My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Just to add a few more Bond girls inspiration....

AAAHHHH Julide! Terrific!
#5 Zora: the wrestling gypsy girl. I can see her wearing peuple du vent pirate style!

#29 Solitaire: a tarot reader, naturally she would wear Le Tarot! But how does a tarot reader wear her scarves? Any ideas?

#Saida: the belly dancer. I could see her wearing tapis volant perhaps tied asymmetrically around her hips.

#45 Bono Dahl is an ice skater. I think she would wear le plaisirs du froid or joies d’hiver. Perhaps in pink.

#47 Octopussy: was surrounded by circus folk, so I think cirus scarf would fit her nicely.

All images found from google searches.

A few more for this week.

I gave Animapolis a spin earlier in the week, with all its wonderful Eastern European influences.

And Boucles et Galons du Tsar. The Buckles and Straps (of Peter the Great??) by Wlodek Kaminski

And for the Japanese Bond girls...Les Artisans....I'm fairly sure a Bond girl could rock the motorcycle horse with ease.

Love how you tied Les Artisans. Very carefree look.
Can’t help to post my Russian scarf-on-site pics...
First of all Russian artist Evgenia Miroshnichenko’s Zabavushka which depicts a wonderland of toys found at the Zabavushka Museum of Traditional Russian Wooden Toys in Moscow. Here I stand in front of the Catherine Palace in Pushkin. Sorry, the Zavabushka closeup shot appears at the bottom of this post

And, here is Vladimir Rybaltchenko’s Cavaliers d’Or which depicts Scythian golden jewelry and objects that are part of the permanent collection of the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The scarf was created to accompany the “From the Land of the Scythians” exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1975. Vladimir Rybaltchenko was a son of Russian immigrants. In this pic I superimpose some of my museum jewelry from The Met Museum shop

And, here I display the scarf before the Grand Staircase of the Hermitage. Another modeling pic with one of my commemorative museum brooches below

Lovely!!
Today, I’m channeling Tiffany Case, from Diamonds are Forever.
Bond - Tiffany Case? Definitely distinctive.
Tiffany - I was born there, on the first floor, while my mother was looking for a wedding ring.
Bond - Well, I’m glad for your sake it wasn’t Van Cleef & Arpels.
Tiffany was a diamond smuggler - she would love to swipe Parures des Sables

What a story! Tied so chic.

Wearing Blue Red Pink. I need positive colors to boot my sleepy brain.
Paris special edition
Pegase paysage wash scarf 90
Have a great day although we are sheltered in our own nest.
Stunning with your sweater!

Off topic today with new-2-me Au Coeur de la Vie. It’s a beautiful sunny day, a little chilly, but that’s okay. The greens in this scarf, the flowers, and wee critters make me happy. Happy Friyay everyone!

Gorgeous greens! I recently purchased my Au Coeur de la Lie in a happy happy yellow and need to share it.
today with my NTM Peuples du Vent, CW 44 from F/W 19

Love this one!! I’ve been eyeing this colorway for a while now.
Twins! Beautifully tied!

Hahahah! I think a 140 would be better. More “freedom” wearing a 90 as a skirt is very restrictive. No sudden movements.

Thank you Bunny!! Love it! Perfect for the tough yet exotic Bond girls!!:flowers:

Thank you Julide!

I search how a tarot reader would dress in real life?
and then come up with these, what do you think ? :graucho::lol:

I love all these on you!

this early morning with Grand Cortège á Moscou

Beautiful Croisette! Love you tie on this one!

Happy Easter. Don't think I have anything with a Russian theme. Decided to wear something with yellow this week since it is Easter. Cuivreries that I bought a few years ago at my home store.View attachment 4708071

Gorgeous with that contrast hem on the sunny yellow!

Love how you tied Les Artisans. Very carefree look.

Lovely!!

What a story! Tied so chic.

Stunning with your sweater!

Thank you so kindly MAGJES!

I like the current incarnation of Bond. Daniel Craig's extremely athletic version of the super spy included a death-defying parkour chase across the rooftops in Casino Royale. No parkour in my scarves, so I'll contribute some rooftops instead
Les Toits de Paris, Jardin sur le Toit, and the urban landscape in Passage a Ginza.

My favourite bit of Bond isn't in the movies. It's the 2012 Summer Olympics filmlet featuring Queen E for the Games opening ceremony. Those corgis were a riot, as was the genuine surprise on the faces of William and Harry when they viewed the video.
Regina in memory of Leila Menchari and her depiction of the roses for England, leeks for Wales, thistles for Scotland and clover for Northern Ireland. Dieu et Mon Droit issued for the Queen's Jubilee.

It is amazing how you find connections. Well done!
