My SOTD is auditioning. She has not yet joined the cast of my Scarf Company. For one thing, she is waaaaaaay out of my comfort zone and she brings two difficult colors for me to the table. I have learned the hard way never to add a scarf where I am iffy about one color-- especially a prominent one. Love the aqua here but embracing the greens today to see how it goes... Lellabelle, this wedding is also a delayed one. It was supposed to happen October 2020. They did get married in the backyard last year, so I look forward to seeing how one navigates the wording of vows/etc... in that instance. I have known the groom since he was born, so we are happy to witness their joy.
Did you take this man…

No flipping today. Hopefully tomorrow. In the meantime here is Eperon d'Or.View attachment 5391478
Red and grey - swoon!!!!
Love the knot! The dark top really makes the pale green pop!
Good morning, from Scotland today - our meetings have started again, and it is wonderful to see colleagues in real life.
So yesterday saw a slight switch to my usual outfit for the trip, with the experiment of a yellow belt for Rendez-vous Rive Gauche. And for the first session on site, a surprise pairing of Ballet Aquatique. Today I need to think as I forgot the scarf I wanted to take. Need to practise travel scarf planning - before the Pandemic, I had considerably less scarves to choose from...View attachment 5391622View attachment 5391624
Another red and grey delight!
Today with Savana Dance, trying to reflect the colours of the scarf in my outfit.

Love the border on this and your outfits make it sing! And another pair of great earrings.
This grey and red is another delight!
Hi again all, I have had a long MIA but have now upgraded my phone and is able to read on by daily trip to work, so I have enjoied and liked alot. And of course been enabled, and tempted. Now into the pareo trap, thanks to @bunnycat and I am twins with her on my SOTD. Love it ! Thanks to all of you posting pictures, its very helpful and inspiring. Yay pareo!
Good day, dear ScarfLovers,
Just looking for some input here. Many of you know about my love affair with the Encadre GT. Well, this camel/gris chine/jaune cw, which I have admired, came my way for a decent price in a ‘new’ condition (laminated tag still attached) but lightly wrinkled instead of properly folded so typical of this particular online resale site. Grrrr!
I do love the colors and I have a couple of purses that would work with it but it is less versatile than my chocolat/blanc/rose and corail/naturale/cobalt cws, which are cws that work very well for me and for my wardrobe. What do you all think? Last pic is to show the wrinkles. Any thoughts how to gently smooth them out? My steamer is out - too hot and too wet. Original folds faded but I can find them and have folded it to the best of my ability. Any input is welcome and thank you.
View attachment 5391794View attachment 5391795View attachment 5391796
So elegant! If you fold it properly and put something a bit weighty on it (hahaha, a pile of folded scarves!) will the wrinkles flatten?
Le Grand Prix du Faubourg is another design that I purchased in a colorway that I probably wouldn't have chosen had I been given more choices. It is in these purple hues.

Recently I purchased another colorway that is probably my favorite of all.

I'll save my new scarf for tomorrow's explorations, and try some flips on the purple for today.

Looking through the archives I find that I've worn this scarf with dark purple as well as the medium green that is sprinkled throughout the design.

View attachment 5391565View attachment 5391566

I also tried it with yesterday's blue top.

View attachment 5391567

I think these colors all work, but upon closer inspection I see pale rose, yellow and lavender in what I had written off as a boring monotone scarf. Let's see how this lavender-gray and creamy white tops work today.

Stunning g with they lavender-gray!

Oh my goodness it’s beautiful! Love how it goes with so many other colors!
I tried my La Selle Imaginaire with a few different colour t.shirts. I would never have chosen the grey to wear with this scarf, but it turned out to be a winner !!.

I love a good chameleon scarf! It looks so different in each knot and all the tops are great pairings

I love this new colorway. That medium brown is absolutely gorgeous, and not boring at all. I did some quick Karenska Encadre research, and I can see that this scarf lacks the punch of the coral, or the richness of the deep chocolate, but I think it would also work with your outfits. It reminds me of a pair of fine brown leather boots or coat that can be worn with anything. And, I love having a choice, and this beauty adds to your options.
Ah, thank you so kindly, RBH, I really appreciate your weighing in. It’s a beautiful brown - called camel but more caramel. Moving closer to keeper, thanks to your input. And thank you for looking up my other cws; I probably should have included mod shots of them in my post. Hugs. ❤️

I never hesitate to do a light spray of water ( I keep a spray bottle just for H) followed by the iron set on silk setting. You don't need to push the iron hard, just let it glide gently and let the steam that results do the job. This shawl is very elegant in its simplicity.
Thank you, French girl, I am grateful for the suggestion and input. :hugs:
Needle moving right…..

Oh my goodness, I just LOVE the purple, Redbirdhermes! I love GPdF and haven’t seen this colourway before; what a lucky score. Gorgeous with the lavender pearl, too

Dear Karenska, thank you! Will try with the mod shots. So funny you should mention Acte III, which I have in the bleu CW as well. Having one blue scarf NEVER EVER deters me from getting another! My collection is mostly an ode to all the beautiful H blues...
Ha, ha, I agree, and have many blue scarves, but because this was a CSGM, which I don’t wear as much, I opted out of your cw, which is stunning, BTW.

