Ok....if a gavroche is so fun, what other than put on a purse, tie cowboy style or in a small tight knot around the neck can you do? I have seen some very pretty ones at good prices, but kinda at a loss...
Turns out there’s a thread for that! :giggle:
(sorta like “there’s an app got that” but better! Things really get going at page 5.

Thanks @Living.la.vida.fifi, @LKBNOLA and other sweet Likers :drinks:

Thanks for input- I’ll try your suggestions. I never thought about jacquards being wintery, but I like that idea for this one.
My Fireworks LaCle seems to lend itself to the Spring & Summer sunshine

Ah, yes- Cookie’s Daimyo (how could I forget?) :noggin:

Great ideas! Sounds like I need to hunt down a silk blouse & new sweater :graucho:

Thanks- Yours sound elegant. There seems to be so many cws to choose from of this one that I had decision paralysis and thought white would be straightforward. I’ll play around with bias... :flowers:

Many thanks; definitely trying blue chambray. How could I forget- “When in doubt reach for denim!” :giggle:

Oh, my- another vintage beauty :hbeat:

Cute bow- though I think that it might be more suited for shorter hair/wild curls since there’s a lot of volume on top. Maybe try laying bias fold flat and tying it under your long hair for a sleeker look? Tying it like that with a flowing tail off one shoulder I think would be very becoming.

Your expression over the octopus knot made me giggle, but you nailed the others (especially the Fifi double knot- I think Cookie got credit for the similar triple knot? ).
That “rose” lippie is the ideal orange :giggle:
❤ I am always amazed at how well we know each other’s closets! :giggle:
The knot with the three knots I gave credit to our sweet @Pautinka!
Each photo is so pretty - great knot Cookie.

Breathtaking photos fifi.

Stunning colours on you Pirula.
Thank you sweetie! ❤
I have used a smaller scarf bias folded then wrapped twice, and tied at the back - basically a silky hair band - and while it looks sleeker, I get a funny “bump” in my hair at the back. Although it’s long my hair is very fine. In this picture I feel I’m channeling my inner Minnie Mouse!
If I recall, Papertiger rocks the scarf in hair look? I feel sure she’s posted pics in the past?
Yes - She often wears them in her hair!
Beautiful! ❤

Playing with knots while I’m supposed to be working. (Well, this is work!) Les Artisans: snail knot, novelty tie to get the samurai guy in view, octopus (“knot” pleased), and @Cookiefiend’s double knot (the winner, because it only took 3 seconds). Also Rose Inoui lipstick, very poorly named, as it is orange!
Sorry, everything is out of order and double. ARGH!
Also - I spared you my attempt at the "ondulation" knot. I should make a spoof video.

Such pretty knots, Moma, but I think you are a bit skeptical aboit one of them. :giggle:

Here is my very orange Plumes en Fete by Aline Honoré. As you see, its easy to wrap away the orange border if I want to. When I bought this, it was because I couldnt stop thinking of the beautiful scarf display on the wall...I had turned down the Kawa Ora that day, wich I later ended up with :happydance: Guess I needed this bright and very beautiful shawl to be ready for the colors in Kawa Ora. I usually get an instant feeling of love or not love, so if I am in doubt I don´t by, and seldom regret. But after this one, I could not stop thinking of Kawa Ora:heart: Lucky me it was still available in my H-shop.When it comes to knots, i usually just wrap it like this, the cowboy knot, or weave it in when bias folded. Very casual suits me the best. Wish all of you a relaxing saturday and all the best for the weekend

There's many tutorials of it, but I learned this knot from a tutorial posted by dear @scarflookbook on Instagram. I love her modern and creative knots a lot! As you know, it's a fancy knot that showcases the whole parts of scarf beautifully. If you want to find the tutorial, it's on Christina's IG account. She posted it on Aug. 12th, 2019!;)

I brought some pictures from achieve:

Gorgeous! I so admire you ladies who can rock the bright orange.

Scarf mail this week brought me this cheerful Gronland. I've tied it in an asymmetric knot because I want to show the contrast between the blue sweater and the yellow hem.

Once our lakes melt I'll wear it while paddling my kayak. There is no way I'll actually get to Greenland itself, although that would be awesome.

What a glorious colorway! I sense some awesome scarf-on-site opportunities in your future.

Not a Hermès, but maybe some inspiration/courage to wear one in your hair if you are unsure? I am taking to this. Love how the right color is making my eyes pop on a day I would not wear a scarf because I will be doing work outside and would get too warm with one around my neck.

Thank you Langsam, so nice of you to say <3
I am not sure if I rock the bright orange, but I love this scarf so much so I use it anyway, so maybe I rock it because I dare to use it and not overthink it? My H-friend think I rock it too, so with your nice comment as well I think I will start using it showing more of the orange, and not tuck it away so often from now <3
