I am following Sammy with my two moussies acquired this year. ?Rusty copper/burgundy? degrade changeant and aux portes des palais changeant. I rehomed 2 changeants this year as I had two with similar colors and had to pick a fav and portes won. And the other just wasn’t my color even tho gorgeous. Never in my life did I think I would rehome a changeant .

Both gorgeous, but that copper/dusky purple changeant is a knockout on you. Love the earrings with it!

Two very special scarves this year, are the LE Voitures Exquises (brought home for me by a friend who was in England at the time), and a very special scarf with the passing of HRH Queen Elizabeth shortly after.

The Marble Silk Brides de Gala was purchased in Paris - so is doubly special to me.

Today’s scarf is the last purchase this year - a wabi-sabi Fleurs Et Papillions de Tissus in the delightful fuchsia!

For me 2022 was also a year of exploring the larger formats. I fell hard for the CSGM and the CSGT in FW 2021, buying my first ones in the boutique and then acquiring my grail Parures at the end of last year. This year I decided that I wanted to anchor my small (but growing) CSGM collection with four older designs and I was lucky to find them for retail or under and in excellent condition. I wear these at night for the most part so I apologize for the lighting in my photos.

The first one two show is a grail that I found surprisingly one morning surfing my usual sites. I really rushed to put it into the bin and push buy La Vie du Grand Nord as a big moussie. The best design of FW22, IMO… Such a stunning CW and simply amazing worn with the black top and candy pink jacket!

And like LKBNOLA I began to collect CSGMs this year. So I went from owning one to owning four. Plus two big scarves in wool/silk mix. Plus a cashmere losange.

Thank you, Fifi. Since my daily outfits are so much more dressed down now, the smaller formats, including the bandanas, are often my go-to silks for casual accessorizing.
The Santa pin is sterling and enamel and is by Nicole Barr. This piece is what I believe is hard-fired enamel. The other piece that I have by her studio is a “plique a jour” dragonfly pin. It’s like stained glass.

Here are two more favorites that entered my collection during 2022. The first is the Limited Edition of La Vie Sauvage du Texas named for Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Conservation. I was especially delighted with the birds and wildflowers bordering the central animal drawing. A Kermit Oliver is always a special add to the scarf collection.

But the design that surprised me with how it captured my heart is Le Jeu des Petits Bonheurs. I have a soft spot for gaming scarves to begin with, but the little vignettes were a delight.

I actually stayed on my ban pretty well on those haha. I did rehome about 12 of both of those though this year. I just wasn’t using them enough. I think I have a pile that is real love now. I am struggling though on my ban because I really love the faubourg tropical detail gav in purples and pinks.

I decided to do a collage. It was a year of manyyyy grails for me! It was also the year of purple. First row: tous les bateaux, potager extraordinaire, sieste au paradis ( has some moody purple-like in center)- all three grails long searched for close to retail. Second row: ailes de soie, astrologie nouvelle, Jaguar quetzal. Third row: Ballet aquatique ( purchased 4 cw’s before finding my fav), Appaloosa des steppes, on a summers day.

I wish I knew where were were, but I am so behind, I can't catch up and need to prepare myself for the next round of themes. So, while I am feeling better, and felt well enough today to put on some makeup. I still have a couple of pics from the last couple of days of no make up, and feeling it too...Sadly, I did have to go out yesterday for groceries (masked of course) but that wore me out entirely.

Today I am wearing the third and final of my Chorus Stellarum, which is indeed one of my favorite purchases of this year (all three that is.. )

Wow Cookie! I’ve not seen the 90 Papilliones in Fuchsia and am in love. I have this color in the CSGM but it‘s definitely not as vibrant. That white hem is icing on the cake.
