I saw forever orange’s wild singapore and wanted to show the same change with the scarf based on top color. Purple top is archive and today I just threw on the orange sweater to show the change.

sotd is Flowers of South Africa on this cold rainy day. I tried to highlight the white with my tie and my top. I actually thought of @Snausages bright green cardi so I could see if it pulled out the green in the scarf. But I own only 1 green top and it’s teal/sage Which wouldn’t work.

It is so great how you could highlight the different colors! I love it!

This week's theme has given me the opportunity to go through my resting scarves pile. I pulled out Donner la Main which has been overlooked for way too many years! Love the sentiment of this design.

Going for my fav pattern on pattern, I would wear it with this Liberty print shirt.

Accessorizing with a Longchamp Eiffel Tower bag.

View attachment 5390160

Who doesn't have a denim jacket in their wardrobe!

View attachment 5390161

And for a touch of brightness a green background top.

View attachment 5390165
A wonderful theme! And it looks so beautiful combined with your different tops.

Today is King's Day, our national holiday, and something orange is a must (also for google and for our weather forecast). We went out very early to stroll over the giant flea market Amsterdam has changed into over night. The orange in the scarf paired with about everyone/thing around us.

This is called a tompouce, and it is the thing to eat on King's Day (best done at home though, as it is rather awkward to deal with).

Because we live near to the Netherland´s border, we always read in our daily newspaper about the festivities. And we were happy for all of you to be able to celebrate again after Covid had stopped everything! Gorgeous scarf, gorgeous cakes and gorgeous decoration dear @Agrume! :hugs:

Perfect harmony!

Wonderful! I love the combination with your cute blue jacket!

Today with Savana Dance, trying to reflect the colours of the scarf in my outfit.

Splendid, Thelittlefoxes! The combination with the pale lilac is made in heaven (and for this cw, which I rehomed - second thoughts now, but pale lilac is one of the colours I cannot wear).

Oh, agrume! I adore this Ballet Aquatique. It is a scarf I have passed on before because I wasnt sure of the cw for me, but this one is a knockout! (Great sweater too.) Enjoy Scotland!!!

Beautiful, little foxes! I love this elegant neutral border with the peek of red!
Thank you so much, Awillow! I would have preferred the blue/white/red cw, but this one was second on my list, and they are so difficult to find...

Agrume, you look chic and stylish, that belt just pops with the scarf. And BA looks great with that beautiful, neutral sweater. Yes, traveling with which scarves to take is so much harder because many of our collections have grown during this time of pandemic. 2020 was a banner year for me, I’ll tell you. Enjoy Scotland!
Thank you, dear Karenska!

awe my last travel before covid was Scotland. Enjoy! And I love both looks. Pop of yellow is great, and BA and grey, wow! It pulls from the scarf so well

Awesome looks! Those swirls are the ends :faint:
Thank you, Nomad!

Gorgeous, and I love your off centre knot!

This scarf pairs with anything, and I cannot decide on a favourite, and perfect colours for you, Pirula!

Hi again all, I have had a long MIA but have now upgraded my phone and is able to read on by daily trip to work, so I have enjoied and liked alot. And of course been enabled, and tempted. Now into the pareo trap, thanks to @bunnycat and I am twins with her on my SOTD. Love it ! Thanks to all of you posting pictures, its very helpful and inspiring. Jin et Leo Pareo:View attachment 5391788View attachment 5391789
Great pareos indeed!

Good day, dear ScarfLovers,
Just looking for some input here. Many of you know about my love affair with the Encadre GT. Well, this camel/gris chine/jaune cw, which I have admired, came my way for a decent price in a ‘new’ condition (laminated tag still attached) but lightly wrinkled instead of properly folded so typical of this particular online resale site. Grrrr!
I do love the colors and I have a couple of purses that would work with it but it is less versatile than my chocolat/blanc/rose and corail/naturale/cobalt cws, which are cws that work very well for me and for my wardrobe. What do you all think? Last pic is to show the wrinkles. Any thoughts how to gently smooth them out? My steamer is out - too hot and too wet. Original folds faded but I can find them and have folded it to the best of my ability. Any input is welcome and thank you.

Love the camel and the yellow hem. I have a self-programming steam iron, and this works perfect for all my scarves, silk blouses, merino pullovers...

Le Grand Prix du Faubourg is another design that I purchased in a colorway that I probably wouldn't have chosen had I been given more choices. It is in these purple hues.

View attachment 5391563

Recently I purchased another colorway that is probably my favorite of all.

View attachment 5391564

I'll save my new scarf for tomorrow's explorations, and try some flips on the purple for today.

Looking through the archives I find that I've worn this scarf with dark purple as well as the medium green that is sprinkled throughout the design.

View attachment 5391565View attachment 5391566

I also tried it with yesterday's blue top.

View attachment 5391567

I think these colors all work, but upon closer inspection I see pale rose, yellow and lavender in what I had written off as a boring monotone scarf. Let's see how this lavender-gray and creamy white tops work today.

View attachment 5391791View attachment 5391793

The lavender-gray.

View attachment 5391831

And, the creamy white.

View attachment 5391832

I'm wearing the lavender-gray for today, but I'm going to keep this scarf in mind for the creamy white in the future.
I love it with the blue top - and love the blue hem, of course!

My SOTD is auditioning. She has not yet joined the cast of my Scarf Company. For one thing, she is waaaaaaay out of my comfort zone and she brings two difficult colors for me to the table. I have learned the hard way never to add a scarf where I am iffy about one color-- especially a prominent one. Love the aqua here but embracing the greens today to see how it goes... I understand, I would find this one difficult to pair, too, LKBNOLA! Perhaps the light green?

