I'm a little nervous about the Les Boxes. It's a sort of minty green, and I'm not sure whether it will suit me, but I kept going back and looking at it for weeks and decided I had to try it. If it's a miss I'll try to rehome and look for the light blue cw that's much more common and that I know will work for me, even if it's a color that I already have lots of in my collection. I love Clerc's style, it reminded me of a slightly more refined version of the illustrations in the Madeline books that I loved as a child.

I agree. I have found myself going down a bit of a clerc rabbit hole lately. The madeline comparison is so true.

Passing on Appaloosa des Steppes when available at H, I finally found one this year - my framboise/canard cw. Not easy to find, though; this one came from France and not pristine condition. I have washed it but feel a good starching is needed (or whatever that starch-like product is, which I know I can look up; the name is just eluding me right now).
I feel that I do need to reevaluate my collection but good luck to me to have the courage to part with any of it - what if my tastes change back? :panic:
There are some scarves I just don’t get around to wearing. And that makes me feel bad because I certainly don’t buy these at these variously expensive or occasional good-deal prices for them to sit in the drawer!

I also missed this scarf at first, and have been lusting after the one with black/white (@Living.la.vida.fifi and others), but this CW is also fabulous!!!

I have been collecting at full steam for a few years now and have reached the point where I feel that my collection is almost "complete" (whatever that means!), so I want to slow down and luxuriate in the details of all of the beautiful scarves that I am so lucky to already own.

Speaking of details, I couldn't resist twinning with @papertiger in my Liberty robe and my 2020 award-winner for Most Whimsical Acquisition - Au Fil de la Soie. Come to think of it, this scarf might be my all-time winner in the Most Meta Silk category, and this image might just up the ante. Thanks for the inspiration!

It was SOTD of another day.
(I think I should buy a Gris colored pullover.. haha :smile: )

First time, I was concerned that this scarf would be limited to make various knots and underutilized because it's smaller than ordinary Carrè 90. But I was worried for nothing! Actually, It's easier to make casual knots than Carrè 90, I think. I especially love this lively yellow-striped hem ♡

very versatile! At first I thought the last 2 pix were a different CW. Then realized the golden yellow wasn’t showing.

sorry to hear about your bad experiences. I have only purchased one scarf from TRR and it came with H box and original tags so did not arrive wrinkled. I feel lucky.

Today’s award is brought to you by the color pink - I love pink (except for the dreaded pepto-bismol shade :sick:) and find it a very flatteringly color for almost everyone. I’ve hosted the Pink Week in October, and never manage to show them all - because there is often a small hint of pink in many of my scarves. :love:
This year I brought in 4 new pinks: Tigre Royal Fleuri, Ex Libris Parisiennes, Jardins de Soie, and L’Ivresse de L’infini.
