My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Taking time out to experiment today.

Green wins the Award for Most Common Colour Purchased in 2020. It is the main or important subsidiary colour in almost half the scarves I bought (H and non-H).

This is Ispahan and Cavalcade de Mai. Like I said, experimental (I must try with other scarf rings). I was attempting to create the shades of green that you would see when you look at a copse of trees, inspired by a local photographer who took pics of a local forest and made it look magical!

I can see why you'd want to recreate that sense of green! Beautiful! (But what they really need in that article is a good old fashioned "and here's what it looks like with my iPhone" pic to compare! )

Anna - you are my (s)hero. I bet your tags don't look like this! View attachment 4941585
I guess on the upside, I know where they are...
helllo, twin!

One of my favs of all time... So special!
thank you, Fifi!

My Grail Scarf Awards have three size categories this year: Gavroche mousse L‘Art d‘Ecrire, 90x90 Les Boxes and CSGM Beloved India which is much more versatile than I thought ❤:

After crunching numbers I resemble @AnnaE ’s AA analogy...
 Hello, I’m turfNsurf &
I’m a Scarfaholic :cray:

I was blessed to have a wonderfully silky b-day, anni and xmas this year along with dear family who have honed in on my love of vintage H scarves. Of the  ahem, several dozen added to my collex this year, some were gifts and a few have yet to arrive.

Additions mainly stayed in my comfort zone of silk 90’s, but a pareo, a pointu, 2-CSPM and 2-CSGM made it into the mix as new-to-me formats.

Planets aligned and more than 10-Grails/p.Grails managed to come my way.

My Large Format nominees are:
Le Paradis duRoy GSGM, Cosmos CSGM,

this blue in your last Cosmos... !

Totally off topic but I received fleurs de giverny yesterday in the mail and decided to throw it on for a grocery store run. Ultimately decided on ITCW as it has never left the house! My New Years resolution is to enjoy my scarves daily no matter the activity. Maybe ITCW can get the Oscarf for always a bridesmaid never a bride. Added a bonus pic of my cavapoo Sammy and Russian blue Sophie.
lovely, Foxy, all those pictures!

Love your Ispahan, Xincinsin! Really special.

It is not possible to include quotes right now, so I try it this way:
Dear @turfnsurf, thank you so much for your nice reply! I really feel fortunate when seeing my three grails combined. - Major congrats on your more than 10 (!!!) grails this year! The pix posted are wonderful! Love Cosmos especially! ❤️❤️❤️

I so enjoy these statistical run downs of other scarfies! I also have some end-of-year purchases still en route that I guess I should count... :shrugs:

I’m have same feelings for Les Amazones ll by Dumas! I have a sage green early issue that doesn’t get much neck time, but I enjoy the design so much; it’s heaven on a square.
Coincidentally I also have the minty green Les Boxes whose possible twin may be coming your way. Mine has the softer grayed tones I struggle to optimally wear. I’ve found most success so far pairing with a stronger color & denim to make it work and may hang it up at some point...
I hope you enjoy it
So fabulous! The graphics on the Detail are so bold and dramatic and this is a great CW
Fabulous, turfnsurf

Congrats on your new Giverny, Foxy! What cute pets!

Went for a walk with another 2020 addition I forgot to tally up. This is 140 mousseline that was a special edition for the Beverly Hills boutique
Twins on this beauty, Anna!

A very special congratulation on your light blue Cosmos, I have the navy blue ... the price was exorbitant, that means we do have very rare and most sought precious CSGMs!