I tried my La Selle Imaginaire with a few different colour t.shirts. I would never have chosen the grey to wear with this scarf, but it turned out to be a winner !!.

They are all beautiful, hot galaxy! Grey and white are my favourites.

Red and grey - swoon!!!!

Love the knot! The dark top really makes the pale green pop!

Another red and grey delight!

Love the border on this and your outfits make it sing! And another pair of great earrings.

This grey and red is another delight!

Yay pareo!

So elegant! If you fold it properly and put something a bit weighty on it (hahaha, a pile of folded scarves!) will the wrinkles flatten?

Stunning g with they lavender-gray!

Oh my goodness it’s beautiful! Love how it goes with so many other colors!

I love a good chameleon scarf! It looks so different in each knot and all the tops are great pairings
Thank you, Snausages! :flowers:

I am so happy to be able to use Megaquote again, after changing from iPad to Macbook
So here we go!

Thank you, Agrume! I don't know, why I didn't have this idea earlier! Orange and blue really is H!

Perfect, dear Agrume! And the thought of matching umbrellas to the scarves really made me smile!

Thank you, dear bunnycat!

Fleurs et papillons is a real beauty! You are looking gorgeous in this CW! I am thinking about buying it too, because I really like the triangle format. But this CW is not available online for my country. And imo it is the most desirable ;)

Thank you kindly, dear Nomad!

Beautiful, dear Maedi!

I am swooning, dear @citykitty24! This is the most beautiful CW of Baobab Cat, and so perfect with your outfit!

Thank you so much, dear Maedi! I am blushing
It will be perfect for summer, but I have to say, I also really love it with your darker green sweater

Beautiful dear @laurenad! Perfect soft colored harmony!

I love both combinations, but like you I prefer the pink one.

Beautiful, dear @Lellabelle! This really is one of those scarves, that go with everything!

Gorgeous! And especially beautiful with your lapis!
It is so great how you could highlight the different colors! I love it!

Thank you, dear Katharina Luise, for your kind compliments - and you should come to the NL on King's Day, the sphere is lovely, especially in the mornings, very unusual for a national holiday. :flowers:

Thank you @Redbirdhermes! I took your advice when we went out-- not to a concert but a Peruvian place for an al fresco dinner!

Just a gorgeous all around look @Thelittlefoxes!

Thank you sweet @bunnycat!

What a beautiful Kantha @essiedub -- and the coordination with your pants is perfect!

Thank you so much @Nomad! I am 100% happy with both choices this season!

Thank you @Marie-the-Mary-- as you know learning knots kept me occupied during the pandemic. I like both those options, too!

Thank you @Thelittlefoxes-- mousselines are perfect for the New Orleans climate but let's face it. They are perfect, period.

Thank you @EtsyBoss-- like their long sleeved cousins, they are great for scarves...

It gives me such joy to see your delight with yoour scarves @hikarupanda!

Oh, gosh, I am just in love with this whole ensemble @frenchgirl! I think I am joining a very loud chorus of approval! I hope you have a marvelous time.

Well! I have always loved your pairing with the greens but that soft pink has stolen my heart today @Snausages! (and :ty: :hugs: )

Beautiful on you @cakeymakeybakey -- congratulations on your new addition... ( I almost typed addiction-- and that would not be wrong in this forum!).

This red and grey together is so surprising and chic @Awillow! And thank you for all your nice remarks.

I love this pink Grand Tralala @Maedi-- it was a close contender that I kept until the 29th possible day of the return window! It's sister cream and pink and blue was my final choice but it was not easy. It looks lovely with your coloring. And thank you, I do like some JCrew tops as the perfect base for scarves and nice colors, too!

Wonderful to pick up the yellow with the belt @Agrume! And smiling ruefully in recognition at the pandemic purchase volume increase in scarves!

I am entranced by your lilac sweater jacket @Thelittlefoxes-- it is the perfect background for your perfect scarf! And of course, your earrings!

What can I do but sigh :girlsigh: @Awillow? Lovely. Covetable. Perfect.

Lovely @Pirula -- a wish list design for me and wonderful stylings as always!

So wonderful to see you back here @irmapusen and looking so lovely in your new pareo! That is the same artist who did last season's Les Douze Leopards and her cat faces are irresistible! Enjoy your new fun beauty!

It is very pretty and quiet @Karenska-- I would follow @frenchgil's advice if I were a brave soul.

 I agree with you @frenchgirl! I once counted and 65% of my scarf collection fell into some range of blue! Lately I am "stepping out" with other colors while blue patiently waits my color crushes out, knowing I will always be faithful, even if temporarily distracted...
Thank you, LKBNOLA!

Just a regular iron will do the trick. No need for steam.

These are nice and definitely doable- but the second set with the olive deep green and turquoise are fantastic. These are midtown colors and this scarf needs more contrast.

I tried my La Selle Imaginaire with a few different colour t.shirts. I would never have chosen the grey to wear with this scarf, but it turned out to be a winner !!.

I am swooning, dear @citykitty24! This is the most beautiful CW of Baobab Cat, and so perfect with your outfit!

Thank you so much, dear Maedi! I am blushing

Thank you kindly! This FetPdeT is a CSGM rectangle. I considered the triangle, had hoped they's do a strong color. Loved the popular pink, purple and brown one, but felt I was already in that ballpark with my pink and black ZP. And I love the old 65/35 cashmeres, so when this black and red FetPdeT came up, I went ahead and got it. I did really want a triangle though. The colors this season just didn't work for me. And the designs they have chosen for next season don't do anything for me...so if they are still around next year, maybe I'll get another chance.

Audition call back. Thank you all for the feedback/suggestions:
