You are most welcome @bunnycat! I am in total agreement with @laurenad that I would not have gotten LCC in a similar cw to my FdC BUT i do love the "Story Behind" of the little cat who mischievously got into his owner's scarf box and became as flat as the carre inside!

Yes, for me the CCP started because I ooohed and aaahed and fell in love with beautiful mod shots but more practically, it has been put to work as my hair has gone from brunette to grey (like many during the pandemic!) and my lifestyle has gone from active executive to retired freelancer. I love the classic designs so much but have much more room now for brighter, more whimsical scarves too... It is a curating process as I learn/see/discover ever more artists and a styling challenge/opportunity. And thank you for endorsing the hair color-- I have been grey since my late thirties and only recently embraced it!

"Temptation, thy name is Hermès." True Dat, as we say in NOLA! I am so relieved to hear that nothing is broken @Karenska and hope you feel relief soon. New scarves will definitely distract you as you recover!

I love everything about this post and mod-shot! You inspire me to go out and find a happy, bright, scarf-friendly flannel shirt @Nomad!

Thank you so much @Lellabelle!

This looks absolutely fabulous with denim-- great styling @Nhare.

If ever I need a color/style analysis I am going to come knocking on your door @Lellabelle! How generous and thoughtful

This is stunning @Thelittlefoxes -- as others have said, I'd be happy with just this amazing beauty but best of luck on your search!

All gorgeous @Stylehound and your mod shots are always so beautiful. A "signature" for you indeed as @Maedi noted.

 this is the perfect perfect justification and should immediately enter the TPF lexicon of phrases: "the family will benefit..."

Stunning @Awillow! I don't know where your Secret Fountain of Moussies is located, but it is a treasure trove! This is lovely-- a portrait in neutrals!

Oh, I am sorry you are under the weather (and a pile of blankets) but you sure look great in your scarf jewelry pairing. Feel better @Teaforparrots ...

Wow, @Snausages that is a beautiful green and I am amazed that you were able to wrangle all that fabric into a compact knot! I can only ever drape the one pareo I have but maybe you and @bunnycat are "pareo-whisperers"...And thank you for the compliment on the scarves! I have learned a lot from everyone here-- including you-- as I have collected/curated :flowers:

Thank you @Cookiefiend-- I wonder do you prefer the styling or the cw02 to cw11? Thank you for your opinion!

Thank you so much @Living.la.vida.fifi -- there are many many vibrant cws of the Feux du Ciel but when I replaced my gav of this I kept saying "blue border, blue border" and I finally found it! And the JQ I am thrilled about so :ty:

Oh this is such a great post! I love the Fantaisie d'Etriers design (when will get them in US in more colors!!!!) and this one is so so fabulous! Your outfit is utter perfection for the show you are going to see and I am delighted to be transported back to the Adrienne Arsht Center where I spent a delightful evening at the ballet last October. Lovely post!

This is inspired on the dark green top @Maedi-- it totally enhances the beautiful dark green in the foliage and the gorgeous silvery grey border. Is your anneau rose gold? It caught the light so nicely!

This may be a great idea for a theme week @Maedi-- I have been feeling glum about the fact that I have no signature knot, signature design or signature color -- such an interesting idea what one gravitates to and the reasons for it. In @Stylehound's case Robe Legere was a beautiful coup de foudre it seems and she has embraced it.

You have had a time of it, too, with illness @Lellabelle. I hope you feel better and can rejoin your silkie friends soon...

I am pretty sure that your first mod shot is the reason I have been on a two year long hunt for the maroon cw @momasaurus! What a fabulous collection of this engaging design... Everyone can just bookmark your post to refer back in their searches!
Honestly - it is the cw - it's gorgeous.
Resolution number 6: Work (a little) and learn (a lot).

This forum is incredible in its kindness and richness of exchange. I never imagined that it would be such a mine of good ideas, as much for clothing and jewellery combinations as for knotting. So here is a nice goal for 2023, to feed myself with your magnificent publications to really highlight the potential of scarves (and indirectly the coat rack).
Thank you again!
SOTD Selle de dignitaire first tied any way and then a little improved. I still have a long way to go but I will find some exceptional masters here !

Fantastic!
I think gray and orange are just fab together!
Thank you, @momasaurus , for that jaw dropping parade of gorgeous La Vie du Grand Nord scarves. Proof that I should not stop with just one colorway. Simply stunning.

I have been inspired by our dear @Cookiefiend to get a few more mousseline scarves. (Thank you, Cookie.) Three 140s entered the collection during 2022: Les Leopards, Etude Pour un Iris-Arc en Ciel, and Brides Rebelles.

My New Year’s resolution is to wear and enjoy my moussies, remembering that they aren’t just for summer.

My Scarf of the Day is Brides Rebelles mousseline.

oooooo congratulations!
I do love the moussies and they are absolutely year-round scarves... mine are for sure!
I think we are twins with this BR - I love it and it looks marvelous on you!

One good thing that has come from this week of resolutions is tracking. I have been resistant to it for almost 10 years now... (Mr Bcat will confirm I am really that stubborn) But after several of you mentioned it this week I decided to give it a go. So I made a list and had so much fun, I went back through 2 years of SOTD pics to see how consistent I am, instead of just 2022 as I had intended. I was surprised to find my wearing of 90cm scarves so consistent in both 2021 and 2022, and also my wearing of large formats and cashmere. So I set up another round to track 2023.

Yesterday, I managed a legit 2 scarf day. I wore Sweet Dreams 100cm when I went out walking in the cool morning. But I had to make beads and complete a special order yesterday, so I had to change to work clothes for awhile. Then later, I didn't feel like unboxing the wool again, so I opted for a throw and go Brazil giant DD to keep me snuggly in the afternoon and evening.

Also, I did not wear black yesterday. Win!!!

I ADORE that Iris on you @Redbirdhermes, it lights you up. Never let it go - it was made for you! The best colourway of this design, and sublime in a moussie. I am both deeply covetous, and very happy that it found its way to you!

Firstly, @Coco2606 , this is a great pairing with the perfect grey, and I think you’ve chosen two excellent knots to show the design while keeping that tangerine away from your face. A very polished and put together look! The necklace is a smart choice too; the warm gold adds some much needed warmth to the overall cool palette.

While I love the choice of grey, I can see why you find this scarf a little less exciting than your usual choices. The bright colours you love suit you so well, and even with the pop of orange this doesn't quite have your usual verve. I think you‘re right, it’s just very cool toned overall. Have you tried it with a top with more richness and/or warmth? A deep berry, or red-based purple perhaps? It would be great on turquoise, too, which I suspect would make this a showstopper on you!

I can see how this works well on white or linen in the summer (when the light is warmer too). It could also work on a greige, or warm caramel too, for a lighter look.

I love this CW for the little bits of rose. But I understand your search for alternatives! I have a few others. Maybe these pix will help: (I CLICKED THUMBNAIL - WHY ARE THE PIX SO BIG - SORRY!)

OMG, @momasaurus , you've got all of them! They're all in your home, that's why I've never found any in the resale market :graucho:
They're amazing. I love the way you tied them. And the blue one in the last picture is a dream :faint: . It perfectly matches the colors of the Great North  and the contrast with your dark top is lovely!

Also I forget how warm moussies are when wrapped around the neck 4 times!

Well, I am out of bed and celebrating with an inaugural wearing of a Point d’orgue CSGM that found its way to me last summer, and has not yet had an outing. It‘s just the cosy pop of lively contrasts I needed. Excuse the wrinkles: this navy shirt is looser than I remember and I‘m still in pj’s and slippers out of the frame! This really needs a red lip I think, and I have a blazer in a similar shade of red that I think would work too. Another day… ;)
