For me 2022 was also a year of exploring the larger formats. I fell hard for the CSGM and the CSGT in FW 2021, buying my first ones in the boutique and then acquiring my grail Parures at the end of last year. This year I decided that I wanted to anchor my small (but growing) CSGM collection with four older designs and I was lucky to find them for retail or under and in excellent condition. I wear these at night for the most part so I apologize for the lighting in my photos.

Acte III in my grail cw15 (twins with many many here) and special for coming to me from a TPF friend. Here on its way to the Miami Ballet season premiere of Romeo and Juliet!

Here is a collection that promises to be splendid! The colours are very different and the designs are superb. Great choices! At first I naively thought that I would be happy with one shawl that would go with everything (the tiger in white, black and grey) but it put a spell on me and others came to join it!

Today I'm modeling two scarves that I was thrilled to be able to add to my collection during 2022.

First, the yellow Space Derby. I already have the navy blue Space Derby, and it is staying in the collection. I rehomed my pink Space Derby early in 2022, so I guess acquiring the yellow makes this a part of a CCP. The variegation of the colors and the number of colors in the hem vary considerably with this design, and the yellow is one of the most stunning. Which I noticed when I saw @Living.la.vida.fifi model hers, and thus it went onto my wishlist.

I thought that Dans un Jardin Anglais was forever out of reach, but never say never. When this beauty arrived in the mail I finally understood why this design is so coveted. All the colorways are gorgeous. Hermes got it right with this scarf.

The hem on your new Space Derby is beyond, @Redbirdhermes and your stunning DuJa gives me hope that this one is still out there waiting for me! Congratulations on both. They are stunning.
Wow, what amazing 2022 acquisitions so far.

SOTD faubourg party, when you live in DC Metro occasionally you get to do neat things like volunteer at the White House, just me hanging out with some First Ladies.

..my niece asked me the other day why I take so many selfies, I told her I’m getting the slide show ready for my eventual funeral.

 @Iflola--please don't even mention your eventual funeral even in jest or you will break my heart. Your periodic selfies and sacrves on site are occasions of joy to your friends here. Those ladies are in good company with you hanging around!
Today I share some favorite acquisitions from fairly recent collections…
The amazing double-sided Clair de Lune

Though I had purchased the black CW of Duo Cosmique last year, I received the beautiful pink CW as a Mother’s Day gift this year
View attachment 5678745

And, two favorite Kermit Oliver designs entered my collection this year. The first was this Kachinas giant triangle. Though I already own two other CWs, I always regretted not getting this one and was thrilled that it finally came my way
View attachment 5678748

The second Kermit Oliver was this Pani la Shar Pawnee wash scarf

And, finally, I added this beauty in a new-to-me format: Equateur maxi twilly cut
View attachment 5678747
Beautiful @Living.la.vida.fifi! These are recent so I can be very happy that we are twins on Duo Cosmique and the lovely Equateur Maxi-Twilly cut. Sisters on Claire de Lune (which you have tied so beautifully) and I am pretty sure you were the inspo for my recent GT Kachinas purchase (as with many more!) And thank you for your nice comments on my De Passage "set"...
The first one two show is a grail that I found surprisingly one morning surfing my usual sites. I really rushed to put it into the bin and push buy  La Vie du Grand Nord as a big moussie. I didn’t even know something like this existed. And two weeks later I found a matching Lift necklace. The Hapi I had in my collection before View attachment 5678841View attachment 5678842
OMG-- what a find @Katharina Luise -- I did not know it came in mousseline but how perfect! And your Lift is giving me serious envy-- I would love to find a blue one like this. What a perfect match...

Thank you @Coco2606 -- I too started out with a neutral and then quickly realized that one would never be enough. I am happy that these are all so different as I like having the options to match up my evening wear and if not my clothes, my moods are enhanced by these beauties too! I know you have added some beauties since your Tyger Tyger...

