For Wednesday, I’m slightly off topic - so I hope you’ll forgive me.
FOMO is not only fear of missing out on scarves but missing out on spending time with those we love and didn’t see much of last year.
So because I’m spending this week with my sweet pea, here we are at the Art Museum, and we’re both wearing H!

The last couple of weeks, the jungle love has been a great company while I was on a road trip and supermarkets

About 10+ years ago I saw this on evilbay with a black background. I’ve not seen other Vienna themed scarves and my mother’s family hails from there so I added it to my scarf drawer. But the yellows did nothing for me so I rehomed it. A year or so later a burgundy background appeared but I forgot to watch it and some other lucky bidder got it. I’ve been searching for it ever since.
So it popped up on TRR at an unattractive price given its age and lack of interest. So I waited for the price to drop, and while I think if I’d waited longer the price would have dropped further I couldn’t miss it a second time.
The silk is soft, it lacks a caretag, there are some small stains that will get the Janie’s dry cleaning stick treatment, and I was horrified that TRR pinned their store tag to it (at least in a surreptitious area). I don’t have many summer tops to wear with this and the yellows still do me no favors. But I’m thrilled.

I own this one in the red CW but have never seen yours… It is so special and so beautiful!

Another Must-Buy. This was not a bargain. I paid a lot more than current retail for it. A few years ago, @lanit showed SOTD an interesting scarf called Calvacadour Clair de Lune. I liked it but it rarely appears in the resale market. I missed out on one about 2 years ago, not that it was priced even close to retail. This one is from a Japanese seller, purchased a couple of months ago, and was one of those rather anonymous listings that don't tell you much and test your identification skills. I hesitated, but finally pulled the trigger because I didn't want to search any longer.

It's brown, the only cw for this design. So to brighten it up, a true bargain - the Folklore twilly which became even cheaper with the use of a voucher, and was bought because it was so cheerfully bright and we need cheer in our lives.

I will have to wear this a lot to bring down the cost per wear

Here's my SOTD on theme-- I found this for less than the current retail price of a twilly (oh, oKAY, maxi twilly) and since y'all know I am a blue and black lover this had my name on it. It qualifies for the sales goggles category because I had already ticked off this design in my collex with a really lovely, colorful maxi twilly so I hardly "needed" a 90 of another zebra, pegasus or not! But, it has proven to be a Very Useful Scarf as it goes with almost everything. I am loving this chemisier knot as my pix this week attest...

Today's SOTD was a 'grab it before it disappears from the web site' purchase. A large wash silk with Dallet's cheetah... I purchased this so fast before it could disappear, which it did for quite a while.

H Sales Goggles! As a dog lover I’m partial
to the Colliers design by Virginia Jamin. I’ve got a 90cm silk and a 140cm cs, as well as a 90cm wash and twilly of Colliers et Chiens.
So do I need a maxi twilly? No. I don’t even particularly care for maxi twillies. At least I didn’t until I saw awesome mod shots here. This when this appeared at well below retail I jumped. It helped that, like the Coupons Indiennes I scored last month, there was a typo in the title so if anyone had a search set up it wouldn’t be included.

Surely, with TLBdM, I was done buying CSGMs… until this month, that is, when a couple of incredible bargains surfaced out of nowhere… I have 3 Parures de Samourais CSGMs already and was perfectly satisfied, until this CW popped up at at unheard of couple of hundred $$ below retail… The least thing I needed was another shawl, but, hey, it’s Samourais at an insane price, so the old Sales Goggles and FOMOF made me do it


Then a few days later, this amazing Jungle Love CSGM surfaced… My dream CW of JL in the 90 is the pink, but I’ve never run across one at a decent price. So when I saw this pink and in pristine condition and at over $400 below current retail, surely there was nothing else to do… It was mine in a flash

One reason why I wanted this is was because this mud-dye technique is practiced in southern China where my ancestors lived, and in Southeast Asia where I live. The other reason is kryptonite - I like unusual scarves.

I’m in the steamy south and feel the same about cashmeres. I love them so, but they are a tad impractical. But they are gorgeous and how can a gal resist a good deal? It’s like the universe wants you to have these!

Oh boy… Such wonderful scarves and finds! Similar to you..I said I have enough shawls. I’m at 4 currently ( 2 are samourais from 5). I forgot I had the dark blue orange at one point Haha. It is so SO hard to say no to samourais if retail or under retail, I fully agree with you!! It wasn’t easy for me to give up 3 ( and the one you have above, I have bought twice!!!)

Oh, thank you so much @Thelittlefoxes for your sweet comments! I do love me some blue but am branching out into pinks and reds now too. The magic of tPF mod shots at work! My scarf ring is from Etsy where I find a lot of options. I do love my H rings but they are heavy! I am sad that Mai Tai stopped her business because I loved her options but the Etsy sellers have fun scarf "jewelry"-- that one ring is particularly light and useful with 70's and gavs.

I live in the sauna otherwise known as New Orleans, so CSGMs have not been a temptation until I started frequenting this thread. Sometimes I see a particularly seductive cw of a design and it is the CSGM! I may be purchasing my first this AW season as I will be traveling North more often and may want more than my trusty Nothing But a Dremer 100. Another perilous orange slope to slide down...

For my SOTD I am sharing my new wash Equateur -- not sales goggles per se, but I did have H credit due to a screw up earlier in the year (they actually sent the wrong item but insisted that it could not have happened. Many photos and email exchanges later the issue was resolved). At the boutique they told me this scarf was only available online and once they are gone they are gone. Reader, I bought it. By H math it was a bargain because I applied the credit to the purchase price. Of course it was MY own $$$ but please don't ask me to actually apply logic!

I know how you feel. I have store credit almost enough for two 90s at the moment. There is temptation to just splurge but I'm holding back.
