Happy Friday, all. For those traveling on this US holiday weekend, safe travels and best wishes for a fun fourth with real people this year. For my SOTD I am sharing my new wash Equateur -- not sales goggles per se, but I did have H credit due to a screw up earlier in the year (they actually sent the wrong item but insisted that it could not have happened. Many photos and email exchanges later the issue was resolved). At the boutique they told me this scarf was only available online and once they are gone they are gone. Reader, I bought it. By H math it was a bargain because I applied the credit to the purchase price. Of course it was MY own $$$ but please don't ask me to actually apply logic!

SOTD is Les Jouets Mobiles, a scarf that I've seen before occasionally in the bay but which was never high in my priority list. Earlier this year, while looking through the theme list, I was reminded of it. @turfnsurf had identified one of the Couvee eggs as based on motifs from this scarf. I did a cursory search for it and found one in baby blue and pink at a sweet price. BIN'd it in a "Why Not? If not now, when?" mood.

Wore it with a @bunnycat glass scarf ring in streaky blue. Here's the Couvee egg, which merges two of the motifs.

The child-size goat-drawn carriage is in the Hermes collection. And either Caty Latham used artistic licence or there is more than one goat-drawn carriage, because a different model was shown at an Hermes exhibition in my neck of woods.

Very cool!

I regularly follow the Hermes scarves offered on TRR, marking my favorites and often waiting until the price drops to bargain levels. Recently, a scarf appeared that I was willing to purchase immediately. When I put it into the cart I realized that this was one of the weekends where purchases earned a site rebate to be received in a few weeks. So, naturally, I loaded up my cart with bargain scarves to kick the rebate up to a higher level.

One of those bargain scarves was L'Ocean with the red border. This magnificent ship with its 118 cannons by Ledoux from 1959 has been on my wish list for a while. So, I'm kicking off our Independence Day weekend with some red, white, and blue for my SOTD. According to my H Math, between the site discount and my upcoming rebate, this scarf practically paid for itself.

Fantastic!!!

One last FOMO and some H math. I used to have the Anthracite Beloved India, but it didn’t love me so I traded with @thegriswolds for her black Bal des Oiseaux. We’re both happier.

But, having lived in India I can’t not have a Beloved India. So for three years I watched as pink and orange cws (the ones that most remind me of the colors of India) came and went. Usually for crazy prices or I just missed them at a decent price. So yesterday, just as I put myself on permanent ban, it shows up on TRR for just below retail. Are you kidding me. So fast boat off Ban Island and returned straight after. And I figure, since I’m returning something else I ordered from TRR then really I got $125 off the scarf. N’est pas? :graucho:

You are couponing queen! That’s awesome! I need to find a coupon so my h scarves pay for themselves!!:giggle:

Hi all! I think pretty much all of my scarves fit into this week in some form!! I have had a few FOMO scarves that I’ve been lucky enough to find from a sales associate who was willing to do boutique transfers. The ones that come to mind are my Galaxy 100 in the red and blue color way, my rainbow double face Della Cav 90 (the rainbow color way from AW 20 never made it onto the us website), and the men’s formule chic 90 double face. I was so worried about getting each of these that I didn’t even wait for the website to have them.

I will tell you all a secret, my biggest steal is a purple paddock that I ended up getting for free because the company thought it was lost in the mail. I feel kind of guilty but I also don’t because I tracked this package through USPS for eight weeks while it was returned to sender (I put in the wrong shipping address), and called USPS no less than 8 times to try to locate this package. A free scarf was my reward!

My most recent FOMO is the light blue Nothing But A Dreamer. Men’s 100 are my favorite format, and this fits my ideal H aesthetic, which is what I will call “medieval tapestry.” Basically, if it looks like it should be hanging on the wall of a castle, I want to wear it around my neck. This beauty has been on the H website forever but it is so old, I believe from 2019, that I began to have nightmares that it would disappear right when I became ready to purchase. Foxy Trini encouraged me to purchase, so here we are! D11AF27B-DCF2-46C4-9E9E-39449ECF2D99.jpegA1C23FE7-F7B2-4E41-9A9C-C98E32520BF6.jpeg

Another Must-Buy. This was not a bargain. I paid a lot more than current retail for it. A few years ago, @lanit showed SOTD an interesting scarf called Calvacadour Clair de Lune. I liked it but it rarely appears in the resale market. I missed out on one about 2 years ago, not that it was priced even close to retail. This one is from a Japanese seller, purchased a couple of months ago, and was one of those rather anonymous listings that don't tell you much and test your identification skills. I hesitated, but finally pulled the trigger because I didn't want to search any longer.

It's brown, the only cw for this design. So to brighten it up, a true bargain - the Folklore twilly which became even cheaper with the use of a voucher, and was bought because it was so cheerfully bright and we need cheer in our lives.

I will have to wear this a lot to bring down the cost per wear

I love how you brightened up the deep brown dear. It is definitely a collector type of silk, and one I wear usually in the fall. but now with an ebene barenia bag, I will be bringing it out more with white dresses and jeans. I hope you love the nuances of the special dying method. Mine is still crisp amd has a stiffer feel which makes it feel special when I wear it.

Thank you everyone for the likes and compliments, @bunnycat, @Snausages, @LKBNOLA and apologies if I didn’t see all the comments yet.

@momasaurus (yes, the Pegasus arrived twice in the tansu. The first had to be returned due to an imperfection and exchanged for the purple/bleu colorway) it never resurfaced in our store again.

Wishing you all a Happy Independence Day weekend for those in the US and territories or maybe red white and blue are global enough colors to represent all countries around the world. It is freeing to be vaccinated and enjoy family gatherings again! SOTD : Kelly en Caleche cotton charm 70 silk. Love those cotton scarves by H.

Love it! (And the "Medieval Tapestry" look  )

Sorry for only admiring, liking and loving this week - at least ending it with an off topic scarf (as from last year).