Thank you so much for posting these… I love Russian lacquer pins and this one is so special! And, the Santa brooch is delightful… Is it signed Art or AAI?
This design works so beautifully as a twilly
All so fabulous and I especially love the bandannas on you
Thank you, Fifi. Since my daily outfits are so much more dressed down now, the smaller formats, including the bandanas, are often my go-to silks for casual accessorizing.
The Santa pin is sterling and enamel and is by Nicole Barr. This piece is what I believe is hard-fired enamel. The other piece that I have by her studio is a “plique a jour” dragonfly pin. It’s like stained glass.

This is lovely, Katharina. I did not know LVdGN had been issued as a moussie - it’s gorgeous! Love the pendant, too. If your Behapi is a double tour, then we are twins!

Oh this is lovely…..
En liberté : On the Move! What a nice name for this scarf that has seduced many of you this year. After trying on several colours, this is the one that went with me. This happy band of doggies gives me a lot of energy

Twins! Fabulous with pink! I must remember this.
And like LKBNOLA I began to collect CSGMs this year. So I went from owning one to owning four. Plus two big scarves in wool/silk mix. Plus a cashmere losange.
My CSGMs: Balade en Berline, Brins d‘Or and Sangles en Zigzag

This is a gorgeous cw and the coat is spectacular with it!

After a break of a few months where I didn’t think about scarves, didn’t check resale sites, and thought “heyyyy, I’m done. I’ve found my scarf happy place.” HA! As. If. This happened:

And last but not least for 2022, my Christmas gift from the boys. I’ve worn it twice already!

The new season is out and that’s very exciting, but it’s going to have to wait for the new year. I wasn’t nearly as “good” as I thought I’d been this year! Lol.
Both are lovely and what a nice Christmas present! The first one is Flannerie a Versailles, yes? Beautiful cw.

This is such a lovely tie to showcase two of the tails on your lovely Duo Cosmique @H’sKisses. And an inspirational goal!

Thank you @Coco2606 -- I love them equally. Have been to three of the four...Someday...

Your criteria are really thoughtful and well planned Coco! And this is a delightful scarf. It was a Mother's Day gift to me and I adore the vignettes-- it is full of fun fun fun and darling images.

I think it is great that you have started just wearing it @Teaforparrots! That transition happened for me at the start of the pandemic when I made a pact to wear a scarf every single day. It was good to de-mystify them and begin to enjoy them more!

Thank you @Karenska. I can't pick a favorite-- each one is so stunning in its way. But now I feel like a real collector!

Thank you @Katharina Luise! It reminds me of reading the great Russian novels as a young teenaged girl-- full of beauty and mystery...

Thank you @Karenska.

My sister to yours is going to make an appearance this week also @Nomad! I was absolutely smitten with this design last spring.

Just a lovely parade of beauties to have amassed over the year @Cookiefiend!

I am glad you re starting to feel better and I love being 2/3rds triplets with you on Chorus Stellarum. I "did a thing" (yep-- another thing)-- so now I have three also. I am telling myself these cws are not to be missed... I love your beautiful csgms @bunnycat. No better way to feel beautiful and cozy even when yu are not 100% the scarf makes up for it...

Thank you so much @Nomad. Paris was the first one I acquired and Moscou the last. Love them all-- cannot pick a favorite!

Gorgeous-- what a banner year for your (for any!) collection. Truly spectacular @Nomad and so well chosen, too. I a happy to have just become your twin on JQ-- th emost lovely cw among so many lovely ones! Ad of course I adore the Sieste au Paradis. Your Ailes de la Soie and Tous les Bateaux are so unusual and perfectly suited to your coloring. Brava. An amazing year. I am in awe. :ps:

Beautiful! I think you have absolutely earned the title of Bandana Queen-- you pick them so perfectly and you really really make the format so appealing with your stylings. Carreve is amazing as are the others: Equateur, Pytheas...just lovely @Karenska!
Bandana Queen . Thank you for the nice compliments, Lkb. I do love them. :hugs:
