Thanks @Living.la.vida.fifi, @LKBNOLA and other sweet Likers :drinks:

I could see this working really well flat-folded (probably rectangular rather than bias) and crossed and then tucked into a v-neck sweater/jumper/cardigan. Once the weather warms up, it could also look nice just bias folded and draped over your shoulders with a tan/khaki linen? I guess I always peg jacquards as more winter-y, but I'm intrigued by the effect of the pattern shimmering in the summer sun...
Thanks for input- I’ll try your suggestions. I never thought about jacquards being wintery, but I like that idea for this one.
My Fireworks LaCle seems to lend itself to the Spring & Summer sunshine

With a creme silk blouse? Tucked into a silvery gray v-neck? With a soft mustard cashmere sweater? I recall our dear @Cookiefiend rocking a Daimyo in a similar color way to your new scarf, with a mid-toned denim chambray blouse.
Ah, yes- Cookie’s Daimyo (how could I forget?) :noggin:
Congratulations, dear Turfnsurf, it’s gorgeous and is very classy. I love it with both tops. I think charcoal or dark grey would be devastating with it. It looks more cream than white; a cream blouse or sweater would work, too. Such a beautiful jacquard.
Great ideas! Sounds like I need to hunt down a silk blouse & new sweater :graucho:

These are nice. I have 2 CWs of this design (navy and forest green). How about starting with a bias fold, which will show less of the white corners? Also I think it looks cool with the silver blouse!
Thanks- Yours sound elegant. There seems to be so many cws to choose from of this one that I had decision paralysis and thought white would be straightforward. I’ll play around with bias... :flowers:

Ohmygosh - so BEAUTIFUL!
As @Langsam noted, my Daimyo Princes is the same colorway, and I wear it all the time with blue chambray. It's also great with a blue and white striped blouse or a dark gray sweater. It is a beautiful scarf. :
Many thanks; definitely trying blue chambray. How could I forget- “When in doubt reach for denim!” :giggle:

Oh, my- another vintage beauty :hbeat:

I’ve always been in awe of people who can carry off the scarf in hair look, decided to give it a go, not sure I’d venture in public like this?
View attachment 5002782View attachment 5002783
Cute bow- though I think that it might be more suited for shorter hair/wild curls since there’s a lot of volume on top. Maybe try laying bias fold flat and tying it under your long hair for a sleeker look? Tying it like that with a flowing tail off one shoulder I think would be very becoming.

Playing with knots while I’m supposed to be working. (Well, this is work!) Les Artisans: snail knot, novelty tie to get the samurai guy in view, octopus (“knot” pleased), and @Cookiefiend’s double knot (the winner, because it only took 3 seconds). Also Rose Inoui lipstick, very poorly named, as it is orange!
Sorry, everything is out of order and double. ARGH!
Also - I spared you my attempt at the "ondulation" knot. I should make a spoof video.

Your expression over the octopus knot made me giggle, but you nailed the others (especially the Fifi double knot- I think Cookie got credit for the similar triple knot? ).
That “rose” lippie is the ideal orange :giggle:

This is great! I did some practicing last night (pre-covid vax). I think I need a slightly larger ancre ring but I think this is a lovely festive look. I can see me wearing this to Commander's Palace for a holiday lunch if we can ever have holiday lunches in person again...I love this scarf so much but now am wishing I had it in a lighter cw for other seasons. Thanks for the tutorial. Loved it. Easy to follow and fun to play with.

Wow- great drama! Definitely festive

Hi all! I’ve been out of touch the past few weeks as I’ve started a new job, but still have been enjoying the thread! I wanted to show off my latest two scarves in my favorite knots. One is the offrandes with the draped knot from scarf look book. The other is a little knot I just do with one of my scarf rings, with my new paddock. View attachment 5001722View attachment 5001723
Congratulations on the new job laurenad. Great scarf pics.
SOTD is a new-to-me Grande Tenue in an asymmetric knot. Pearls are golden and white South Seas in a variety of shades and shapes.

I like this knot. It looks wonderful with your beautiful pearls RBH.

This knot is a favorite - I learned about it on Instagram and the very kind Craielover showed me how - I get mixed up easily!

Each photo is so pretty - great knot Cookie.
A while back I tried a knot that dear @Cookiefiendchristened, The Fifi Knot... it is an easy and cute way to keep a scarf neatly secured and close to the face.
You basically fold the scarf into a rectangle and place around neck and shoulders as in the Octopus Knot. You then take the two points closer to the neck and tie into a knot. Then, you take the remaining two corners and tie into a knot right underneath the first knot. Then, you arrange and fluff out.
Here are some examples, even using one scarf ring for the top knot, and another time using two vintage Bakelite buckles

Breathtaking photos fifi.
Off on a date night (outside!) with Danse, in Fifi’s cross cross in a triangle fold. Not sure I got it right, but I like it!

I have used a smaller scarf bias folded then wrapped twice, and tied at the back - basically a silky hair band - and while it looks sleeker, I get a funny “bump” in my hair at the back. Although it’s long my hair is very fine. In this picture I feel I’m channeling my inner Minnie Mouse!
If I recall, Papertiger rocks the scarf in hair look? I feel sure she’s posted pics in the past?

So striking and elegant! Oh, how I love black and red!

I actually love this look on you!

One of the best of Alice Shirley and so beautiful in this CW! Love the knots!

This is a wonderful design and looks amazing as a plisé

Great scarf on you! Love the CW especially with that top! And that double knot is actually the Fifi Knot! LOL.... Your octopus looks droopy because you did it wrong... I posted instructions yesterday

Fabulous! Christina has some beautiful knots... Thank you for pointing us to the actual IG post as sometimes they are hard to locate. Every single example here is breathtaking!

Great examples, and I love the Octopus with your beautiful Zabavushka... The knot came out perfect!

It’s such a good one, and all of your examples are stunning. But, somehow mine never come out like yours. I love that waterfall effect that you always accomplish. If you have time and it’s not too much trouble, I would love a step-by-step of your method

I hope that you are feeling better! The knots came out great! Stunning silk, too
Thank you so much, fifi!

You were surely the most elegant shopper in the store! Lovely.
So sweet of you to say, thank you Langsam!

Thank you so much! Hermes calls this lipstick pink, LOL

I like to eat octopus. I may have to leave it there.

Haha, happy to entertain you!

Thanks, fifi. I thought I followed your instructions for octopus. Maybe pull harder? Also sorry about the double knot! I always think of Cookie when I do it. Your versions look so fancy!

Yes. They are soooo much fun.

Thanks. The Cosmos just arrived in the mail today. @Croisette7 killed me last week with her Cosmoi (is that the plural? I have no Greek).
I thought the one I did today was the chou-chou. I am soooo confused!!! Can't find instructions since Aesthetic Alterations took down her blog.
OMG, did I write Cosmoi? Of course COSMOS, moma. Congrats on this pretty piece!

@Living.la.vida.fifi - I looked at my tutorial and I think what’s missing is the pleating I almost always do when I make the knot...

Well done, Cookie ... I often do both!

love that purple with the gray!

Amazing!
Thanks! I don't have many purple scarves.
Beautiful!
Danke!
Pretty! Must try this one!

Twins on this CW! I would love to have moma's special edition, but would have required Bond's submarine car to drive to Canada

After lunch, everything changes because I remove my scarf. Too many lunches with curry, gravy or soup.

Delightful Cosmos!

Some call it a pochette. And H also makes odd sizes sometimes: 65cm pops up in the men's collex occasionally. And I have a mini 28cm size in one design. We have a theme week for small scarves coming up
I love the image of you sailing underwater to Canada! and thank you for the Cosmos love.
Everything looks spectacular!
]Why, thank you so much!

So so cute, dear!
Thank you!

No mistake - you showed TWO of them, so I thought COSMOI was perhaps the plural. Who knows Greek here?
Anyway, I will think of you when I wear this.
