My two SOTDs…
First of all, Fantaisie d’Etriers for my facial this morning. Of course, it came off and then re-tied after I finished

Tonight, I am on my way to see the musical Aladdin, and I’m wearing the blue CW of Sieste au Paradis giant silk

What a stunning evening outfit! Your giant Sieste au Paradis and the matching jewelry is sure to turn heads tonight. Poor Aladdin Princess: she’s got serious competition!
Shine and enjoy the show !

Resolution 5: let it go!

I think I've found the perfect anthem for the cruel dilemmas of the sorting collector. If my scarves could talk, I'm sure they'd be singing the Clash lyrics... (And I'd rather have that tune in my head than the Snow Queen... sorry if I polluted your eardrums...)

Until recently, the idea of rehousing a scarf was unthinkable for me. Nevertheless, the recent inventory is positive in that it makes me take a step back. So does @momasaurus ' courageous approach.
Anyway, I first considered the "butterflies in the stomach" effect that absolutely defines the favourites. Instead of wondering who should go, I prefer to select those I want to cherish (I have a lot of love to give). Finally, here is the pile of "slightly less loved than the others". I'd love your opinion.

I have to say that once the boxes were opened, it was like the first day again!
So should they stay or should they go?
SOTD, which almost went in the pile of all dangers and then I remembered that it looks great on black and goes well with this mohair jumper.

Good day to all!

I would keep this dd. It's luminous and unique and flatters you. I have the greyish/taupe in this design and enjoy it.

“Should I Stay or Should I Go” is a wonderful theme song, @Coco2606 . Thank you for sharing. It nicely sums up my dilemma today.

It was two years ago, as I was sitting on a cold winter’s day in my lake cabin looking out at our lake all covered with ice fishing huts, that I found that La Vie du Grand Nord actually has ice fishermen on the scarf. I presume this is a unique feature to this particular Hermès design, as ice fishing is uncommon in most parts of the world. Anyway, I found and ordered this brown colorway on the spot.

Now, the brown colorway is not a favorite so I’m thinking of putting this scarf into the CCP. But first, I did a little research into what colors are available. I discovered a thread from 2010 devoted to this design, and it was so fun to read all the excited comments as various colorways appeared in boutiques around the world. It seems that the purple was a particular favorite, but the brown was beloved as well as it shows the animals in their more natural colors.

My resolution is to hunt for another colorway of La Vie du Grand Nord this year. Should the brown stay or should it go? I think I’ll have to wait and see.

La Vie du Grand Nord is my Scarf of the Day. This scarf about Life in the North is especially appropriate as we dig out of fifteen inches of snow today.

I like this color way a lot and would definitely not release until you have another bird in your hand.

Dear Scarfies, my xray results came back negative on fractures and I am so very grateful. But I’m still in alot of pain (snarky  here). Resting up and taking good care. Healing will be slow. I want to thank everyone for their heartfelt concern, good wishes and support. You all are so lovely, beautiful friends. I hope to be participating in a couple of days. Regarding this week’s theme, I don’t know how I can keep any resolutions that involve toning down the purchases . Right now I’m in love with several from the new season, contemplating a CSGT from last year, made my first purchase for 2023, A Real Deal :graucho: , and of course, there are the grails to look for . I’ve said it before but will say it again. Temptation, thy name is Hermès :girlshocked:.
I am so happy that nothing is broken. Give your body lots of rest.

Agh flannel not fleece. I swear the post covid brain fog or the meno brain fog or the older age brain fog…whatever it is the struggle is real  . Or let’s add another…. parenting older teens depleting my brain cells, so much worse than all other ages
I totally understand. Thank you for verbalizing. And beautiful ExLibris!

To reflect the CCP theme I am posting Robe Legere again. Sorry for repeating: it’s my only multiple! It’s also an example of the design’s Colour Correction-turned- Passion.
Multicoloured image on white background with yellow border gavroche was purchased first in the absence of the desired red cw; it was intended for CCP, but joined the family and stayed permanently because of its happy-go-lucky character: it easily matches almost every colour! With the cold& dark season settling the red cw came along and warmed my heart (and neck). And then the pink 90 carre took my breath away and added soft glitter to the Christmas tendresse.
The earlier posted images were of more formal wear.
This time, it’s new year’s casual wear at home:View attachment 5684166View attachment 5684167

And here is the “rose” Robe turning the hooded house-gown into an elegant robe and providing therapy on an after-vaccination day:View attachment 5684181
Robe Legere is a beautiful design, so feminine. All your cw are great choices.

All are so stunning, Stylehound. This is your signature design and looks fab on you in each format. I meant to comment on the now closed 2022 thread but was too late.

Thank you, I needed that today! The top is actually two different colors but that doesn’t show when you’re shivering under a pile of blankets on the couch! https://www.artfulhome.com/product/Knit-Top/Noelle-Tunic/172653
Sorry to hear you’re unwell, TFP. You look wonderful in your silk though, and the new earrings and necklace pair like a dream!

I've been sick this week too, with a bad reaction to an antibiotic yesterday that made for a horrible day. I’ve been wrapped in a heated blanket, instead of a scarf the last couple of days. Going to try for scarf or shawl tomorrow. Take care, everyone!

So, DD will stay. Thanks again for all your kind comments !
I had to take a minute to show how beautifully the shapes of my new necklace and earring set complement the patterns in my scarf! Both artists were inspired by some natural organic shapes.
Perfect. I really like the colours and indeed, there is a nice reminder of the shapes between the jewellery and the scarf. I would have to find one. I don't know why I didn't buy it before, because the design is superb (ah, scarf amnesia...). For me to leave this design, I must have had to make some painful choices that I preferred to erase from my memory...
You can rest easy, even if you feel a bit down, you look great! Good recovery !
The Surteint stays!
There will be no trouble (not even if you double!)
You must listen to what the Scarf Mistresses say
It should not be on the bubble
Ready for a band, you got the perfect lyrics ! "The Scarves" on tour !

This is exactly what I wanted to say to @Living.la.vida.fifi for her amazing outfit. Sieste is a trip to Arabian Nights all by itself and the necklace makes me think of the genie in the lamp!

Your jewellery is like a three dimensional extension of your scarf! A great design and I love the asymmetrical (?) necklace.

This shawl is extraordinary!
Thank you for your nice compliment! I saw it a couple of years ago on Mai Tai‘s blog and fell in love with it. It took me quite some time to find it but when it showed up on eBay I didn‘t have to think twice.

Your Sieste au Paradis is both vibrant and very elegant at the same time. Your jewellery collection is a marvel; you must have matching jewellery for any scarf in your vast collection! I hope you had a lovely night out and enjoyed the show.

I love this CW for the little bits of rose. But I understand your search for alternatives! I have a few others. Maybe these pix will help: (I CLICKED THUMBNAIL - WHY ARE THE PIX SO BIG - SORRY!)
