Lella, this is great on you! I went through a red blue white phase (still a beloved part of my collection) and would have snapped this up!
Thank you kindly! @Awillow. Red is not well-represented in my collection, for some reason. I have a navy and red source de pegase and this: similar colours, but different formats, so both have earned a place in the scarf drawer!

Wow, this thread moves fast! Thanks for the kind comments and likes for yesterday’s pics, as well as for the well wishes. Finally feeling a little better today, so off to “shop my collection” ;)

A note that while it can be hard to keep up with sometimes, the amount of activity and contribution to this thread is a testament to how special this community (and this thread especially) is! Thank you all for making this such an affirming and fun place to be!

This thread moves just too fast for me… Am late. However, still wishing you all a very happy, healthy and colourful New Year! ❤️ Dear @bunnycat, this is a wonderful theme to start the year! Thank you! It got me thinking… Am echoing many of you with my scarf resolution for 2023: I promised myself to wear those scarves more often that I love but which still don‘t come out a lot. One of them is my Palette fringed stole. Dear @Redbirdhermes gave me the idea when posting her breathtaking marble fringed stole. Thank you! :flowers: I always wanted to emphize the wonderful length of my stole but this wish made it more difficult to actually wear the stole. Copying @Redbirdhermes style and sticking to my first resolution on January 1, 2023 itself:

2nd resolution: Re-home those scarfs that are always left in the drawer because they are not me. This is very difficult for me. To let go. Hmmm. For once I am wishing for a scarf police… :giggle:
Love that fringed stole on you and glad to be of help on getting it out of your scarf drawer and around the neck. I, too, wish there were a way to safely show off the marvelous length. But, safety must come first when wearing cloth around the neck, particularly with these dangly bits. I think this is a good compromise.

Another resolution: STOP buying gavs! @FizzyWater and @bunnycat related amusing anecdotes about the unsatisfactory feeling of leaving the boutique/airport shop/flagship empty-handed. Lipsticks would be more budget-friendly, but too often, I ask to look in the gavroche drawer when I can't find something I hoped for and walk out with (an admittedly lovely) consolation prize. :girlshocked: at how many have multiplied in my scarf drawer over the years! So I am carefully now editing. However, the editing/curating does not necessarily mean fewer scarves. My true confessions example is that I rehomed two different Baobab Cat gavs because they were format placeholders for what I really wanted, which was this:

Gavs are indeed a consolation! And that sweet little something that satisfies, like a Godiva chocolate. I love my gavs and wear them alot. When I was in LHR in 2019 with little time to spare, I almost bought this gav because there was no real time to shop for a 90. But I was indecisive and waffled, even though it was the perfect lil souvenir. My regret was instantaneous, as I kicked myself down the aisle to my seat :bagslap:.
A few months later I bought it at Madison Ave by mail, and now it is indeed my sweet souvenir from my wonderful trip to England Autumn 2019 regardless that I bought it in my own home state. Archive shot with lovely glass scarf ring by desr @bunnycat.

Simply divine, Sammy :faint:. What a statement scarf!

I love this wonderful story every time you tell it. And, it is a beautiful little scarf as well. Get well, soon, dear Karenska.

Another New Year's Resolution: give each of my 12 or so "duplicates" equal time! I will usually purchase at least one design each season in two cws, usually contrasting light and dark to match my seasonal clothing options, when I feel they will be what I fondly call "outfit makers." Now I have about a dozen of these duplicates and I have given myself a strict resolution to justify my purchases! Here is my second cw of a much loved design: Laboratoire du Temps, in a green/gray/white cw that totally won my heart and is a good contrast to my brighter one (thumbnail mod shot below).

Ooooh, love the green one with the patterned shirt. And the burgundy with the trench.

Thank you @Coco2606, @Thelittlefoxes, @Living.la.vida.fifi, @Cookiefiend, @bunnycat and @Snausages for your comments and everyone for the likes-- it is hard not to love an ELeK! Looking forward to trying new pairing suggestions...

Oh, my goodness, terrible news @Karenska. I hope you will be able to update us later and sending best wishes for a speedy recovery and nothing broken! :hugs:

:roflmfao: @FizzyWater that is so funny but good news on the scarf front and excellent to hear your mom did so well. May she continue her recovery apace!

Wow! Look at this fabulosity @bunnycat-- love the center design peeking out among the swirls...

That is a specacular Pani le Shar @Living.la.vida.fifi and a beautiful pairing with your cobalt top!

A very very beautiful Feux du Ciel @laurenad! I just added this design last summer but mine is a fireworks cw! I also succumbed to Le Chat Carre in a very different cw. The comparison of the brushstrokes was made over on the seasonal thread and I think there's a more psychedelic, even a dreamy quality to the Sefedin while taking nothing away from Manlik. Definite similarities! Especially if you were choosing a close cw as you were considering. Of course as @Nomad points out, you do have cat anatomy to contend with as well...

And with a fabulous necklace, too, your neck is doubly dressed @Snausages...

Very much in agreement with @Maedi here. I continue to learn a lot from your thoughtful color analyses @Redbirdhermes...

If you fall in love all over again when you open the box, that right there is an argument against rehoming! A second argument would be this lovely mod shot @Coco2606 -- to be sure this is different from your trademark brights but it is lovely on you and has a place with your winter sweaters. But I bet it would look wonderful on white or lighter blue or green for summer as well. I say keep them all but it is good to look more critically as your collection grows... And yes, now I have an "earworm" for the day thanks to Clash!
Thank you, dear Lkb, and these two scarves are TDF! I think I see a Feux du Ciel on my horizon. Your cw is stunning and so is @laurenad ’s silver and calm beauty. Wowza!!
