organic beauty of pearls and you can find pretty pieces at both ends of the quality spectrum!

I agree - pearls are infinitely fascinating, and I am sure our dear, knowledgeable @Redbirdhermes with the exquisite pearl collection would agree. Your pearls are lovely. I have a strand of white with pink overtones baroque pearls that need restringing- I need to get that done!

That's what I thought for me, darkstar. I would suggest trying it for yourself (we all have diff preferences and likes) - get the one you can ultimately return (I purchased one off TRR and it was returnable). If only for the sake of trying it out - the shipping fee you lose is worth a much larger shopping mistake if it is non-returnable. It might also depend on the CW and contrasts within each CWs - I don't know. I only tried three...

Thank you for your suggestions. It is non- returnable unfortunately. And even if it were returnable, there would still be customs fees to complicate matters. So I have to make up my mind if yes or no...

How comfortable are you to reselling yourself? If you are comfortable reselling, I’d be more likely to take the risk, especially if you think you can recuperate all/most of your costs. If not and since you are feeling unsure, I’d probably wait for another one to show up at a reseller where returns are an option.

Thank you, Jacq1. I have already called it off, meaning I had a price offer but didn't accept. For me, it is more a matter of money in the end. When I still worked and got paid for it, I was much more "impulsive". 😊 Nowadays, I still work but won't get any money for it. 🤣🤣 Okay, I have regained my freedom and I'm happy to pass much more time with my husband, so no regrets, not at all! 🥰 And carrés/shawls come and pass...
