My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

My SOTD is my Faubourg Rainbow CSGM, which accompanied me to a celebratory dinner at a wonderful Japanese restaurant. I don't own the other formats but I know it was issued in a gavroche format (featuring only one corner of the design) and a twilly.
This is a really striking scarf on you, you carry it really well like it was made for you.

Fifi, Zénobie may have been the queen of Palmyra but you are definitely the queen of Zénobie!! They are fabulous....and I am so happy to be your twin on the CSGM. How wonderful that you have met up with eagle. Looks like an amazing day must have been had and you would have both been in your element at the show! You're both looking great.
Thank you Pautinka. It was an amazing day. I totally agree that Fifi is the Queen of Zenobia.

Piggybacking to Croisette’s most excellent BdG collection is my new-in Shadow. I don’t have any other BdG even though it’s such a classic - it keeps getting placed lower on my wishlist because of other tempting designs! Someday I hope to find a Finesse...

This is spectacular on you. When the SA suggested the BdG Shadow, I picked it, looked for a second then said "I can't tie this." On you, it's spectacular.

I’m thrilled to add a 140 Sieste to my collection! I dithered on cws - I was paralyzed between this blue and the one with the bright yellow sky. The blue won out! You know you made the right decision when you get home and have no qualms about taking the tag off! I now have it in a 140 and two 90s:

This is your year with Pantone calling out the importance of blue. And you are REALLY working it!
I love the red hair with the white dress and scarf. Tres chic.

And, L’Arbre du Vent as a 90 and CSGM... don’t mind one bit that they are both the same CW

And, I hope these fit the theme: Mythiques Phoenix in both the regular and the coloriage editions

What a lovely rainbow of colours. I especially like the gold toned on the MP - they really make it pop!!

It turns out that every CSGM I own, I bought first in a 100% silk format.
My most recent ones were Act 3. Picked very different CWs.

And that wonderful CSGM:

These are stunning! I am happy twins with you on the first CW.

.Jeu de Soie from a year or two ago. I'm wearing it with a silk duster in deep avocado green with a khaki toile de jouy contrast. Very hard to find HS that did not fight the toile. The 80's "scarf prints" of H for some reason didn't work. I saw the Jeu de Soie laying on top of a pile and found that the deep autumnal colors of olive, sienna, dark teal, various shades of gold, and pale pink worked reasonably well with the duster. Serendipity!
Looks perfect! I'm always envious of those who have the skill to mix and match patterns. I remember we had a theme on this last year and when I went into work my husband gasped ( he is also my boss!) and said how awful it looked!!!! Hahahaha.

L'Arbre du Vent is a design I always hanker after. Sadly, the recent CSGMs didn't thrill me too much colour-wise. These look amazing on you though, just gorgeous!

Enjoying the show of all the formats! I don’t think I’ll be able to contribute to this week’s topic, as I have mainly 90’s, so here is my actual SOTD, Tohu Bohu.

Beautiful on you CC!

My SOTD made me think about how H sometimes redesigns for reissues in other formats. I'm wearing Nothing but a Dreamer with Coupe de Gala gav. The 90cm version of Coupe had a more elaborate border, much like for the CSGM version of Fetes Venetiennes which had (IIRC) an extended border. Not every design is scalable. Nothing but a Dreamer is so detailed that it would just fuzz out as a gav but I would definitely buy it if it were issued as a 90 finesse. I find it interesting how H has so many ways to macro and micro a design. Some gavs show only a portion of the 90 design, like Jardin Maharani Recadre or Noel au Faubourg. I liked the losange redesign of Fouets et Badines shown by @MAGJES earlier (wishlisted!).

This is gorgeous!

The blue is such a beautiful shade of blue.
Thank you eagle!