Thank you @Redbirdhermes! I took your advice when we went out-- not to a concert but a Peruvian place for an al fresco dinner!

Just a gorgeous all around look @Thelittlefoxes!

Thank you sweet @bunnycat!

What a beautiful Kantha @essiedub -- and the coordination with your pants is perfect!

Thank you so much @Nomad! I am 100% happy with both choices this season!

Thank you @Marie-the-Mary-- as you know learning knots kept me occupied during the pandemic. I like both those options, too!

Thank you @Thelittlefoxes-- mousselines are perfect for the New Orleans climate but let's face it. They are perfect, period.

Thank you @EtsyBoss-- like their long sleeved cousins, they are great for scarves...

It gives me such joy to see your delight with yoour scarves @hikarupanda!

Oh, gosh, I am just in love with this whole ensemble @frenchgirl! I think I am joining a very loud chorus of approval! I hope you have a marvelous time.

Well! I have always loved your pairing with the greens but that soft pink has stolen my heart today @Snausages! (and :ty: :hugs: )

Beautiful on you @cakeymakeybakey -- congratulations on your new addition... ( I almost typed addiction-- and that would not be wrong in this forum!).

This red and grey together is so surprising and chic @Awillow! And thank you for all your nice remarks.

I love this pink Grand Tralala @Maedi-- it was a close contender that I kept until the 29th possible day of the return window! It's sister cream and pink and blue was my final choice but it was not easy. It looks lovely with your coloring. And thank you, I do like some JCrew tops as the perfect base for scarves and nice colors, too!

Wonderful to pick up the yellow with the belt @Agrume! And smiling ruefully in recognition at the pandemic purchase volume increase in scarves!

I am entranced by your lilac sweater jacket @Thelittlefoxes-- it is the perfect background for your perfect scarf! And of course, your earrings!

What can I do but sigh :girlsigh: @Awillow? Lovely. Covetable. Perfect.

Lovely @Pirula -- a wish list design for me and wonderful stylings as always!

So wonderful to see you back here @irmapusen and looking so lovely in your new pareo! That is the same artist who did last season's Les Douze Leopards and her cat faces are irresistible! Enjoy your new fun beauty!

It is very pretty and quiet @Karenska-- I would follow @frenchgil's advice if I were a brave soul.

 I agree with you @frenchgirl! I once counted and 65% of my scarf collection fell into some range of blue! Lately I am "stepping out" with other colors while blue patiently waits my color crushes out, knowing I will always be faithful, even if temporarily distracted...
Thank you, dear Lkbnola. Yes, we “Bleu Peuple” can’t resist another addition to the blue drawer.

I am so happy to be able to use Megaquote again, after changing from iPad to Macbook
So here we go!
Thank you, KL, and you are spot on with this - perfection first with your top, then with your coat and bag. This combination of orange and blue tones is so very H and beautiful.
Thank you, Agrume! I don't know, why I didn't have this idea earlier! Orange and blue really is H!

Here is my SOTD. I was pondering some time which scarf to wear with this striped shirt. The answer, when it dawned on me, should have been obvious from the start.
And, as you see, it was raining today. I don't have umbrellas to coordinate, and I am afraid they usually do not last long with the strong winds we sometimes have with rain, so I am always glad to find one still intact.
Perfect, dear Agrume! And the thought of matching umbrellas to the scarves really made me smile!

What an amazing change in the scarf with the flip to a different clothing base. Beautiful! (And you are so welcome!)
Thank you, dear bunnycat!

Just in the nick of time for a cool, rainy and breezy day here and just enough for an excuse to drag out a cashmere.
My NTM Fleurs et Papillons de Tissues CSGM in one of the 2 color ways I had a low key search for over the past few years.
Here on a nude and black striped shirt that brings out some of the soft pink details it has.

And in full drama mode (how I went outside) with a lightweight black jacket. The jacket is very flown and has drapey assymetric ends that swing like a cape. I call it my "Professor Snape" jacket... I think on black, it tends to make the red parts really stand out as RED.

Fleurs et papillons is a real beauty! You are looking gorgeous in this CW! I am thinking about buying it too, because I really like the triangle format. But this CW is not available online for my country. And imo it is the most desirable ;)

Such a great combination. Love seeing the whole outfit. So well put together. And the scarf has different colors highlighted in each pic.
Thank you kindly, dear Nomad!

This cw of Grand Théâtre Nouveau is challenging to combine for me. It works with grey, navy and black.
Beautiful, dear Maedi!

Today’s SOTD is Baobab Cat. I have been busy with work and need to catch up here, but these bright colors cheered up a Monday!

I am swooning, dear @citykitty24! This is the most beautiful CW of Baobab Cat, and so perfect with your outfit!
This is brilliant! Bravo! So inspiring and soothing to the eyes.
Thank you so much, dear Maedi! I am blushing

Hi Lkb :hugs:. “My scarf is auditioning“. So true about those on-the-fence acquisitions.
Well, it is gorgeous with stunning colors. And such a bold design. I love how you tied it with the acqua top, subduing the royal purple. I like it with the light yellow top, too. Maybe a darker green top?
