The thought of a Chinese princess who has suitor after suitor beheaded is pretty bloodthirsty frightening. The sea creatures can look a bit scary, too... Turandot

And, the horror of just disappearing into the sea: Atlantis

To me, tattos are scary not because of the finished product which can be beautiful due to the artistry involved... I just have a problem with the actual process involving needles and the skin. Woot!

On-theme today with my Halloween colored Cheval a la Couverture CSGM. (Plus the horsie is in costume! And looks kinda creepy!)

This is a purchase that I've come to regret and have only worn once. I'm planning to rehome it but at least I can share it once here.

This one only has a very mild eek factor.

Lizard, snail, mouse & bugs.

Cave Felem
Gorgeously creepy wee beasties! I always feel bad for the kitty, but as least he looks well fed.

Halloween Eve - pulling out the stops now...
Oh sure this looks nice -

But ‘looks’ are deceiving.
Annee du Rat and Metamorphose d’un Carre - rats (ewwwwwwwww) need no explanation, but let’s think about Franz Kafka’s book Metamorphosis.
Totally creep-tastic

Edited - SIGH - the website on the phone got me again!
SO - De La Mer au Ciel - so pretty but the ocean is a scary place! I love it but... so pretty, so full of DANGER. Biting things, stinging things, poisonous things!
And I am allergic to shellfish - extra danger things!
Definitely Kafka-esque!
Also, I’d hate to get smacked with that flying fish (I’ve seen leaping/flying fish hit unsuspecting boaters); that’d definitely leave a mark!

I didn’t know the backstory on Turandot; seems so serene... eeek!
Your bold collex always knocks me out

It’s beautiful on you! I love it’s boldness and the flowy way you’ve tied it reminds me of candy corn- perfect for Halloween eve.

I didn't think I had any scary scarves, but @Cookiefiend inspired me to revsit my ocean-themed silks for spooky sea creatures. And look who I found lurking in Grands Fonds

MR. LIONFISH!!! :panic: :panic: :panic:

Now, according to Dr. Google, lionfish are venomous, not poisonous, so if you happen to (accidentally? how?????) eat one, you'll be fine. But having an encounter with the spines will leave you with a very uncomfy rash and painful blisters, or even worse, if you're allergic. So be careful.

This snake looks pretty friendly! (But I'd still look at him through binoculars…)
Thanks!

It is definitely cheery and upbeat!

Ohhhhhh you have my grail scarf! This looks so fantastic on you. I love those bright colors, especially the yellows. What a happy scarf

Woot woot!!
Indeed... Thanks much!

OMG just look at those luscious colors... So amazing!

This was my SOTD today... one of my most recent purchases that I’ve been dying to wear so I took it for an inaugural spin: Plaza de Toros. And, it’s perfect for this week’s theme because I detest bullfighting and wrestled with the thought of owning anything related to it. To me it’s inhuman and barbaric. My grandfather and great grandparents were Spanish, but all from northern Spain where there is not a bullfighting tradition, and they all hated it. But, I’ve been on a mission to collect as many Spanish-themed Hermes scarves because of my heritage, thus my decision to get this design. I already have an orange and red one and thought I was done until I saw this amazing CW and had to have it. I love the fuchsia, aqua and other bright colors. I hide the bulls, poor horses, toreadors and picadors and focus on the gorgeous borders featuring traditional tassel decorations. The first two pics are of my new scarf and the third is of the first one.

I love the inaugural wear. Is there a name for it... the unfolding? The breaking?

Asking for a friend
