Thank you Nomad! I really like all 3 of the CWs I got equally well. I agree, this scarf had so many excellent color choices for it.Feel better bunny! Yes it is so fatiguing! Wonderful additions! And I am also tempted by the orange bronze. It is a special color combo
Congratulations on your three CSs, Bunny! Others have multiples, too! An iconic design and no bad cw. Twins with CU - such a pretty rose and accent colors. Glad you are on the other side of your recent bout. Hugs to you.
I decided to do a collage. It was a year of manyyyy grails for me! It was also the year of purple. First row: tous les bateaux, potager extraordinaire, sieste au paradis ( has some moody purple-like in center)- all three grails long searched for close to retail. Second row: ailes de soie, astrologie nouvelle, Jaguar quetzal. Third row: Ballet aquatique ( purchased 4 cw’s before finding my fav), Appaloosa des steppes, on a summers day.

This is such a lovely tie to showcase two of the tails on your lovely Duo Cosmique @H’sKisses. And an inspirational goal!My goal for 2023 is to learn how to showcase the different details/colors of one scarf each time I wear it that it looks like a different scarf altogether…

Thank you @Coco2606 -- I love them equally. Have been to three of the four...Someday...Everything is perfect : colors, earings, knots, scarves of course. I cannot tell which one I prefer...
Your criteria are really thoughtful and well planned Coco! And this is a delightful scarf. It was a Mother's Day gift to me and I adore the vignettes-- it is full of fun fun fun and darling images.Virtual trip to the beach today. Hermès on the beach...
View attachment 5678145I think the harder a scarf is to find, the more precious it becomes in a collection (and that's an understatement for this one!). In my often futile attempt to rationalise my purchases, I have set myself some criteria. This one meets them all:
- contrasting edge
- colours that I don't have yet
- colours that go with my wardrobe
- interesting design
- different corners
- nice diagonal
In short, I love it
View attachment 5678146View attachment 5678147
I think it is great that you have started just wearing it @Teaforparrots! That transition happened for me at the start of the pandemic when I made a pact to wear a scarf every single day. It was good to de-mystify them and begin to enjoy them more! This scarf wasn’t a 2022 purchase, but my approach to wearing it changed over the course of the year. When I first purchased it I was very precious about it, just wearing it for “special.” Now I love to wear it around the house and on errands to brighten up my drab colored but comfortable sweatshirt, or to the farmers market. I did remove it while I was painting some shelf standards earlier today

I am glad you re starting to feel better and I love being 2/3rds triplets with you on Chorus Stellarum. I "did a thing" (yep-- another thing)-- so now I have three also. I am telling myself these cws are not to be missed... I love your beautiful csgms @bunnycat. No better way to feel beautiful and cozy even when yu are not 100% the scarf makes up for it...Coming soon is next year's thread so you can have a look at it a few days early. I will try to get to that here in a bit.
I wish I knew where were were, but I am so behind, I can't catch up and need to prepare myself for the next round of themes. So, while I am feeling better, and felt well enough today to put on some makeup. I still have a couple of pics from the last couple of days of no make up, and feeling it too...Sadly, I did have to go out yesterday for groceries (masked of course) but that wore me out entirely.
Today I am wearing the third and final of my Chorus Stellarum, which is indeed one of my favorite purchases of this year (all three that is..)

These are all such wonderful choices! And, my eyes are drawn to that striking Chorus Stellarum with which I am yoir twinI always love wrapping up the end of year with a good look at my own collection and also love seeing everyone’s new pieces. It’s such a fun week!
I brought in 35 scarves this year, 26 exited my collection to new homes. I have a lot more to go to new homes still. My plan is to release an older piece in my collection if I bring in a new piece, in an attempt to really hone my collection to those I ReAlLy love and can’t live without. I got MANY grails this year, which is super exciting, even if overwhelming :-0.
5 are from the 2022 seasons ( I think. I get confused sometimes based on how late I can get my hands on scarves sometimes). lanterns, chorus, becanes, double face passades, and marble doll twilly I have no photo of. 1 I bought in 2022, but is from 2021 I think, tea time. 2 are older designs that popped on h.com this year, farniente pareo ( my only pareo) and kachinas wash ( my only wash).

How lucky you are to own all four! What a beautiful and special collection!I am going to have to double post to fit all my year end recap into the week! To paraphrase the Beatles' song "Eight days a week is not enough to show" ...my scarves! I spend way too much time making these fun "pic collages" ever since @Nomad showed how she does them. This one shows four designs by Nathalie Vialars: (left to right) De Passage a Moscou, De Passage a Tokyo, (second row) De Passage a Paris and De Passage a New York. Although I acquired the Paris and New York scarves in 2020 and 21, I am including them because I completed the "set" this year and that felt like an accomplishment!

That Space Derby is truly masterful and one that on a class of its own… It is truly made for you in this CW… And, the DUJA is swoon-worthyToday I'm modeling two scarves that I was thrilled to be able to add to my collection during 2022.
First, the yellow Space Derby. I already have the navy blue Space Derby, and it is staying in the collection. I rehomed my pink Space Derby early in 2022, so I guess acquiring the yellow makes this a part of a CCP. The variegation of the colors and the number of colors in the hem vary considerably with this design, and the yellow is one of the most stunning. Which I noticed when I saw @Living.la.vida.fifi model hers, and thus it went onto my wishlist.

I really don’t know which of your acquisitions I admire most! So beautiful and you look gorgeous in all these different formats and colorsFor me 2022 was also a year of exploring the larger formats. I fell hard for the CSGM and the CSGT in FW 2021, buying my first ones in the boutique and then acquiring my grail Parures at the end of last year. This year I decided that I wanted to anchor my small (but growing) CSGM collection with four older designs and I was lucky to find them for retail or under and in excellent condition. I wear these at night for the most part so I apologize for the lighting in my photos.
