I am in total agreement with @laurenad that I would not have gotten LCC in a similar cw to my FdC BUT i do love the "Story Behind" of the little cat who mischievously got into his owner's scarf box and became as flat as the carre inside!Thank you LKB! And wow- thank y'all for the comparison of Chat Carre' and Feux de Ciel! I had never made a connection to the styling but can see there are some similarities, but the Chat Carre' you have is totally different vibe. Tied it almost reminds me of a mix of Sefdin, with some elements in layout of the Eskimo scarf from a couple of years ago, that I can't recall the name now.....
Well- if it goes there will be trouble. But if it stays it will be double.....I adore The Clash and BAD.
Yes, for me the CCP started because I ooohed and aaahed and fell in love with beautiful mod shots but more practically, it has been put to work as my hair has gone from brunette to grey (like many during the pandemic!) and my lifestyle has gone from active executive to retired freelancer. I love the classic designs so much but have much more room now for brighter, more whimsical scarves too... It is a curating process as I learn/see/discover ever more artists and a styling challenge/opportunity. And thank you for endorsing the hair color-- I have been grey since my late thirties and only recently embraced it!For a hot second, I thought you had increased to 3 (like me) but you have indeed been slightly more circumspect. I feel you on the changing color needs as time goes on...I'm there right about now and planning on doing some heavy thinking on some stuff. I actually adore your lighter hair shades now.

…okay. I‘m going with team “keep” for this one (a surteint?). That dusky blue is beautiful on you. It reminds me of the lovely Cavalcadours in a similar palette. It is lovely with the purple jumper and extra kudos for texture-matching: I think the soft on soft combo is actually part of why it works so harmoniously!
All your scarves above look like they’d be great on you. The Selle Dignitaire (?) might be a little more challenging with its cool grey and tangerine, but I recall there’s a lot going on in the middle of that design, which makes it quite different when styled. And if you get first day joy when you look at them, well that’s the biggest sign of all to keep!
I thought your experiment to find an equivalent for new-scarf temptation in your current wardrobe was inspired. If you find something that fills a similar niche but that you like better, then consider releasing the one you like less. But if they’re still bringing you new-scarf joy, I say keep

Another resolution: STOP buying gavs! @FizzyWater and @bunnycat related amusing anecdotes about the unsatisfactory feeling of leaving the boutique/airport shop/flagship empty-handed. Lipsticks would be more budget-friendly, but too often, I ask to look in the gavroche drawer when I can't find something I hoped for and walk out with (an admittedly lovely) consolation prize. at how many have multiplied in my scarf drawer over the years! So I am carefully now editing. However, the editing/curating does not necessarily mean fewer scarves. My true confessions example is that I rehomed two different Baobab Cat gavs because they were format placeholders for what I really wanted, which was this:

I am much more guilty of format placeholders than CCP placeholders. We are Baobab Cat Twins. I searched all over when the gav came out, thinking I would get that. They do take a bit of taming. I will try to put something in the "How to..." thread on how I do mine. Perfect! A very elegant look for that on the grey sweater.
