My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Lovely pinks, and I agree... Your l'Ivresse is amazing, Cookie! ❤
Thank you - it makes me smile!
This Ivresse is fantastic !
Thank you! :hugs:
This summer's Lighter than Air week inspired me to hunt down a few mousseline scarves for myself. I was fortunate to acquire seven for my collection, including two Tapis Persans. I purchased a red version first, and got the anthracite version after reading how it was a great neutral scarf. I was confused at first as to how a scarf with turquoise, yellow, and orange as well as gray could be considered a neutral, but this became my most worn scarf in 2020 for a reason. When in doubt it worked most of the time.

The Oscarf for the Most Worn Scarf of the Year goes to Tapis Persans mousseline CW01 in Anthracite/Jaune/Aqua.

It's glorious and I  that gorgeous pop of yellow!
Fabulous pink additions to your collection  happy to be your Ex Libris Parisiennes twin.
Thank you sweetheart, I'm thrilled to be your twin! :hugs:

I was not as active as I wished in this thread..

However I wanted to take some times to thank you all for the wonderfull moments « spent together » in this thread.

The year was not easy ...
But coming here, seeing all your beautiful treasures and your smile, getting your appreciation, your nice comments and sometimes your enabling was very pleasant to me.
It brought me lots of joy and happiness.

Thanks to you all wonderfull people with exquisite taste! ❤
oooh- yay!!! I love Guepards! And the red is beautiful!

Totally cute with the hat and stripes!

Another dedicated searcher!

I can't wait to see it!

I adore all of these- because I am also a pink lover! But Tigre Royal looks so fab tied here!

Oh goodness! You have been busy! And you have the red Panthera Pardus that I love so much! And is that long blue one one of those leather ended maxi twillies? Would love to see a mod shot!
Thank you!! :hugs:
I think that knot is the Chou-chou? I saw it on the old Aesthetic Alterations blog, it's easy peasy with a 55!
love all of these! And that beautiful sweater too!

Love this design as well , I have 2 other CWs .
Thank you sweet Scarf1 - and we are twins (triplets?) with ELlP! :hugs:

I *just* missed out on the blue Dumas at a killer price while debating whether I should get another blue scarf, and now I'm obsessed with finding one. It looks like it will tie perfectly for showing off corners since all the horses are facing the "correct" direction.
I'm a little nervous about the Les Boxes. It's a sort of minty green, and I'm not sure whether it will suit me, but I kept going back and looking at it for weeks and decided I had to try it. If it's a miss I'll try to rehome and look for the light blue cw that's much more common and that I know will work for me, even if it's a color that I already have lots of in my collection. I love Clerc's style, it reminded me of a slightly more refined version of the illustrations in the Madeline books that I loved as a child.
I just bought my first Clerc scarf as well, it isn’t coming until the new year but I’m so excited!

Off topic: this doesn't win any award except for New Format Virgin
My very first outing with my very first Maxi Twilly - Guepards.
As you can see, I really like this shade of red :P

Oh, wowza, that is so beautiful, Xincinsin. I love, love, love the faces on the petit guepards. And the cw is stunning. Congratulations! I love this format.

I matched this scarf with yellow sweater, my DH said that I look like an egg yolk... OMG

It was SOTD of another day.
(I think I should buy a Gris colored pullover.. haha  )

First time, I was concerned that this scarf would be limited to make various knots and underutilized because it's smaller than ordinary Carrè 90. But I was worried for nothing! Actually, It's easier to make casual knots than Carrè 90, I think. I especially love this lively yellow-striped hem ♡

Wish you have a wonderful Wednesday! The place where I live has gotten very cold and now the temperature is below -10 degrees Celsius. Take care of your health, dear Scarfies ♡
Congratulations on your new PdP; it’s gorgeous. We are sisters, Yoon! :hugs: I have the rose VIF/minty green colorway. I love how you tied it in both ways - looks like two different scarves. Egg yolk:lol::lol::lol:! The 70 format is very versatile. Your knots are neat and lovely.410EC2A3-E84D-4C4B-9C94-707B0BEBE500.jpeg

No new pics today, but a quick tally of my purchases for the year:

New from boutique/h.com:
- 4 silk 90s (Plumes en Fete, Toucans de Paradis, Les Artisans d'Hermes [tried two cws, one went back], Wild Singapore
Preloved:
- 1 CSGM (Carre Kantha)
- 2 silk 90s (Into the Canadian Wild, Reve d'Australie)

In addition, I have a couple of preloved scarves currently in transit, which I won't actually get until 2021
- 1 CSGM (Patchwork Horse from 2014)
- 1 silk 90 (Les Boxes)

Overall, my collection grew more quickly than I expected, but it's been so much fun. I haven't really had the urge to shop other than scarves, so I probably didn't actually make much more of a dent in my wallet than I normally would, wardrobe-wise.

For 2021 I hope to get my first 70 and find some previously released scarves preloved that I've had an eye out for. Top of the list is Les Amazones by Dumas!
I so enjoy these statistical run downs of other scarfies! I also have some end-of-year purchases still en route that I guess I should count... :shrugs:

I’m have same feelings for Les Amazones ll by Dumas! I have a sage green early issue that doesn’t get much neck time, but I enjoy the design so much; it’s heaven on a square.
Coincidentally I also have the minty green Les Boxes whose possible twin may be coming your way. Mine has the softer grayed tones I struggle to optimally wear. I’ve found most success so far pairing with a stronger color & denim to make it work and may hang it up at some point...
I hope you enjoy it upon arrival!! :drinks:

Hello! I have been lurking on the forums for a while and would like to finally come out of the shadows to thank everyone for all of the positivity here over the past year. Scarf collecting was an even more enjoyable refuge for me than usual, and the photos and insight shared here are always helpful in making decisions and igniting inspiration. Thank you!

My New Year's Rescarfolution for 2021 is to devote more energy to enjoying the scarves I already have. I have been collecting at full steam for a few years now and have reached the point where I feel that my collection is almost "complete" (whatever that means!), so I want to slow down and luxuriate in the details of all of the beautiful scarves that I am so lucky to already own.

Speaking of details, I couldn't resist twinning with @papertiger in my Liberty robe and my 2020 award-winner for Most Whimsical Acquisition - Au Fil de la Soie. Come to think of it, this scarf might be my all-time winner in the Most Meta Silk category, and this image might just up the ante. Thanks for the inspiration!

Oh, so glad you’ve joined us! And, what a delight Intro! Hope it is the first if many...
Love how you’ve put this look together! I swear that PJs and scarves are becoming “a thing!” And, yes, this is most definitely Meta: pjs, a 90 and a giant silk!

I so enjoy these statistical run downs of other scarfies! I also have some end-of-year purchases still en route that I guess I should count... :shrugs:

Yes, that's it! I'm sorry it doesn't always work for you, it's a lovely design. Our coloring seems like it might be rather different--you can pull off some bright colors that make me nervous--so maybe it will work? These soft pastel/grayed tones can be finicky. We'll see!

This is a magnificent design and, they way you’ve tied it, it almost looks like two different CWs! Gorgeous!!
And, stay warm! Brrrrrrr
