Vitamin C! Vitamin H? All gorgeous, Ajax. Your men’s collection is TDF.
Thank you!!! In the past couple of years I find that I barely buy anything from the women's collection anymore. The 90cm silks are difficult for me - I feel like they age me and I find it hard to make them work with my casual style. They're also not warm enough for winter but make me sweat in warm weather. I have a few but wear them less and less. The 140cm shawls, meanwhile, are too much fabric and overwhelm me (I'm 5'1). The men's 100cm and losange cashmere/silks are perfect cozy winter scarves that don't require me to wrestle large swaths of material into submission, and the new mens rectangle format is the absolute perfect size to throw on casually and go, without worrying about bias folds and getting the knot just so to show off a certain part of the scarf and whatnot.

At least with the ties you've shown, I would say the Zabavushka is too similar to the cream CdF to justify keeping the latter, and maybe even to the blue CdF, given the black border. (I think the cream CdF is overall blah anyway, but I'm someone who always gravitates to bright colors.) The blue you could possibly justify keeping if you tie it to show the bright blue center rather than the borders. But if you're gonna keep just one the cyclamen is a no-brainer IMO.Lovely match with your blue sweater.

Introducing my new-to-me La Maison des Carres with its green hem (well, maybe slightly blue-green) as my scarf of the day.

Ahhhh that Grand Prix is such a happy scarf over all with its bright blues and greens. That CW was my holy grail, but I could never find it and had to settle for my grey one :(

Good morning all! Today I am participating in @Coco2606's and @Lellabelle's "Is this covered in my closet?" adventure. This season, I purchased the mauve/periwinkle/gris nacre Costumes de Fete, which I am head over heels about. I thought I might also want a bright cw of Bajtlik's charming design. Last night my DH brought Zabavushka back from New Orleans where it had been left. So is a bright folkloric scarf with a terrific border covered, or is Costume de Fete so unusual I should keep the bright blue, cyclamen or cream one on my table awaiting its fate of return or keep?

Your Zababushka is a stunner! Another testament to why this scarf is a grail one! The costumes are all lovely - but fade in comparison with Zabavushka (especially it is interesting when looking at the scarves side by side - great exercise!).. If I had the funds to spend, I would splurge for another CW of Zabavushka in exchange for three Costumes:))))...

Yet again with some archive pics - I'm a sucker for a yellow contrast hem! If the bright shot of sunshine doesn't make you happy, what will

So I’m behind, what’s new, hope to catch up later, but I must introduce my new-to-me purchase, courtesy of a lovely collector here, and definitely on-theme. My newest Appaloosa :ty:. The herd is growing because this is my fourth  … I’m in love :hbeat:.

Loving the border and hem on this beauty and it is a great example of the border being a true part of the design which is an homage to the Shyrdak rug weaving tradition in Kyrgyzstan. Here is a photo of it flat:

Thank you. Good information for this newbie. I too am attracted to the Losange shape.

You definitely need one!! It can be so hard to tell accurate colors in this design because the dots in the design create colors that pictures often don’t capture. And I just found out that it might have come in a 140!?!? I would need to do some more research to know it wasn’t a fake but I am very very intrigued by this find

I am on the search for more of this rusty orange at retailers because I love it. But this sweater isn’t all season obv. And I have a surprising amount of scarves to go w this purple color including my cyclamen costumes :happydance:

I just can’t handle how amazing this design is. Your second tie w the flutter tails is perfection! And the blue top is perfect
wow @Nomad between the different knots and different tops this looks like 2 different scarves! And thank you for the CdF love - I think imma have a hard time not getting multiples. I've got the curry, am debating the cream, and waiting to see the olive border
We didn’t have any rain today, so I wore perspective cavaliere with a narrow petrol blue border and a pink hem. It’s a very subdued scarf. When I started collecting, I wasn’t so confident with color and patters.
View attachment 5689490
Even I do subdued every now and then - this is a calming look @Nhare
This one shows the blue base color a little better with an extra animal thrown in for good measure. Meet Isadora who will be four in March. She’s our funny, adorable, active Portuguese Water Dog. View attachment 5689538
@CedarWaxWing squeeeeeeee Isadora!!! I love her! Beautiful Animaux too
 Soooooo gooooood pink hem!!!!

 Poor DH! That's too bad about the allergies! Thank you and I know you like Sir Pickles, but there's another side to him as well.... Wait til you see Drunk Pickles.

Beautiful! That is too bad about the wool allergy! If you only knew the breed they used, you might try another with a lower micron count. I can't wear higher micron count wool (too coarse) but VLMicron Merino is not a problem for me. Sadly...mohair is a huge problem though...

Thank you! You know you want to!!!! :graucho:

Fantastic colorway of this!

If I could trust her to not bite the scarves....I would let her play along. Sir Pickles just wants another treat!

This is so fantastic on the striped shirt! It's the perfect foil.

I can hardly wait to be your twin on the green colorway! it comes out of the SGV reaaaaallll sooooonnnn....

Thank you kindly Maedi...

For Sir Pickles, life's not all about sittin' pretty. After a night of hard partying and Formula One races around the living room with Fiona and Snickers, I give you all...Drunk Pickles... :roflmfao:

A true beauty in all its weirdness. Honestly, Snausages, it’s really not that weird. Reminds a bit of the cover of Sgt Peppers.
OMG yes on the Sgt Pepper @Karenska !

This is perfection on you @Karenska and it goes perfectly with the grey top!
Love your pastel cw of it @Nomad-- yes, an amazing graphic wonder-- busy and clean at the same time. Amazing artistry to pull it off.

We will all keep an eye out @EtsyBoss-- mine is not my actual family clan tartan but I am happy to honor the spirit of the house. Plus they are all beautiful! Are you also looking for Scotland? That one comes up more often, I think...

Fascinating character and a fascinating scarf! Thanks for the pics @Snausages-- this is a great cw. (and thank you for the Ailes love!)

Just beautiful on you-- stunning knots for the border and an inspired move to pair it with the bright blue. It tones it down and lets the border shine @Snausages.

 I will tag you too @Maedi.

The rust and the cyclamen/purple are both great on you @Nomad. Very very complimentary to your coloring.

Well as a devoted PWD owner (though mine are cavorting in Portie heaven) I could not love this more @CedarWaxWing and oh, btw congrats on the scarf. Can't tear my eyes from Isadora tho...

Thank you for being so sweet and reassuring @Maedi. When I was a neophyte at scarf buying, I only ever considered the aesthetics of the design flat so I have been catching up and enjoying the enormous possibilities that different folds and knots allow...

 It will be 45 years this August @bunnycat so I think I will have to keep DH-- that return window has closed! And drunk Pickles is too funny-- it reminds me of my new puppy Scout who is just "plumb wore out" and by day's end looks like he's sleeping off a night of hard partying too...

I absolutely relate to this @Nhare! Besides my CCP program, I also re-homed some subdued and very lovely, useful designs that were safely in my comfort zone before I began to really collect by artist and design. A few now grace the necks of my young nieces and daughter giving them quiet confidence and style in their workplace! Meanwhile I am just getting bolder and louder

Thank you so kindly @Lellabelle. It is nice to hear my knots aren't eclipsing my beauties! And two years ago when I was firmly wrapped in seaweed and being pulled under the waves, @xincinsin mentioned her intention to resist the undertow of the new season thread. It is very hard-- dare I say even futile at times, but your exercise in closet shopping/comparing is a big help. New Scarf Frenzy sounds a lot like a malady I suffer from: Acute Scarf Acquisition Syndrome...

I am your twin on Cavaliers and sister on FoSA @Coco2606-- two stunners! Amazing pieces to have collected...

Great colors in the center of this one @paula24jen-- I love the black bordered one-- even folded away! (And thank you! credit goes to @Cranley Place on You Tube for her "Pocket Posy Knot" and to our own @blydia for the Rando. Both are on the how to thread I think).

Thank you, Ajax. I settled for the light purple colorway of Grand Prix for several years before I finally found this bright blue with the green hem. Agreed that this is my favorite colorway of this design.

They are all so pretty. I quite like the cream / black paired with your burgundy top. The whole look is so cohesive and makes your hair color look gorgeous. The cyclamen with your royal blue top and yellow in the ends showing is happiness! And that blue / black one.... swoon. It's delicious but in my opinion is the one most like your original.

On a same page with you:) I find it harder to wear silks - and maybe end up wearing them a few time a year if any. Summers are way too humid to have a piece of precious silk to sweat in:) I migrated to cashmere instead - but feel comfy in 140 as I am 5'8 tall - and love the fell of being wrapped in a the soft gorgeousness of plush fabric:) I tried 100 - and felt those were too small for me:) figure that:)
I also share your concern re: the silk scarves "aging effect":) as much as I love and admire some designs, I am aware of their "aging effect" on me and prefer to stay away from anything with lots of small details or flowers, antything too pale, anything too dark, etc etc. I find that bright and colorful geometric designs have a more youthful effect - especially when worn in more casual knots:) My motto: less is more:))
