Wow, this thread moves fast! Thanks for the kind comments and likes for yesterday’s pics, as well as for the well wishes. Finally feeling a little better today, so off to “shop my collection”

I don't have a big collection of scarves but I'd love to put most of them on rotation this year and learn more knots!

Love that fringed stole on you and glad to be of help on getting it out of your scarf drawer and around the neck. I, too, wish there were a way to safely show off the marvelous length. But, safety must come first when wearing cloth around the neck, particularly with these dangly bits. I think this is a good compromise.This thread moves just too fast for me… Am late. It got me thinking… Am echoing many of you with my scarf resolution for 2023: I promised myself to wear those scarves more often that I love but which still don‘t come out a lot. One of them is my Palette fringed stole. Dear @Redbirdhermes gave me the idea when posting her breathtaking marble fringed stole. Thank you!I always wanted to emphize the wonderful length of my stole but this wish made it more difficult to actually wear the stole. Copying @Redbirdhermes style and sticking to my first resolution on January 1, 2023 itself:

2nd resolution: Re-home those scarfs that are always left in the drawer because they are not me. This is very difficult for me. To let go. Hmmm. For once I am wishing for a scarf police…
Gavs are indeed a consolation! And that sweet little something that satisfies, like a Godiva chocolate. I love my gavs and wear them alot. When I was in LHR in 2019 with little time to spare, I almost bought this gav because there was no real time to shop for a 90. But I was indecisive and waffled, even though it was the perfect lil souvenir. My regret was instantaneous, as I kicked myself down the aisle to my seatAnother resolution: STOP buying gavs! @FizzyWater and @bunnycat related amusing anecdotes about the unsatisfactory feeling of leaving the boutique/airport shop/flagship empty-handed. Lipsticks would be more budget-friendly, but too often, I ask to look in the gavroche drawer when I can't find something I hoped for and walk out with (an admittedly lovely) consolation prize.at how many have multiplied in my scarf drawer over the years! So I am carefully now editing. However, the editing/curating does not necessarily mean fewer scarves. My true confessions example is that I rehomed two different Baobab Cat gavs because they were format placeholders for what I really wanted, which was this:

A very very beautiful Feux du Ciel @laurenad! I just added this design last summer but mine is a fireworks cw! I also succumbed to Le Chat Carre in a very different cw. The comparison of the brushstrokes was made over on the seasonal thread and I think there's a more psychedelic, even a dreamy quality to the Sefedin while taking nothing away from Manlik. Definite similarities! Especially if you were choosing a close cw as you were considering. Of course as @Nomad points out, you do have cat anatomy to contend with as well...

If you fall in love all over again when you open the box, that right there is an argument against rehoming! A second argument would be this lovely mod shot @Coco2606 -- to be sure this is different from your trademark brights but it is lovely on you and has a place with your winter sweaters. But I bet it would look wonderful on white or lighter blue or green for summer as well. I say keep them all but it is good to look more critically as your collection grows... And yes, now I have an "earworm" for the day thanks to Clash!
