Hahaha. Store credit definitely feels like "found" money but of course it only is so in H Math!I know how you feel. I have store credit almost enough for two 90s at the moment. There is temptation to just splurge but I'm holding back.
@xincinsin this is nothing if not utterly charming and the colors are the perfect match of form and content. Thanks for showing the artist rendering and the real carriage from the exhibition. These child-sized versions of adult objects just twangs my miniaturist's heartstrings...(I also love the delicate glass rings by @bunnycat)SOTD is Les Jouets Mobiles, a scarf that I've seen before occasionally in the bay but which was never high in my priority list. Earlier this year, while looking through the theme list, I was reminded of it. @turfnsurf had identified one of the Couvee eggs as based on motifs from this scarf. I did a cursory search for it and found one in baby blue and pink at a sweet price. BIN'd it in a "Why Not? If not now, when?" mood.

Wore it with a @bunnycat glass scarf ring in streaky blue. Here's the Couvee egg, which merges two of the motifs.

The child-size goat-drawn carriage is in the Hermes collection. And either Caty Latham used artistic licence or there is more than one goat-drawn carriage, because a different model was shown at an Hermes exhibition in my neck of woods.

Hermes brings rare treasures from its archives to Singapore, including its very first scarf

This is great @Redbirdhermes-- perfect for the holiday weekend! I have used your strategy too and in fact, three of my four recent "lucky finds" are from TRR stalking. I think this board is keeping them in business!I regularly follow the Hermes scarves offered on TRR, marking my favorites and often waiting until the price drops to bargain levels. Recently, a scarf appeared that I was willing to purchase immediately. When I put it into the cart I realized that this was one of the weekends where purchases earned a site rebate to be received in a few weeks. So, naturally, I loaded up my cart with bargain scarves to kick the rebate up to a higher level.
One of those bargain scarves was L'Ocean with the red border. This magnificent ship with its 118 cannons by Ledoux from 1959 has been on my wish list for a while. So, I'm kicking off our Independence Day weekend with some red, white, and blue for my SOTD. According to my H Math, between the site discount and my upcoming rebate, this scarf practically paid for itself.

Oh, @scarf1, once again we are sisters on all three-- the very ones I bought online during the Pandemic as well. I wandered out of my blues and into pinks and greens but your three beauties makes me want the blue ones, too! The blue Zambeze is particularly gorgeous and I love it peeking out of your cardi like that.Since the start of the pandemic I have only bought scarves online so have played it pretty safe with colors. I picked 3 scarves form Ss2021 - shown here in reverse order of purchase.

marche au Zambezi. Could never decide on a CW from the first release, but this CW was perfect for me.

Kismet! It is a great design @Pirula-- trading one for a Bal des Oiseaux and then finding another in your preferred cw is the best kind of H multiplier effect...Not to mention your TRR credit which will pay for your round trip boat ticket off the Island...One last FOMO and some H math. I used to have the Anthracite Beloved India, but it didn’t love me so I traded with @thegriswolds for her black Bal des Oiseaux. We’re both happier.
But, having lived in India I can’t not have a Beloved India. So for three years I watched as pink and orange cws (the ones that most remind me of the colors of India) came and went. Usually for crazy prices or I just missed them at a decent price. So yesterday, just as I put myself on permanent ban, it shows up on TRR for just below retail. Are you kidding me. So fast boat off Ban Island and returned straight after. And I figure, since I’m returning something else I ordered from TRR then really I got $125 off the scarf. N’est pas?

Twin! @laurenad I love this NBAD and reach for it whenever I need a warmer option. Perfect size and the design looks a bit like toile from a distance (always a good thing, in my book). I am so glad you got it-- it looks wonderful on you. (I remember that purple Paddock-- beautiful on you!)Hi all! I think pretty much all of my scarves fit into this week in some form!! I have had a few FOMO scarves that I’ve been lucky enough to find from a sales associate who was willing to do boutique transfers. The ones that come to mind are my Galaxy 100 in the red and blue color way, my rainbow double face Della Cav 90 (the rainbow color way from AW 20 never made it onto the us website), and the men’s formule chic 90 double face. I was so worried about getting each of these that I didn’t even wait for the website to have them.
I will tell you all a secret, my biggest steal is a purple paddock that I ended up getting for free because the company thought it was lost in the mail. I feel kind of guilty but I also don’t because I tracked this package through USPS for eight weeks while it was returned to sender (I put in the wrong shipping address), and called USPS no less than 8 times to try to locate this package. A free scarf was my reward!
My most recent FOMO is the light blue Nothing But A Dreamer. Men’s 100 are my favorite format, and this fits my ideal H aesthetic, which is what I will call “medieval tapestry.” Basically, if it looks like it should be hanging on the wall of a castle, I want to wear it around my neck. This beauty has been on the H website forever but it is so old, I believe from 2019, that I began to have nightmares that it would disappear right when I became ready to purchase. Foxy Trini encouraged me to purchase, so here we are! View attachment 5126336View attachment 5126337
This is just gossamer beautiful-- colors, everything @bunnycat!Since we have been on the subject of "sales goggles" this week. This is a scarf I had been watching for awhile, but had resolved not to buy, but could not pass up a deal.... Paridaiza GM mousseline joins my 90cm silk in the Bunny Scarf Corral.
