Thank you
@Katharina Luise,
@Pirula,
@Karenska,
@bunnycat,
@Croisette7,
@Snausages,
@Nomad,
@Living.la.vida.fifi and
@MAGJES for your kind remarks. I have each and every one of you to thank for your own beautiful mod shots, enablement and inspiration which helped me in my search and planning. Some of you mentioned a fave-- but for me, the favorite is whichever one I am wearing! I think that means they are all good choices, right?
En liberté : On the Move! What a nice name for this scarf that has seduced many of you this year. After trying on several colours, this is the one that went with me. This happy band of doggies gives me a lot of energy

This is beautiful on you and that hem with that coat is perfection
@Coco2606 -- and yes, I fell to its charms twice over, as any dog lover must!
And like LKBNOLA I began to collect CSGMs this year. So I went from owning one to owning four. Plus two big scarves in wool/silk mix. Plus a cashmere losange.
My CSGMs: Balade en Berline, Brins d‘Or and Sangles en Zigzag

I am so happy to "meet" you four beautiful CSGMs
@Katharina Luise! Funny how they multiply...
Thank you, Fifi. Since my daily outfits are so much more dressed down now, the smaller formats, including the bandanas, are often my go-to silks for casual accessorizing.
The Santa pin is sterling and enamel and is by Nicole Barr. This piece is what I believe is hard-fired enamel. The other piece that I have by her studio is a “plique a jour” dragonfly pin. It’s like stained glass.

Beautiful and I so enjoyed exploring her website. Thank you for this
@Karenska!
And last but not least for 2022, my Christmas gift from the boys. I’ve worn it twice already!

The new season is out and that’s very exciting, but it’s going to have to wait for the new year. I wasn’t nearly as “good” as I thought I’d been this year! Lol.
Your Flaneries a Versailles and your Gene Kelly gift are both wonderful additions
@Pirula!
My three CSGTs that I purchased this year - Encadre, Zebra Pegasus and Bouquets Selliers.

All beautiful additions to your collection and beautiful on you-- especially love your two triangles
@Karenska.
Just love this last week of the year in this wonderful thread!! Thank you for all the lovely eye candy so far!! ❤️ - My first and my last shawl this year have been CSGMs: FT came as an unexpected love at first sight into my life and Cosmographia in a CW that I missed out at the time of release. One of my CSGM grails also joined lucky me recently: Imprimeur Fou Charabia!

I am, unfortunately, working this week but I will try to post further treasures these next few days…

Oh, congratulations on your 2022 grail additions
@Sammy Royal. They look wonderful on you-- almost as wonderful as your joyful smile! I have to say that you were the first on TPF to make me look at Faubourg Tropical in that cw and I am delighted to be your twin.
Here are two more favorites that entered my collection during 2022. The first is the Limited Edition of La Vie Sauvage du Texas named for Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Conservation. I was especially delighted with the birds and wildflowers bordering the central animal drawing. A Kermit Oliver is always a special add to the scarf collection.

But the design that surprised me with how it captured my heart is Le Jeu des Petits Bonheurs. I have a soft spot for gaming scarves to begin with, but the little vignettes were a delight.

This beauty has a permanent place in my rotation for Mother's Day. I tied it today showing the four-year-old blowing out the candles on her birthday cake.

Both of these are so very special in their own ways. I can only aspire to join you in acquiring the first but the Jeu de Petits Bonheurs is a sweet scarf that is on my wish list because of your post earlier this year. It looks marvelous just the way you have tied it and the vignettes are beyond tender. Thank you for this lovely post
@Redbirdhermes.
Okay, just quickly…

My two moussie grails this year: The very special Splendeurs des Maharajas and the heavely Nuees Imaginaires… Had been hunting for these two for many, many years:

Oh my! Worth every minute of the hunt
@Sammy Royal!
I am following Sammy with my two moussies acquired this year. ?Rusty copper/burgundy? degrade changeant and aux portes des palais changeant. I rehomed 2 changeants this year as I had two with similar colors and had to pick a fav and portes won. And the other just wasn’t my color even tho gorgeous. Never in my life did I think I would rehome a changeant

Breathtaking
@Nomad. No words.
Two very special scarves this year, are the LE Voitures Exquises (brought home for me by a friend who was in England at the time), and a very special scarf with the passing of HRH Queen Elizabeth shortly after.
View attachment 5678993
The Marble Silk Brides de Gala was purchased in Paris - so is doubly special to me.
View attachment 5678992
Today’s scarf is the last purchase this year - a wabi-sabi Fleurs Et Papillions de Tissus in the delightful fuchsia!
View attachment 5678994
I love all three
@Cookiefiend. Your story of your acquisition of Voitures Exquises is one for the annals of Scarf History! And I am so envious that you acquired the lovely marble scarf in Paris! Icing on the cake.
Sister with you, savana dance Wash Pink and yellow, and a 90 Wash blue. I could have this design in every formats and colors...

Beautiful both
@Coco2606. I am sisters on the Wash blue and love mine.
Today I wore one of my Xmas presents from MrBcat- Lazy Leopardesses- to the boutqiue for a "look see" on new scarves. I can't believe I dilly dallied so long on adding this one on. It's perfect and I've already had it on several times since Sunday. It's so easy to wear in this bronze-y khaki shade with casual things.

I did not com away empty handed at the boutique, either. I was not really intending to add this one on just yet. It was farther down my list than some of the others I am looking for, but could not turn away from it. (I did try at least once to leave it behind...) But, since I have not paid MrBcat back for this yet, I guess it really should go in my 2023 "file". This is the Cheval Vague cashmere triangle, by Gianpaolo Pagni.

This Cheval Vague is beautiful-- I love Pagni's graphic style and this seems like such a perfect mix of shape and form and color. Congratulations on both your new acquisitions
@bunnycat. I believe we are twins on Lazy Leopardesses-- I succumbed to the noir and the khaki and both are among my most worn silks.
Thank you dear scarfies for another lovely year. I've so enjoyed being part of this great crew. Although my seasons are reversed here in Australia I love seeing everyone's contributions, and the comraderie we share in our love of silks. My year started by adding a second Eleftheria. This one is really special to me as I had attempted to purchase it several times. And sorry to repeat the story, but I eventually found one late at night after a few beverages with friends. Unfortunately I was on the Austrian site, not the Australian site, I don't know how it happened but my payment went through and subsequently I had Hermes looking all over Austria for my package. It was resolved and cancelled. Luckily the scarf became available on NYE 2021, so I pulled the trigger and received my first scarf of 2022. I had resolved to build a small curated collection of scarves I would wear frequently. That resolution went out the window pretty quickly. First was Eleftheria followed by Marble silk Brides de Gala, Selle Imaginaire, Selle Imaginaire dossard, Grand Theatre Nouveau CSGM, Lanterns Ballons & Cocrdes, Tied up in knots and finally Sur mon nuage. So, at the conclusion of this year. I have decided that even though I have added more scarves, I still feel very happy with my "smallish" curated collection. Wishing you all Health and happiness in 2023.

Ah, I love your recap
@hotgalaxy! We are twins a few times over but you always make the perfect selections-- so much so that the cw seems truly made for you! Now I want to know what is on your new season list! On to 2023...
