Circle of life indeed!

Yes, this is the light bordered Nuba. I hesitate to say white because it has strong yellow undertones. The effect is not unlike Farrow and Ball ‘Clunch’. Being a work-horse scarf it gets a fair work out and this is probably my favourite way to wear it.

So appealing!! (Yet, I must resist)

I didn't think I had anything for this week's theme and then I remembered...

The Eye of Sauron sees all!
(Aarrgghh by Alice Shirley.)
As an Aussie, I don’t feel that snakes and spiders are very scary as they are much smaller than me and rather common. I suspect that the ‘jellyfish’ in Cosmographia are actually just flying rocks (the ‘jellyfish bit’ just being artistic licence (like how meteors used to be drawn)). On the other hand, I am justifiably afraid of sharks and the idea of flying ones (Nothing but a Dreamer) would definitely give me nightmares. (Although I vaguely recall a children’s book that had that concept as it’s theme; a boy kept as a pet a friendly flying shark!)
What a fab’ way to optimize the scare factor! You mentioned stylized meteors... I swear that Disney World’s Space Mountain roller coaster projected images of giant chocolate chip cookies on the ceiling as meteors for years!!

The man in the window on Minuit au Faubourg has always given me the creeps...
Honestly never noticed the window man- I’ve always been beguiled by the horse

I can share les Insectes- creepy crawlers that kinda stay hidden in the pleats, so maybe not that scary? Sharing a stock photo to better show off the silk infestation...

A sense of keen-edged terror which all of us scarf-lovers have experienced: FOMO - Fear Of Missing Out. When you agonize over whether or not to buy the 2nd choice green cw in your hands because you have no idea when your first choice blue cw will arrive, or if it will ever arrive... And you check the website 6 times a day hoping that the design you want is back in stock.
I admit here that all my CLFs are FOMO buys. Mr Bones is simply irresistable. Wearing today the grey cw and the marine dipdye.

Mine is red. It was the first piece to arrive at the boutique and no one knew when any more would come. So this was an instance of FOMO. I was eyeing the red cw and the black cw, so it would have been either.
ah, ok then, if it was a desired one anyway
but i really love mine, it's so light, not dominating over the rest of the outfit (like any other colour would be in this size)

Beautiful! This is one I honestly am interested in, but at the same time I’m not - I don’t like bugs - but this is gorgeous!
Flying today with Faubourg Rainbow Detail scarf 45 and The Game scarf 100. Practice the new knot by @Cookiefiend @bunnycat, and many more.... love this knot :drinks:
This is adorable!
another new scarf, not quite scary, but given the recent accident with Notre Damme i still think it kinda fits in
Recently, I've been tying together 2 scarves because I like the length. Today, it's March du Zambeze and Les Confessions:

Perfect!

"This is Halloween, this is Halloween
Pumpkins scream in the dead of night
This is Halloween, everybody make a scene
Trick or treat till the neighbors die of fright"

A local DJ used to play a fab mashup of this with PiL's Auslander. Definitely NOT Disney-approved.

Yesterday, obligatory Caducee Rock, complete with skulls and serpents:

The poster is a humorous imagining of archaeological layers of the city, complete with lots of skulls. I completely forgot to grab the artist's name, but will update.

And today, Les Bains, "artistically" shot in too much sunlight. I'm afraid of heights, and Bains is just one big vertiginous panic attack for me. But the details are so cute!
